"The mushrooms from the neighbors, see, it’s theirs." Boss Yang looked towards the bungalow in the distance.

Earlier, he was helping with the lamb stew in the yard, not noticing anything special. But once he stepped out, the overwhelming aroma of roast at hit him.

It instantly reminded him of the terror of being dominated by egg fried rice last ti.

Indeed, it’s through the experience from last ti that Yang Fei built so immunity. Plus, having lived this long and tasted various delicacies, his resistance to it is slightly stronger than others.

"Are mushrooms tasty?" Yang Fei wondered.

No matter how good mushrooms are, can they compare to the lamb he slices?

Yang Fei couldn’t understand.

Li Shi slled the fragrance and couldn’t help but exclaim, ’Not just tasty, it’s downright heavenly!’"

The grilled mushrooms were extrely tender and delicious, the aroma rich and appealing. In terms of taste and texture, what’s more magical is that after eating the mushrooms, she felt refreshed.

Li Shi even thought that with her current state, she could now perfectly perform so high-difficulty moves from her previous street dance classes.

But since Yang Fei ntioned that the mushrooms ca from Jiang Ning, Li Shi couldn’t praise them too much, hiding her true feelings: "It’s okay, it’s just that too much at gets a bit greasy, so mushrooms are nice."

Yang Fei replied: "I have fruits here, grapefruit, grapes, I’ll wash so for you to taste."

Li Shi waved her hand: "No need."

Seeing this, Yang Fei hesitated for a mont; he valued this rural tourism spot greatly.

Born in the countryside, he married a city wife for love years ago, his father-in-law owns a company, and his assets have long crossed a billion.

Though he hadn’t faced much disdain over the years, staying at his father-in-law’s company always felt uncomfortable—it’s unpleasant to say but he was just a son-in-law.

Now, he had started sothing on his own, trying out a rural tourism spot, and felt the long-lost freedom.

It’s the first day of business today, a good start is crucial, leading him to ponder: ’Should I borrow so mushrooms from Jiang Ning? Jiang Ning ntioned before that they had an excess of mushrooms at ho, couldn’t finish them, and that’s why he sent him one piece.’

Yang Fei still felt uneasy about it.

After so internal debate, Yang Fei decided to give it a try; after all, they are neighbors, there’s no harm in asking.

Yang Fei stepped towards Jiang Ning’s dining table.

Li Shi said no, but observing Yang Fei’s receding figure, a hint of joy unexpectedly appeared in her once arrogant eyes.

However, Li Shi naturally wouldn’t show such anticipation publicly—just mushrooms.

Li Shi sat back down, picked up a grape, and took a tentative bite.

Zhuang Jianhui, who had been observing coldly, expressed helplessness on his handso face, joking:

"All of you, who’ve been to all kinds of fancy restaurant, fussing over a mushroom? There’s not much ambition, huh?"

Lin Zida explained: "Mainly, after eating too much lamb, it does get greasy."

"Alright, you guys go ahead." Zhuang Jianhui shrugged it off, picking up a grilled lamb skewer seasoned liberally with spices and took a bite, indeed quite good.

"Boss Yang’s rural tourism is nice; it’s hands-on fun, and the taste is no worse than the city plus cleaner at. What’s more, it’s not as noisy as the city, there’s a transcendent kind of tranquility here." Zhuang Jianhui comnted.

Regularly in Class 8, Wang Yong’s family background is considered decent, but at this mont, he could only begrudgingly grill the at. He rotated the skewer, wiped his sweat:

"Hey, as long as you guys enjoy it, Brother Hui!"

Zhuang Jianhui wasn’t just a commander—he said: "The iPhone 6 Plus is about to launch; I’ll get a few units through connections to swap out your 5S."

Wang Yong felt elated inside. Although his family had so influence, nonetheless, a new iPhone was quite an expensive purchase, especially if Brother Hui got him the version with the largest mory, and to get it early—definitely a status symbol.

Wang Yong happily said: "Thanks, Brother Hui."

It’s not just the new iPhone; primarily, it’s Brother Hui’s recognition, greatly beneficial to his parents.

Kids from their large compound received parental guidance since young, maturing more than their peers.

Lin Zida finished coaxing Jianhui and exchanged glances with Li Shi.

Lin Zida’s eyes were playful: ’Aren’t you the one who wants to pursue my brother? Why hide the mushrooms?’"

Li Shi replied, ’Isn’t he your brother too?’

...

Nightfall.

Xue Family, the empty space by the door, illuminated area.

A not-so-big folding table was adorned with roasted rabbit at, fruit platters, and cane juice, the three sat around, creating a warm atmosphere.

Almost level with the table surface was the barbecue grill, the charcoal inside glowing red, not yet burnt out. Jiang Ning picked up three skewered mushrooms, rolling them over the open fla, the oil sizzling and releasing a unique aroma.

Xue Yuantong sat on a small round stool, tearing chunks of rabbit at, eating and drinking cane juice heartily, her tiny fra but with grand gestures, like a hero in Jianghu.

In contrast, Xue Chuchu was more restrained; she didn’t follow Jiang Ning and Tongtong in tearing rabbit at with hands, thinking it too unrefined.

Unable to resist, Xue Chuchu poked with chopsticks trying to remove the at but couldn’t.

As frustration surged in her heart, she withdrew the chopsticks.

Jiang Ning sprinkled cumin and chili on grilled mushrooms, handing a skewer to Chuchu, reminding her: "Be careful, it’s hot."

Xue Yuantong: "Hmph."

Jiang Ning gave her another skewer, finally satisfying her.

Xue Chuchu’s craving was sowhat soothed by the mushrooms, yet she still wanted at, her eyes constantly glimpsing at the barbecue tray holding the rabbit at.

Due to family upbringing and teenage pride, Xue Chuchu wasn’t comfortable tearing rabbit at in front of Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning noticed her predicant, his hand reaching out to tear a fragrant piece of rabbit at, offering it towards the girl’s direction.
