Sun Chao was not one to put on airs. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Tang Qing, but since he was involved in this matter, it was necessary to understand it thoroughly. If he didn’t look because he was concerned about Tang Qing’s face, that would be silly. Sun Chao took the contract and started to read it carefully.
Seeing Sun Chao looking through the contract carefully, Tang Qing’s mouth curled into a smile. Sun Chao passed his test. Many people would pay lip service out of concern for face, refusing to look even when eager to do so. But Sun Chao was straightforward. Even if he had already expressed trust, he still would carefully review the contract to avoid any potential misunderstandings. This wasn’t a romantic relationship, there was no need for a ’dare you question ’ attitude.
It took about ten minutes for Sun Chao to finish reading the entire contract. The most concern was about the interest. To his surprise, the specified interest in the contract was only one percent, which was incredibly low for a private lending agreent. So might think it was a profitable deal when compared to the bank’s nearly 0.5 percent interest rate, but actually, it was two different concepts. For example, a bottle of cola costs about three yuan, but if it sells for twenty yuan in a five-star hotel, this does not an it’s profiteering. The cost of finance for a bank is very low, attracting masses of citizens’ deposits with its size and legality. But what about private lending? Basically, the money is their own, so if there’s a loss, everyone suffers. Therefore, saying that one percent interest is non-profit wasn’t wrong at all.
Moreover, if the money was raised through fundraising, the lending cost would be more than one percent. Not to ntion the managent cost and the loss of interest during the idle period of short-term lending, one percent interest is absolutely a loss.
"Little Tang, your interest rate is so low? Are you making money? Isn’t this a loss-making enterprise? Apart from this, the default penalty is a bit high." Sun Chao closed the contract and said in confusion.
"Hehe, I’m not really planning to make money from this. I just want to help those bosses who are short of money and are decent people. As for the default penalty, it’s only to remind them not to default. If they repay within the specified period of ten days, I don’t plan to enforce the default provisions. Of course, this is not written into the contract to prevent abuses." Tang Qing explained patiently.
Tang Qing paused for a mont and then continued, "As for my main business, you’ll know gradually. Don’t worry, I’m still young and won’t get involved in affairs I shouldn’t."
Tang Qing couldn’t reveal his whole plot yet, especially his foreign exchange trading with Liu Qian. This was sothing he wasn’t planning to tell Sun Chao, at least not in a short period of ti. He wouldn’t let him participate either, allowing him only to know that he was making money legally through the stock market and international financial market.
"Hmm, you’re not that kind of person." Sun Chao handed the contract back.
"Hehe, thank you for your trust, Sun. Let’s go take a tour of the company. You can go straight there to register tomorrow. I have classes, and can’t pick you up. My general manager is working overti too." Tang Qing said with a smile.
"Alright." Sun Chao replied.
They had been driving slowly all the way to let Sun Chao read the contract. Now that this was finished and all the confusions were clarified, Tang Qing pressed the gas and arrived at Sheng Tang Apparel in just two minutes.
From afar, Tang Qing saw old man Wu pacing back and forth at the entrance, and Chen Han... Well, he was standing upright at the entrance apparently practicing his military bearing.
The car slowly stopped in front of the main entrance of Sheng Tang Apparel.
Wu Qi and Chen Han both turned their gazes towards them. They didn’t know this car. As they were about to step forward to ask, they saw Tang Qing alight from the driver’s seat, followed by Sun Chao.
"Hello, Mr. Wu." Tang Qing walked over to greet him after he alighted from the car. Initially, he could have remained in the car, but he wanted to introduce Sun Chao to the guards at the gate, and in direct terms, introduce Sun Chao to his new work environnt. At least, there was no office politics at this early stage of his company.
"Hello, Boss Tang, I’ll open the door right away." Upon seeing Tang Qing, Wu Qi imdiately changed his expression to a smile and imdiately used the remote control to open the electric sliding door.
"Thanks for the effort, Mr. Wu. This car will henceforth be my dedicated vehicle. Plus, this is my driver and bodyguard, Sun Chao. You all will be colleagues from now on." Tang Qing said as he introduced Sun Chao to the guards. Turning to Chen Han, who had also stepped forward, he said,
"Brother Chen, this is Sun Chao. He will be working with you all in the sa departnt. He cos from a military background, specifically the Special Forces. You all should get to know each other better." In order to avert any misconceptions, he stated Sun Chao’s background right away. After all, hiring a driver and bodyguard from outside the company, rather than from within, might naturally lead to so speculation, especially as besides the head of the security departnt, who was also from the Special Forces, the others were from standard military branches.
