"You’re getting involved? Why?" Kun Thai frowned. The last security clean-up operation was successful, but it didn’t solve the core issue. He had been thinking about this for a while, but without getting rid of the two tumors, everything was just for show and everything would stay the sa.
"It’s simple; we don’t like them. Plus, they’ve provoked us multiple tis behind the scenes. With this operation, we want to defeat them once and for all," the Fighter explained.
"You want to be the only player in town?" Kun Thai questioned.
"No, we’re not interested in those two places. We just want their money this ti. As for their industries, let’s leave that to the new bosses," the Fighter said casually.
Kun Thai knit his eyebrows again: "New boss? Who?"
"Whoever, just wondering if Mayor Kun Thai has anyone in mind. We can arrange it," the Fighter said nonchalantly.
Kun Thai was taken aback.
He then broke into hearty laughter: "Good, very good, I got it. I will give the order imdiately."
Kun Thai imdiately understood.
This was an exchange of interests.
And the stakes were the industries of those two places, and the potential imprisonnt of the two bosses.
Kun Thai was satisfied with this result. Money didn’t interest him; his family wasn’t short on it. But he was very interested in power, and he liked the terms proposed by Fighter. It was a mutually beneficial deal, and the Fighter displayed a good sense of restraint; they didn’t take too much, nor aid to monopolize it all.

"Alright, happy cooperation, let’s keep it going. I hope for a secure Bangkok," Kun Thai extended his hand for a handshake.
"As you wish," the Fighter replied.
Then, the Fighter turned and walked away.
Watching the Fighter’s retreating back, Kun Thai sank into deep thought. This deal was already settled, and the fate of the criminals had been set in motion. The only question was how much he could benefit from it.

You must prioritize cri eradication and illegal contraband removal, or you should just resign. Understand?" the Chief said, staring at Deputy Chief Senku.
Senku grimaced and said:
"Chief, I can’t do anything about it. These heads are not like those from the West and South districts who follow rules. There, they forbid illegal transactions and violent fights over territories, maintaining harmony and pushing troublemakers to our side. All the illicit trade has co to my side. I’m quite desperate. Even if you kill , I can’t clean up these two places."
"Despair, my foot! Now, tourists are avoiding your areas and the economy is falling every day. Mayor Kun Thai is furious. There are no conditions in this matter—if you don’t want to handle it, I’ll replace you for this position," the Chief said coldly, not believing for a second that Senku wasn’t involved with those two bosses sohow.
"I...Chief, you should find soone else to do this job," said Senku, not caring about the Chief’s threats. He was afraid of death, especially for a thankless task like this. If he succeeded, which was impossible, he’d have to contend with violent criminals who knew where his family lived.
If he failed, his police career would be over. It would be better to pass on this task to soone else, even if it ant a demotion.
"You...you’re driving crazy. Any of you willing to take over there?" The chief turned to the other deputy chiefs.
Everyone else lowered their heads.
They all fell silent.
Senku actually looked at the chief smugly—this was what he called ’public opinion’.
Mad, now that place has simply beco the source of cri in Bangkok, no one wants to touch that bad luck.

"You, all of you, fine, do you have any suitable people to recomnd?" The Director was helpless. Soone has to do it, but he didn’t dare take on this operation himself.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, finally managing to toss this hot potato away.
The chance of this task getting accomplished would be a miracle.
They knew all too well the might of those two bosses.

A young man in his twenties was called into the director’s office.
"Good day, director." The young man saluted.
Standing tall, his face resolute, the director looked at his reliable subordinate with satisfaction. The young man in front of him had sided with him since cracking his first major case, he was one of his own people.
Even if this operation didn’t succeed, he could later escape so of the responsibility on the grounds of being young and promote him one level.
He didn’t believe it would succeed anyway.
This mission was rely to pull out a scapegoat, but it had to be persuasive. Otherwise, pulling out just anyone wouldn’t explain it well to Kun Thai.
