After completing everything.

Qi Heng has been staring at the excessively simple website interface, waiting to see if there will be any response from the other side. Even though he didn’t really believe it, he found so comfort in this small piece of hope or fluke, just like distributing flyers outside. Each flyer and post represented his hope. Flyers couldn’t be tracked, but he would check his posts many tis daily, hoping to find a clue.

Every penguin ssage notification would make his mood surge.

However, since both his flyers and posts contained words stating a heavy reward, many swindlers ca knocking, claiming they had found his child and asking him to transfer the money first. They even used so unknown child who cried out "dad" to stage a tear-jerking scenario, making him cursing angrily.

All of these people wanted money first and were unwilling to et face-to-face. Qi Heng, of course, would not fall for it and asserted that he wanted to see the child first then give the money. He even claid he would involve the police. As a result, the other party would just hang up the phone and retreat.

Over these few days, he has seen the ugly faces of these fraudsters, out of their mind for money, with complete disregard for the heartache and devastation of a heartbroken parent when their hope gets extinguished once again.

He hates swindlers.

It’s bad enough that these people deceive others for money, but those who use the anxiety of parents who have lost their child to defraud them of money are extrely despicable.

They should all be arrested.

To Qi Heng’s surprise...

The clue about his child had been marked green within ten minutes of being uploaded.

At noon the following day.

Xiang Province.

Ning Shan County.

Baihe Town Police Station.

Station Chief Wu Hao was looking at so training files sent by his colleagues in the county.

Suddenly.

An email titled ’Missing Files’ appeared in his inbox.

What is this?

Wu Hao was filled with confusion.

The sender’s na was ’Kind-hearted person’.

Due to his lack of security awareness and the habit of his profession, seeing the words ’Files’ and ’Missing’ led him to impulsively click it.

Inside, there were no files, only a simple introduction and an attached photo of a child.

"Qi Wei, male, born June 7, 2003, was taken away by soone at East Gate of Shanghai Stock Market on March 27, 2005, and ’adopted’ by Cheng Jie’s family in Group 5, Kongqiao Village, Baihe Town, Ning Shan County on April 13. The ’adoption fee’ is unknown. Below is Qi Wei’s photo. Please rescue him as soon as possible. Thank you!--A Kind-Hearted Person."

This description is quite straightforward.

The Command Room omitted all the discovery process and just sent the results, to avoid any suspicious thoughts. Or you could say, it was to hide their skills.

Actually, the discovery of Qi Heng’s child was not due to surveillance, but due to another child who was also kidnapped by the sa gang. Through surveillance, they found this county, and only then did they discover it through a group of photos accidentally taken by a photo studio owner. With the studio’s computer, all connection device information was uploaded to Little Two.

Just like the previous case with the Gan brothers, they knew how to avoid surveillance.

Therefore, it was quite a coincidence. If it were not for the old shop owner’s photos, Qi Heng’s child might still be missing.

With the arrival of the Information Age, there are no secrets in the world. Even if he can’t be found right now, as long as the child grows up a bit and appears on any surveillance or in photos stored on devices connected to the internet, they can instantly be found and located.

Briefly, Little Two’s modelling capability guarantees that as long as there’s a photo and the person’s skeletal structure, behavior, gaze, and facial shape don’t change drastically, basic growth analysis within ten years will not be a problem. As for the chances of misidentification? With Little Two’s analysis capability, the assistance of intelligence analysts and the supplent of behavioral logic, the probability of error is extrely low.

Wu Hao looked at the email and the photo above.

He believed it 60%.

Because he had seen Qi Heng’s request for help in various posts and penguin groups as well.

He quickly retrieved the chat history of that group.

The photo was correct.

The personal information was correct.

The address still needed to be confird.

Better to trust that it exists.

This was Wu Hao’s decision.

After printing out the information, he got up and left the office.

"Chief, are you going out?" An assistant saw Wu Hao quickly getting up.

"Yes, Xiao Miao, gather everyone who is available. We are going to Kongqiao Village," instructed Wu Hao.

"What for?"

"We’ll discuss that once we get there," responded Wu Hao, not willing to disclose any information without a conclusive result.

"Okay."

The assistant promptly went to summon the others.

Three minutes later, all the necessary personnel were assembled. Eight people, not including Wu Hao made nine, one ’luxurious’ Santana, so with motorcycles, and even bicycles.

Well, it couldn’t be helped. At that ti, conditions were harsh and anyone who owned a vehicle was considered rich.

Since the villagers were known for their robustness, they needed a large group to maintain control.

"Let’s go."

After saying this, Wu Hao led his team to Kongqiao Village.

The village head, who had received the notice, was already waiting at the village entrance.

Seeing the ’large’ convoy from afar, the village head thought sothing must have happened and beca a little nervous.

Wu Hao got out of the car. There were no broad roads in Kongqiao Village; they could only walk in on foot.

"Officer Wu, what’s happening with so many people here?" A resident asked cautiously.

Wu Hao shook his head and said, "Nothing much, take to Cheng Jie’s family in your village."

"Cheng Jie? What’s happened to them?" The village head asked perplexedly.

