Not much further along.

The Mole arrived at a door marked with B-37, indicating the thirty-seventh prisoner in Block B. There was also a Block A, where the female prisoners were held, except there were far fewer of them - only in single digits - and the conditions there were a bit better than here.

"Mr. Mole, this is your room. If you need anything, press the red button by the door. The rules and regulations are written on the wall. Please abide by them." The Fighter opened the door and led the Mole inside.

Only then did the Mole notice the various rules and regulations written in English all over the wall.

For example, not to attack the guards, not to fight or cause trouble, not to waste food, etc., similar to the rules and regulations of a typical prison, except that here, there were no visiting hours, no recreation ti, no work to be done, and no need to wear handcuffs or leg cuffs.

If the Mole had looked closely, he would have noticed that the text-filled area on the wall was, in fact, a big display screen, with the background color of the text matching the wall color.

He estimated the room to be about twenty square ters.

Inside there was only a bed, a washroom separated by frosted glass, a small wardrobe, but most importantly, there was a bookshelf filled with various books, which surprised the Mole a bit, but he didn’t ask.

Better not to seem inexperienced.

As the door clicked shut.

The Fighter left.

The Mole ca back to his senses and found a place to put his personal belongings - towel, toothpaste and toothbrush, slippers, a change of clothes, etc. There were no utensils because they ate in the cafeteria.

After setting down his things.

The Mole started peering out the small window by the door. Across the room was another prison cell, but it was unoccupied, there were no ’seniors’ to ask for advice.

.cσ๓

As expected.

Shortly after.

He saw Flying Fish also limping towards a nearby room, wincing with every step. Seeing this, Mole instantly understood that, like himself, Flying Fish had recklessly challenged the prison system and experienced real despair.

The number on Flying Fish’s prisoner uniform was thirty-eight.

As he was passing by the door, the Mole and Flying Fish exchanged just a smile, and upon seeing the wry smile on Mole’s face, Flying Fish instantly understood what had happened, giving back a look of shared bitterness.

When the Fighter who brought in Flying Fish left.

Since noise was strictly prohibited in this area, both Mole and Flying Fish did not dare to communicate through the four-ter distance between their doors. Besides, it was night ti, and many had already gone to sleep. Given the likely temperant of the inmates in this place, it was safer to be cautious.

In the next two hours.

Mole saw his team mbers pass by one by one. Seeing the looks of disbelief on their faces, he didn’t know what they had gone through, but it must have been a psychological blow that they could not easily shake off.

To recover.

It might take a long ti.

Little did he know, those uncooperative hot heads had all been taught a lesson by the Fighters, experiencing first-hand what it’s like to deal with a master of psychology, as they could infer the truth without needing any confessions.

Every one of them looked terrified.

Checking the ti on the wall, it was almost dawn. Mole had no trace of sleepiness as he lay on his bed, worrying about his future. Fortunately, he had no family to worry about, which sohow helped to convince himself.

Although this reasoning was fucking ridiculous and bullshit.

It was clearly lancholy.

But it was an excuse, wasn’t it?

Dawn.

Six-thirty.

’ding ding ding ...’ Bell after bell rang out in the hive of the prison, signifying their half-hour breakfast ti. Tang Qing had actually wanted to make it musical, but he was afraid it wouldn’t wake these guys up.

So he just made it a bit piercing.

The lights out announcent beca a tune before bedti, "The Original Scenery of the Hotown" by Zong Cilang, chosen by Tang Qing himself. It was the first song that Qi Yan played on her ocarina at the Sheng Tang Group’s first annual eting, only the Mole hadn’t experienced it yet.

Under the piercing bells.

Who could sleep through this? They all got up.

Ten minutes later.

Got dressed.

Finished freshening up.

"Click."

All the doors opened inward simultaneously, controllable by remote. The Mole was reminded of the clock on the wall and the ti points in the rules -- it was alti.

Just as he stepped out the door.

"Mole."

The Mole saw Flying Fish to his right, greeting him. Further to the right, their subordinates were running over. Three girls were missing, one under him and two under Flying Fish. They knew the girls would be in Block A.

"Flying Fish, good morning." The Mole returned with a bitter smile.

His forr competitor was now his cellmate in this small-ti prison, tarnishing his reputation.

"What did... you say?" Flying Fish asked. Thinking about the big secret he had accidentally disclosed, he felt a bit uneasy and wanted to find soone to share the burden.

