Chapter 918: Chapter 534: Guests_2

Then, he took off his shoes, lay down on the hammock, and continued to rest.

Xue Yuantong was dumbfounded; she wanted to lie down, but now the spot was occupied by Jiang Ning.

She glanced at Xue Chuchu next to her.

Xue Chuchu indicated that there was nothing she could do.

Xue Yuantong waited for several minutes, but Jiang Ning still showed no intention of getting out of the hammock.

She pulled Chuchu aside, a bit farther, and complained, “Chuchu, he’s too much! We clearly set up the spot together, and now he’s totally hogging it!”

“Set up together?” Xue Chuchu held a skeptical view.

However, as Tongtong’s close friend, Xue Chuchu nodded slightly, “Hmm, yeah.”

“Chuchu, do you have any way to get him off?” Xue Yuantong said venomously.

Xue Chuchu suggested, “How about waking him up?”

Xue Yuantong refused, “No way, that would make look so inconsiderate!”

Xue Chuchu: “?”

“How about this, I’ll shake the hammock, make it so he can’t rest peacefully and feels uncomfortable, then he’ll surely get out,” Xue Yuantong said cunningly.

Xue Chuchu thought to herself, “Clearly, this thod is even more vicious.”

“I think it’s fine,” Xue Chuchu agreed.

Plan settled, Xue Yuantong ran to the side of the hammock, grabbed the rope, and started shaking it lightly, causing the hammock to sway.

Xue Yuantong alternated shaking left and right, and the swaying arc of the hammock grew larger and larger, almost teetering to the brink.

This lasted five minutes, but Jiang Ning still didn’t react.

Xue Yuantong, adaptable as always, began shaking the hammock irregularly, sotis pulling right imdiately after it swung left, making its motion unpredictable.

Xue Yuantong shook it for a full ten minutes before stopping.

Xue Chuchu cast a puzzled glance at Tongtong, “Jiang Ning still hasn’t woken up, why did you stop shaking?”

Xue Yuantong gasped for air and gestured to Chuchu, “Let take a break, I’m exhausted.”

Jiang Ning, having sensed her actions, opened his eyes and said, “Keep going, shake for another two minutes; maybe I’ll fall asleep.”

Five in the afternoon, Hu Qi Mountain.

The mountain ranges were stained red by the evening glow, the setting sun pierced through the treetops, filtering through sparse branches and leaves, landing among the grass at Jiang Ning’s feet, where rustling noises erged.

These sounds were drowned out by the nearby gurgling of a creek as Jiang Ning stepped out of the woods to a massive rock midway up the mountain, surveying below.

A crimson sun was descending in the sky, while countless rays of evening light fell upon the distant Qingyu Lake, illuminating it so it shimred brilliantly. A gentle breeze brushed past, making the water ripple, and the light trembled accordingly.

Jiang Ning continued upward; he ca to fulfill a promise, to bring Tongtong so delicious food.

Hu Qi Mountain was now abundant with Spiritual Energy, moreover, sealed off from outsiders by Jiang Ning, who had also introduced so animals through Shao Shuangshuang, resulting in a vigorous scene.

He passed a giant tree that would require two people to wrap their arms around it, lightly tracing its trunk with his fingers, a gray wild mushroom flew to his palm.

“Perfect for making soup.”

Jiang Ning wandered idly through the mountain forest, owning the entire mountain top, all its resources belonging to him.

Within his Divine Sense, a multi-colored wild chicken suddenly flapped its wings and took flight; Jiang Ning casually marked it.

Arriving at the spot where the wild chicken had been, he found a nest with four wild eggs.

Jiang Ning had eaten wild chickens in his childhood, but these wild eggs were a first for him; compared to ordinary eggs, those laid by wild chickens were noticeably smaller.

With a casual gesture, he collected the four wild eggs into his Storage Ring.

For the mushroom soup, the only ingredient missing was so greens, just perfect as he still had a bit at ho.

Jiang Ning summoned the Spirit Boat and leaped aboard.

The Spirit Boat streaked a stream of light as it flew upward along Hu Qi Mountain, passing by the creek, where several rabbits furtively drank water, their ears perked up vigilantly monitoring their surroundings.

The ecosystem of Hu Qi Mountain was balanced, where rabbits had natural enemies such as wild cats and foxes.

A rabbit was peacefully drinking water when suddenly, one rabbit shot into the air, startling the other rabbits, making them scatter in fright. The flying rabbit soared higher and higher until it disappeared from sight.

On the Spirit Boat, Jiang Ning grasped the rabbit.

The rabbit was agile, its strong legs kicked furiously, trying to escape the grip of the devilish hand and return to nature’s embrace.

Jiang Ning gave the rabbit’s head a slap, and it was instantly gone.

He weighed it in his hand; the wild rabbit, having consud Spirit Grass on Hu Qi Mountain all year, was full of nutrition, grown quite large, weighing a full sixteen pounds, making it a champion among rabbits.

Jiang Ning carried the rabbit leisurely back to the river dam.

At this ti, a group of guests arrived at the river dam.

Li Shi, tall and slender, stood at the entrance of the rural tourism, eyeing the facilities and the firecracker debris on the ground, with intense skepticism in her eyes, she said:

“Just this?”

“Is this the rural tourism you ntioned? What good food could possibly be here? To be frank, I’d rather go to the one we visited in the suburbs last ti; at least they made their roast whole lamb well.”

Li Shi’s words were full of distrust towards these two small venues.

The rural tourism she’d visited before had a particularly large courtyard, even had an orchard, pond, expressly for custor recreation.

Wang Yong said, “This rural tourism is opened by a friend of my dad’s; I heard there’s sothing intriguing here, so we decided to check it out. If the food isn’t good, we’ll just head back ho.”

Wang Yong was very humble and respectful towards Li Shi.

After all, Li Shi was beautiful and her family conditions were excellent; if it weren’t for his connection with Lin Zida, Li Shi wouldn’t even glance at him.

Lin Zida said cheerfully, “We’re already here, let’s take a look.”

He gazed around, saying, “Actually, the surroundings here are quite nice; close to the urban area, unlike that last rural tourism which was so isolated, rather suitable for running a rural tourism.”
