"How’s your dad’s company doing?" Tang Qing changed the topic.
"It’s going pretty well. Everything’s on track. The few buildings under construction are already three stories high. Plus, over forty percent of the properties are sold, and I believe they’ll all be sold out in another month or so." Wang Yan responded while stroking her hair and laughing.
"That’s great. Your uncle’s money is as good as made." Tang Qing chuckled. "Sure, we can sign a contract with you once hers expires. Aren’t you planning to beco a celebrity? I can sponsor your rise to stardom this year or the next." Tang Qing laughed. His logic was simple - sponsor Wang Yan’s rise to fa, and then replace the existing spokesperson with her. This way, no one inside Sheng Tang would have anything to say about it.
"But I like singing, not acting." Wang Yan corrected. She could negotiate with her dad about her singing career, but he would never allow her to act.
"Then, I’ll produce an album for you." Tang Qing replied. Actually, he preferred that Wang Yan did not go into acting either. It was a grueling and potentially dangerous endeavor. He had a taste of the exhausting life of an actor when he used to do extras at Hengdian. The hardship was astonishing, and the danger was not from hidden rules in the industry but from dangerous wirework and props used in filming. Even if soone guaranteed the safety, he would never want Wang Yan to try it.
"Rember, you said it." Wang Yan said, staring at Tang Qing seriously.
"Of course, it’s sothing I said. It stands." Tang Qing laughed.
