Chapter 757: Chapter 456 Country Trivial Matters_2

Jiang Ning’s insight was remarkably sharp, and he saw through the sisters’ thoughts with a single glance.

“What are you thinking? I’m here to ask for your cooperation in an investigation about your cousin.”

The two won breathed a sigh of relief, feeling both relieved and embarrassed for having thought ill of him.

Chen Siqing, the more mature of the two, asked,

“What do you need my cousin for? He’s not a good person.”

A look of disgust flashed across her face. Their cousin had a terrible character and had been cruel to them since childhood. When they used to visit his house as children, he would steal money and bla them, resulting in their parents beating them.

As they grew up, to show off, he often shared their QQ IDs with aimless youths in the society, causing them to receive strange friend requests.

He even urged them to date these people from society.

Chen Siyu told Jiang Ning, “My cousin used to play slot machines, losing money. Later, as he gambled more, he accumulated a huge debt of several hundred thousand, sold his house, and was disowned by my uncle and aunt.”

Jiang Ning was curious, “Haven’t you deleted him as a friend?”

Chen Siqing hesitated for a mont, “He’s ntally unstable, so we don’t dare to delete him.”

Jiang Ning understood the situation; those addicted to gambling were mostly beyond help.

No wonder he targeted the sisters. Beautiful won were common, but beautiful twins were rare and could cover his gambling debts.

He looked straight at the sisters, “I’m here this ti to resolve the problem with your cousin.”

Chen Siyu blinked curiously, “How will you resolve it?”

Beside her, Chen Siqing was equally curious. Their identical delicate faces, when turned together toward soone, gave a disorienting feeling of a mixed-up world.

Jiang Ning said sternly, “Do as I say.”

The next second, both won exclaid together, “Okay!”

They trusted Jiang Ning, a habit ford over a long period.

Just as Bai Yuxia steps onto the stage, they knew Xiaxia would dazzle the audience.

Or when sothing was missing, going to Huang Yuzhu, who could always produce the needed item.

Or like when the math teacher Gao Heshuai posed a question, soone would inevitably end up punished by standing.

Following Jiang Ning’s instructions, the won contacted their cousin via QQ, who replied ecstatically.

The cousin planned to treat them to a lavish al and told them a car would arrive at Tiansheng Square later.

Though the sisters were naive, they were not vague about certain things; otherwise, they would have been deceived long ago.

“With here,” Jiang Ning gave them an assuring look.

Chen Siyu clutched her sister, feeling the coolness of her arm despite the sumr heat.

They reached the intersection and waited for about ten minutes before a white van slowly pulled up.

The window rolled down, revealing a benign male face. He looked at the identical sisters with a flash of surprise, then smiled contentedly,

“Are you Siyu and Siqing? I’m a friend of your cousin, get in the car!”

Chen Siyu and Chen Siqing glanced at Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning didn’t linger; stepping forward, he left a parting remark,

“Go back.”

He opened the car door. The van had three rows, seating seven, with the back two rows facing each other like train seats.

The dimly-lit van was filled with wary glances.

A man in his forties with untidy beard and hoarse voice said,

“Get lost.”

Jiang Ning replied, “I’m her classmate.”

“Ha,” a very obese man, weighing over two hundred pounds, scoffed.

The man in the passenger seat hurriedly added, “Oh, Gongzi, guests are valuable. Having one more person won’t cost much, get in, get in!”

Jiang Ning got into the van nonchalantly; waving the Chen sisters away, indicating they should leave.

Chen Siyu looked at his resolute departing figure, her eyes rippling; Jiang Ning was risking himself to help them.

She rembered the scenes of Jiang Ning fighting; his commanding presence remained in her mind, never fading.

‘I trust him!’

‘I can’t let him risk himself!’

Chen Siyu clenched her teeth and got in the car, followed by her equally agitated sister, Chen Siqing.

Admiration appeared in Jiang Ning’s eyes.

“Hahaha, good!” The affable man from the passenger seat laughed, “Close the door!”

Simultaneously, the doors and windows of the van shut, sealing the already dim environnt inside.

The two-hundred-pound Old Gong fixated on Jiang Ning. Now that he had the twins, this show-off young man was useless.

Once they left the urban area, they could easily find a place to strangle him.

He lasciviously eyed the twins, contemplating having his fun once they reached the location. His pig-like face twisted into a cruel smile.

Chen Siyu and Chen Siqing were terrified, as if facing a primitive beast, realizing just how dangerous their situation was.

Jiang Ning said, “Brother, keep your eyes to yourself.”

The mont he spoke, the unkempt bearded man shockingly pulled out a dagger, the light glinting off the blade as he pressed it to Jiang Ning’s throat.

The twins shuddered.

Jiang Ning moved faster, seizing the man’s wrist before he could see the action.

A hiss of pain echoed.

The massive man nad Gongzi abruptly stood up, swinging his huge fist at Jiang Ning.

“Gongzi!” soone from the passenger seat called out.

Gongzi then stopped his assault, glaring at Jiang Ning and tossed out a sentence, “Just wait for your death!”

The kind man from the passenger seat said,

“Gongzi, Madman, what are you doing? No need for violence.”

At that mont, the van was driving across a large bridge, Chen Siyu glanced outside. The river below the bridge divided Yuzhou City, becoming more desolate the farther they went.

Jiang Ning’s calm deanor slightly reassured the sisters, though they were still anxious, never having experienced such an event in all their years.
