“Yes,” Chiang Xiao said.

A group of young n stood inside the gate, arms slung over each other, looking at them with grins plastered on their faces, radiating a cocky and streetwise vibe.
When they got a clear look at Chiang Xiao, their eyes lit up.
“Oh! This girl is gorgeous! Where’s she from? What’s your na?”
“Co on in and hang with us! We were just saying we don’t have enough girls to really have a good ti!”
“Co on, co on!”
Before long, a few of the young n stretched out their hands, trying to pull her over.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The uncle stepped forward nervously, shielding Chiang Xiao behind him and barking, “She’s not like you lot!”
“Get lost, you! Who do you think you are?”
One of the young n shoved him aside with a sweep of his arm.
Chiang Xiao reached out to steady him and said, “Uncle, stand to the side for now. Let talk to them.”
Yes, she had co to speak peacefully. She was determined not to resort to violence.
Chiang Xiao cast a cold glance at the group. By now, everyone in the yard had gathered around, drawn by her presence.
“Ah, co on, beautiful! Say whatever you want; we’re all ears. We’ve got infinite patience for pretty girls!” one of the young n smirked.
“I’d like to ask you to turn the speakers down and stop shouting. Keep it quiet. You’re disturbing the neighbors,” Chiang Xiao said calmly.
She thought her tone was quite friendly.
The group erupted in laughter at her words.
“Miss, do you even know what rock ‘n’ roll is? How are we supposed to enjoy it softly?”
“Are you from the left or the right neighbor? Either way, you’re a neighbor — co join us! Here, we’ve got beer for you!”
Another young man sidled up to her and tried to pull her in again.
Chiang Xiao took a step back. “Speak properly. Don’t put your hands on .”
The man chuckled mischievously. “Oh, a bit of a temper? That’s my favorite kind!”
As he said this, he stretched his hand toward Chiang Xiao’s face.
The others stood around laughing.
Soone popped open a bottle of beer and splashed it toward her. “Co on, let’s give you a taste. Then we’ll all be friends!”
Chiang Xiao’s expression completely darkened. She lifted a foot and kicked an empty beer bottle on the ground toward the man.
Bang!
The bottle struck the man squarely in the stomach, making him yelp in pain. The beer he was holding crashed to the ground as he doubled over, clutching his belly.
At the sa ti, Chiang Xiao swung a punch at the man reaching for her face.
Her fist landed squarely on his nose.
Two streams of bright red blood instantly ran down his face.
“My nose…” The young man clutched his nose and scread.
It hurt so much!
It felt like his nose was completely broken!
The uncle stared wide-eyed at Chiang Xiao.
Everyone else froze, unsure how to react.
“I spoke to you politely, but do you not understand human language? Turn the volu down! If you bother again, I’ll smash your stereo!”
Seriously, why did they have to push her to this? She was clearly a lady!
