The entire exterior of the Seafood Restaurant is adorned with imitations of wooden tiles and plaster window sills, giving it an antique charm. The restaurant is surrounded by other restaurants and food stalls, not far from the Tianfu Hotel. The location is excellent. Li Jianguo has achieved his dream seven or eight years ahead of schedule.
Tang Qing followed Zhang Jing into the restaurant.
At this ti, the waitstaff were busy with various tasks. So were cleaning, so were arranging potted plants, and so were pasting wallpaper with various seafood patterns. They were all very busy.
There was an assortnt of ’food’ swimming in each of the large tanks in the hall, looking extraordinarily lively under the sunshine.
At this ti, Li Jianguo was also in the hall, watching the waitstaff bustling about. He was seated and directing, correcting any discrepancies he noticed with fervor.
As he looked around, he saw Tang Qing and Zhang Jing, and his serious face imdiately turned into a happy one.
He felt that he hadn’t seen Tang Qing for a long ti. Recently, Tang Qing has been spending a lot of ti at Sky Eye, and he hasn’t visited Sky Eye very often. He couldn’t help but smile wryly. He left such a huge enterprise to grow on its own, without a worry.
Li Jianguo quickly walked over to them.
"Boss Tang, you’re here," Li Jianguo laughed. At Sky Eye, people usually referred to Tang Qing as Boss Tang, and he was used to it too.
Tang Qing shook his head and laughed, "Enough, Uncle Li, just call Little Tang. I prefer that na because calling Boss Tang feels a bit distant if we’re not in a eting." As they have known each other for two lifetis, he truly respects Li Jianguo.
Upon hearing this, Li Jianguo breathed a sigh of relief. Tang Qing was still the sa, humble as ever.
"Haha, that settles it then, I’ll call you Little Tang in private and Boss Tang in formal occasions. The restaurant is opening in a few days, wouldn’t you like to co and try?" Li Jianguo invited.
Tang Qing thought for a while and agreed.
He owns forty-nine percent of the shares. It wouldn’t make sense if he didn’t show up for the opening.
"Sure, reserve a box for . I’ll invite my family to co and eat. However, I’ll bring the food," Tang Qing said. With seafood from the training area, there wasn’t much allure to the seafood Li Jianguo offered.
Upon hearing this, Li Jianguo’s expression changed slightly. "Little Tang, you can rest assured that all our ingredients are fresh." He thought Tang Qing was warning him. After all, Seafood Restaurants often have tricks up their sleeves. The food you choose and the food served might not be the sa.
Tang Qing realized that Li Jianguo had misunderstood and hurriedly explained, "Uncle Li, you misunderstood. It’s a gift from a friend. We have soone at ho who doesn’t quite know how to cook the seafood, so I wanted to bring it here for your chefs to prepare. These things are rather expensive, and it would be a sha to spoil them."
What he brought ho was usually sothing simple like steaming or boiling, like shrimp and crabs. As for the other types of fish, they can be cooked in the traditional Chinese way. Thus, a lot of it was left, floating in the sea.
Upon hearing this, Li Jianguo’s expression relaxed. "That’s good. Bring it over on the day of the restaurant’s opening, or the day before. I’ll have soone prepare it especially for you. I hope you’ll be satisfied. I haven’t seen Police Chief Qin in a while, how is he doing?"
Li Jianguo started to talk about Qin Yugang. In just half a year, Qin Yugang’s official career had been thriving. He rose from an associate division level to a deputy bureau level, from the deputy chief to the deputy director, in just half a year. This speed of promotion has made many people who are still lingering at the full divisional level throughout their lives envious.
As the Public Security Bureau is a law enforcent departnt, Li Jianguo naturally needs to communicate with them. With Tang Qing’s investnt in the catering company, he feels relieved. Though the backing is not very significant, the future is filled with potential. Moreover, not to ntion Qin Yugang, just Tang Qing’s network of relationships in Qingyan City could be intimidating, even though he may not know about it.
With so much money, Li Jianguo wouldn’t believe that Tang Qing has no connections.
"My uncle is doing well, both at work and in terms of health," Tang Qing replied with a smile. The public security in the developnt zone has improved so much recently that it has surprised the city leaders. This place is a densely populated area in the city, with many factories and enterprises. The more people there are, the more cases there are.
In the past, there were often major theft cases, with five or six each month. But for so ti now, there hasn’t been a single case. The cri-solving rate has also surged, leaving only trivial matters to be handled. This has freed up so ti for the policen in the Developnt Zone.
Qin Yugang’s capabilities have also been unanimously approved by the city leaders.
Tang Qing plans to make further moves at the end of this year to push his uncle up another level. If it weren’t because his uncle had just been promoted to deputy bureau level not long ago, he would have already tried to push Qin Yugang up.
The process usually takes a few years for ordinary people to think about. Even being able to rise to the position of Executive Deputy Director within a few years is already a huge joy.
But who is Qin Yugang? He is his uncle.