True to Tang Qing’s prediction, Chen Han showed signs of discontent when he heard that Sun Chao was to be Tang Qing’s driver and bodyguard. It was unavoidable to wonder why an outsider was chosen instead of soone from within the company. Although he had a keen sense that Sun Chao had a military background, as a soldier who respects strength and combat abilities, there was nothing wrong about this speculation. However, his discontent was imdiately quelled when he heard that Sun Chao hailed from the Special Forces. This prestigious and powerful background made Tang Qing’s choice of Sun Chao understandable.
"Hello, my na is Chen Han. I am looking forward to learning from you in future." Chen Han reached out and shook hands with Sun Chao, speaking in a stern tone. A strong person is naturally worthy of respect.
"My na is Sun Chao. It’s not about who instructs whom, we all progress together." Sun Chao responded with a smile, to the surprise of even Tang Qing who was standing at the side. He was curious that Sun Chao was unexpectedly modest, but this was even better. He didn’t need a brash military officer.
After the introductions, Tang Qing laughed and said, "We will have plenty of ti for exchanges later. For now, I will head in first, Mr. Wu."
After saying so, Tang Qing and Sun Chao got back into the car and drove into the courtyard.
Even though it was a Sunday, there were still many people working overti, particularly in the Design Departnt where half of the people were present. All other departnts also had staff on duty.
As soon as he entered the building, he saw people moving about. Especially the Design Departnt on the second floor, it was filled with won’s voices. From the first floor he could hear their chattering noises but couldn’t make out what they were saying. It was such a harmonious sight. He hoped there weren’t any of them bad mouthing him, their blood-sucking boss, haha.
"Boss Tang, good afternoon." Even though the company didn’t have much business going on, there was still a receptionist. They had two who worked in shifts, and today, a spaced-out young girl was on duty. She was idly staring at her touch--not plant, but as soon as she heard footsteps and saw it was her employer, she imdiately stood up.
"Hello, Sister Lv, daydreaming again?" Tang Qing teased.
"That’s not true! It’s just that there aren’t many people today." The young girl stuck out her tongue and replied shyly.
"Well, I’m not blaming you. Next ti bring so books to read, learn more. You majored in finance, you’d definitely have a chance if the finance departnt expands and starts internal recruitnt." Tang Qing said. Tang Qing was aware that she had a two-year tertiary degree and had failed to secure a finance position in the company initially, therefore, she ended up as a receptionist.
"Really? But I don’t have a high enough degree!" Lv Yan exclaid in surprise. Of course she knew what this company was like. According to the company’s plans, it would keep growing, and requirents for academic qualifications would certainly beco stricter. If she hadn’t been in a rush to find a job to make money back then, she wouldn’t have stayed here as a receptionist.
"Academic qualifications only represent your past. As long as you work hard and aim for improvent, the company will definitely give you the chance." Tang Qing said.
"Thank you, Boss Tang, I will work hard." Hearing this, Lv Yan was suddenly filled with hope. With the Boss’s endorsent, as long as she worked hard, the company would certainly give her a chance. She couldn’t help but feel excited at the thought. After all, in terms of treatnt, realization of personal value and promotion channels, the differences between business and non-business personnel were stark.
"Yes, work hard. The company won’t bury talents." Tang Qing said with a smile. To be honest, this feeling of deciding soone’s fate really could be addictive. He even felt a bit conceited.
"Yes, bye, Boss Tang." Lv Yan semi-bowed.
"Okay."
After saying that, Tang Qing turned around and went upstairs. Sun Chao, who had been standing nearby, also had quite a few thoughts. This young man beside him could decide a person’s fate with just a few words, capable of causing a great change in soone’s spirit. He simply didn’t know how to describe this.
Well... maybe this is the taste of power.
Tang Qing and Sun Chao went into Yang Kai’s office. The door was closed, so Tang Qing knocked a few tis before entering. He wouldn’t be rude enough to just barge in.
"Knock, knock, knock..."
"Co in." Yang Kai’s voice ca from inside.
Tang Qing pushed the door and went in. Once Sun Chao closed the door, Tang Qing understood why Yang Kai shut his door. It was because the girls on the second floor were too noisy. Probably due to the nature of their work or overti, he couldn’t scold them, only opting for out of sight, out of mind. Won, can’t provoke them, better to avoid them.
Seeing Tang Qing, Yang Kai imdiately stopped his work, stood up and warmly greeted, "Boss Tang, you ca, please have a seat."
He then poured a glass of water each for Tang Qing and Sun Chao. The company was still small and there was obviously no secretary, so he had to take care of these things by himself.
"Yang, this is to be my future driver and bodyguard. I’ve also bought a car which is parked down there. He will report for work tomorrow. Please take care of his registration and his salary should be equivalent to the deputy chief of the security departnt. Sun is special case because he only works for , so he won’t be often here. But you should still arrange an office space for him." Tang Qing said after sitting down.
"I understand." Yang Kai nodded, as for what Sun Chao does or how he ca to work here, he was not concerned in the least.
