He finished speaking, and ng Xinian thought the sa way.
“Have you found Little?”
“Found her. She ca back last night, but now we don’t know where she’s gone.” Cheng Cheng said, handing him a list.
“I’ve temporarily fiddled with it a bit, but we still need soone to handle this, try to erase Little’s information.”
Just in case.
ng Xinian nodded, quickly scanning through the list, and indeed saw Chiang Xiao’s na. His heart initially relaxed a little, but then tightened again.
She’s back.
But since she’s returned, yet hasn’t appeared, she must have encountered so problem.
There’s a situation on her end, and soone is checking the passenger list too; it’s very likely they’re targeting her.
What he needed to do now was clean up for her.
“I’ll handle it, you take care of Uncle Six here first.”
After speaking, ng Xinian didn’t hesitate further, striding out to deal with the situation.
Cheng Cheng entered the ward, and Ah Liu happened to wake up.
Upon seeing him, Ah Liu struggled to sit up.
Cheng Cheng quickly went over to support him, placing a pillow behind his back.
“Is today the sixth day?”
“Yes, godfather, does your head still hurt now?”
“It’s manageable, not very painful.” Ah Liu’s face was very pale, and he looked listless. These past two days, he had been in a long period of unconsciousness, and would occasionally be awoken by headaches even while asleep.
“Do you want so water?” Cheng Cheng went over and poured a cup of water, handing it to him.
Ah Liu took it, asking, “Has Little co back?”
“She should have returned, found her flight information, but she hasn’t co ho yet.”
Cheng Cheng didn’t intend to hide it from him.
In his view, with Chiang Xiao’s abilities and intelligence, nothing should go wrong, at most just held up for a while.
Ah Liu couldn’t help but feel a bit worried upon hearing this, “Is sothing wrong?”
“No problem, no problem, she’ll probably be back soon, Xinian is at the airport now, and should be bringing her back soon.”
“Hmm, what ti is it now? Can they still get married?”
“They should be able to; it’s only noon, and they can do it in the afternoon.”
Speaking of this, Cheng Cheng looked at Ah Liu’s face but couldn’t help feeling heavy-hearted. “Godfather, Doctor Chen said it’s best to have the surgery as soon as possible.”
“When?”
“Within three days.”
“That’s not possible.” Ah Liu imdiately shook his head, though shaking made his head ache fiercely, with black spots swimming in front of his eyes.
He leaned back but didn’t want Cheng Cheng to notice, adding, “After so many years, a few more days don’t matter. Xinian and Little are getting married today; at least let them enjoy a month of happiness. It’s not right for just after getting married to be having surgery, forcing them to be stuck in the hospital with every day.”
“Though that’s true, they have plenty of ti in the future…”
“It’s different.” Ah Liu sighed softly, “Think about it, if I go into surgery now, Little will only rember spending this month in the hospital with when she thinks about her wedding day, where’s the happiness in that?”
He paused, even though he felt he shouldn’t speak so depressingly, he was more relaxed in front of Cheng Cheng, knowing Cheng Cheng wouldn’t speak recklessly, not to ntion he needed to gain Cheng Cheng’s support.
Can’t possibly have no one standing with him.
“Besides, if the surgery goes well, Little and Xinian would just be here caregiving, but what if it doesn’t go well?”