To avoid attracting unnecessary attention and criticism, Tang Qing decided to push till the end of the year. There were still six months left. Once there were enough rits, he would give those at the top a nudge, put them at ease, and get them on board. Even Feng Hai could help with a single sentence.
At that ti, he would be promoted to a full division level first. If possible, he could be assigned to a county to serve as a county governor or sothing. There are many options for the future. Depending on his uncle’s wishes, it won’t be difficult for him to make arrangents.
"That’s good. Police Chief Qin is a good man," Li Jianguo exclaid.
"Indeed, I admire my uncle very much. Uncle Li, Jing will be working under you from now on. She may not be very familiar with the work, so please take care of her," Tang Qing said, changing the subject.
"Haha, that’s no problem. I’ve known Jing for a long ti now. She’s very diligent, and I’m confident that Sky Eye has trained her well. I’m not worried at all," Li Jianguo laughed. Zhang Jing is only Sky Eye’s supervisor. She isn’t in charge of any specific tasks so there shouldn’t be any problems. Even if there are, they wouldn’t be related to her. Since the company has dedicated finance personnel, even if there were to be any mistakes made, it wouldn’t have anything to do with Zhang Jing.
Considering Zhang Jing’s relationship with Tang Qing, he should be the one flattering her.
Tang Qing nodded, "That’s good. Uncle Li, it’s getting late. I should get going. I have to cook lunch for my uncle. I’ll bring the items over later. You’re opening the day after tomorrow, right? I’ll bring them over the night before then, and we can have a good drink together. How about that?" Tang Qing suggested.
Li Jianguo quickly nodded in agreent.
"No problem." He was delighted to have dinner with Tang Qing’s family, viewing it as a genuine recognition of him.
Tang Qing turned his head to Zhang Jing and said: "Sis Jing, I’m leaving first. Work hard, and if you don’t understand anything, ask your colleagues."
"Okay, I will work hard." Zhang Jing nodded fiercely.
Tang Qing had helped her so much, she couldn’t disappoint him. Now, everyone at Sky Eye Company knows that she was hired by Tang Qing, and she was his first employee. They all felt envy. This ’Power of the Dragon’ had changed Zhang Jing’s fate although her qualifications were far lower than theirs. Because of this relationship, everyone in the company treated her courteously.
Simply put, if Tang Qing becos sentintal one day, Zhang Jing might quickly beco their leader.
"Goodbye." Tang Qing waved and smiled as he got into the car.
Then, under the waving arms of the two, Tang Qing stepped on the gas and left the restaurant.
"I haven’t seen Little Tang since he took the National College Entrance Examination, I have no idea how long it’ll be until we see each other again." Li Jianguo sighed, rembering that his ’useless’ son was also about to leave ho soon. His heart ached at the thought of it, but children always have to leave ho eventually.
"Yeah...
...
Back at ho.
The ti was still early, just eleven o’clock. Tang Qing didn’t have anything else to do, so he started by steaming the green crabs, and also stead the big lobster. These two items could be just simply stead and then served with so condints or sauce, depending on personal preference.
While he was cooking, Tang Qing felt bored and returned to the room to paint.
As he was painting, he began to feel that it was becoming less challenging.
Now his sketching skills were almost perfected. With his advanced control and imagination, he felt that there was not much room for improvent. Since the beginning of the year, calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and sketching were like the ’little masters’ in his skills. But he wouldn’t dare brag that he’d reached the level of a real master unless he compared himself with one.
Putting down the pencil.
Tang Qing furrowed his brows.
It seed that he needed to find sothing new to learn.
But he was quite troubled about what to study next.
He had never considered studying oil or abstract painting. He didn’t plan to learn these things in this lifeti. There were so many traditional skills in China, why should he learn these Western forms, especially abstract painting? Such scribbles were seen as art. He could never understand how sothing that looked nothing like what it was supposed to represent could be terd art. It seed like it was all a con.
The kind of art that normal people couldn’t understand was seen as pseudoscience by Tang Qing.
Like singing, that is also a form of art. Can’t ordinary people recognize a good song? Of course they can, art doesn’t differentiate between borders. Good songs are just that – good songs. Good lyrics, good tunes, there’s nothing pretentious about them. These can all be accepted and liked by ordinary people.
No matter how much it is praised, it will not conceal it as pseudoscience if it ’ignores’ the intelligence of ordinary people.
As if ordinary people were easily fooled.
Don’t even think about it.
Go play sowhere else.
Okay.
Rant over.
Tang Qing has thought about what he should do next to kill ti.
It was carving.
Carving cos in many sorts, wood carving, stone carving, tal carving, walnut carving, ivory carving, etcetera. Tang Qing did not plan to learn everything. It was enough to learn one or two for leisure as well as to kill ti.
He should start with wood carving. Originally, he also wanted to learn jade carving, but as a newcor, he decided not to waste things. Once a piece of jade is ruined during carving, it becos useless. What a waste!
Okay.
He’ll go buy the tools in the afternoon.