"Nothing in particular, just want to understand their situation. What do you know about Cheng Jie’s family?" Wu Hao walked ahead, and the village head hurriedly followed.

"I know them. There are five people in Cheng Jie’s family - Cheng Jie, his wife, and three daughters. Both of their parents have passed away. No, there are six now. I heard that he brought ho a son from his relatives a few days ago," the village head mulled and said.

"A son? A few days ago?" Wu Hao halted in surprise.

"Yes, it’s been about two weeks," the village head nodded.

It seems to be true then.

Maybe it’s a coincidence or soone from the gang rediscovered their conscience.

Wu Hao wondered.

What he didn’t know was that the gang wasn’t in their town, so they didn’t receive these reports. These reports were sent to the local police stations where the villains resided.

"Go on, lead the way up front, hurry." Wu Hao quickened his pace, the village head walked briskly too, sensing sothing amiss.

There’s sothing wrong with this child.

The other police officers were alerted too.

"It’s right here."

They arrived at a house that wasn’t too dilapidated, the village head pointed out.

"Knock, Knock, Knock..." The village head approached the main gate and knocked firmly.

"Who is it?" Cheng Jie, who was in the living room tidying up vegetable seeds, ca out.

But upon seeing the village head along with the police officer through the iron gate, Cheng Jie almost fell to his knees.

"Village head, what’s the matter?" Cheng Jie turned unnatural.

Looking at Cheng Jie’s reaction, the village head understood why Wu Hao had co, he shouted loudly, "Open the gate, Officer Wu from the town wants to ask you sothing."

"Officer... Officer Wu, I... I haven’t done anything illegal." Cheng Jie was scared by the ntion of the officer’s title.

"Open the door first and let us in." Wu Hao got a bit irritated when Cheng Jie still didn’t open the door.

Cheng Jie quickly stepped forward to open the door, "Alright, alright."

Inside the courtyard, Wu Hao looked at the sweaty Cheng Jie, feeling sowhat amused at this guilty conscience. If you haven’t done anything wrong, why would you be so nervous?

"Are you Cheng Jie?" Wu Hao asked with a frown.

"Yes, that’s ." Cheng Jie replied.

"I heard you brought a child ho two weeks ago?" Wu Hao asked directly.

"Officer Wu, this child, I brought him from my relative’s ho." Cheng Jie defended loudly as if he had his tail stepped on.

Excuses.

Wu Hao’s face turned colder.

"Bring the child here for to see." Wu Hao commanded.

"Th...The child is sleeping." Cheng Jie stamred.

"Soone, handcuff him." Wu Hao didn’t want to do a ’battle of wits and courage’ with Cheng Jie.

Imdiately two police officers handcuffed Cheng Jie.

They also figured out what had transpired. This kind of thing is prevalent in rural areas, but they deeply detest such people.

"Officer, I haven’t done anything bad." Cheng Jie, frightened out of his wits, cried out.

Suddenly Cheng Jie’s wife rushed out, "What are you doing to him?"

"Cheng Jie, I already know the origin of this child, so you can stop with the fetching from relative’s story. I don’t believe it. If I could walk in here and find your house, it ans I have evidence. You better confess honestly. Do you need to spell it out for you?" Wu Hao didn’t want to make the situation tense. He understood the village’s mindset of wanting a male descendant.

But understanding is just understanding.

Everyone is equal before the law.

Seeing this, Cheng Jie knew he couldn’t deceive anymore. He made a sad face and said, "I... I confess, this child is indeed not my relative’s. I bought him from people from another province. There was no other way, we, the Cheng family, can’t afford the fine. It’s better just to have a son. Whimper whimper whimper..." As he spoke, he began to cry. Partly from fear and partly from feeling guilty towards his ancestors.

"Alright, stop crying. Only you can cry, huh? Have you ever thought about what the child’s parents would be crying like? He is their only son. And what about you? You have three daughters. Put yourself in their shoes; every child is a piece of at fallen off one’s body. Okay, I won’t bother arguing with you; hand over the child. We will handle it leniently. If the child is hurt, I won’t let you off, and neither will the law." Wu Hao reproachfully educated.

Seeing that he would not end up in jail, Cheng Jie hurriedly said, "Yes, yes, yes, I’ll bring the child right away. We wouldn’t dare to harm this little ancestor, we treated him well, although he kept crying."

After saying that, Cheng Jie’s wife quickly went inside and brought Qi Wei out.

There were traces of tears at the corners of the little one’s eyes.

These past few days, he had been terrified as he was beginning to understand things.

Wu Hao recalled the image in the photo; they were identical.

"Qi Wei." Wu Hao stepped forward, and with a smile, he asked.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, Police Uncle, yes, I am." Qi Wei might not be able to distinguish between good and bad people, but he could recognize the police uniform. His father had often told him to look for a police uncle in case of any problem.

"Alright, uncle here will take you ho now. Cheng Jie, you co to the station as well. Confess honestly, write a letter of assurance, and apologize to Qi Wei’s parents. You won’t end up in jail," Wu Hao reassured Qi Wei.

"Understood, look after the children at ho. I’ll be back," Cheng Jie turned to his wife and said.

"Hmm."