However, the Mole was unaware of Flying Fish’s thoughts, sighed and said: "I said everything that I should and should not have."

The two looked at each other, smiling bitterly.

They once were opponents, but now fellow prisoners. As for the outside world, they had no idea when they might see it again. Jailbreak? Was that another chance to taste despair? They assud that the surroundings of their prison must be heavily guarded, they also considered that perhaps the few inmates inside the prison were just a ruse to mislead them.

"Nut, are you guys okay? Did they torture you?" Mole asked skeptically as he looked at his two subordinates who seed a little out of it. They were walking fine, even if they had been defeated, they shouldn’t be like this.

As the team leader, he knew their psychological endurance well.

Flying Fish also turned his attention to his subordinates who looked off-color. Nut, coming to his senses, looked at his captain and mournfully asked, "Captain, didn’t they use that perverted skill on you?"

As he rembered it, it was like an enormous shadow obscuring the sky.

His body was unhurt.

But the ntal trauma was difficult to erase.

"What perverted skill? Fighting? Even if they beat you, you don’t need to be this downcast. This isn’t like you at all." Mole and Flying Fish stared at Nut with questions.

Nut saw that the other two were indeed clueless. They had rely gotten into a fight and he was a bit sullen. If he had known there were options, he also would have chosen to fight. A couple of skin injuries from a fight were nothing.

Unlike now, where seeing soone in that uniform would instinctively invoke fear.

Nut quickly explained the whole incident.

The more they listened,

The more surprised Mole and Flying Fish beca. They swallowed hard, looking at the few surrounding n with the sa expression, it seed that Nut was not lying. Among these people, there were psychology experts powerful enough to do this.

Especially when they heard that through facial expressions alone, they had cracked the password to his bank card, the looks on their faces were.

As if they had seen a ghost.

"You guys... are all like this?" Flying Fish stuttered as he looked at his two subordinates.

His two subordinates nodded in unison, their faces deathly pale.

After confirming,

Mole and Flying Fish were at a loss for words, it was too unbelievable. They felt sowhat lucky for their own experience. If they had been stripped naked like that, it would have been strange not to develop a ntal scar. No, they were already traumatized.

These people.

Were fucking terrifying.

"Are you new here? What are you doing at the entrance? Hurry up and eat, if you miss the ti, there won’t be any breakfast." At this point, a tall and thin man walked out of room 36, friendly looking, talking in English with a smile on his face.

Before they could answer, he continued, "What do you do?"

"We’re on a mission," Mole replied.

The man laughed nonchalantly, "Stop pretending. You guys are clearly experienced assassins, probably here to assassinate Ling. You’re seeking death. Let introduce myself, my na is Wu Mindan. Co on, let’s go eat."

"Okay."

They followed Wu Mindan to the cafeteria while glancing at the clear map on the wall, feeling like they were not in a prison but in a shopping mall, it felt utterly discordant.

"Nice to et you, Mr. Mindan. How long have you been here? Are there any other rules?" asked Mole.

Wu Mindan shook his head and laughed, "Not much, here, as long as you obey the rules on the wall, no one will bother you. Whatever you do, don’t break them, or you’ll end up in solitary confinent or dead. The most important rule here is: don’t lay a hand on any of the guards. They’re monsters."

"What? Monster?" Flying Fish didn’t quite catch up.

"You guys should’ve experienced their power, right?" Wu Mindan asked.

"Hmm."

Both n nodded simultaneously and so did the four subordinates behind them.

"You didn’t stand a chance against them, did you?" Wu Mindan continued.

"Yes,.. yes." They had to admit this fact.

Wu Mindan muttered, "That’s right, no one here can withstand their attacks. They’re so strong, like monsters, not human-like at all. So, whatever they say goes, don’t even think about fighting back. Just behave."

The others fell silent and thought deeply.

Silently following Wu Mindan.

Arriving at the cafeteria,

Mole was surprised to find that the food was all self-serve. They had to get their own food, nobody served it for them, and it looked pretty decent, not the coarse grain and wild vegetables they had imagined.

This decoration,

If not for the prison uniforms they all wore, they would have thought they had arrived at an upscale buffet restaurant.

"Co on, grab a tray. The food here is excellent, far exceeding expectations. It’s even better than what I had back in my country. To be honest, I don’t really want to leave. But rember, don’t waste food. Take what you can eat," said Wu Mindan, leading the way.

Along the way, Wu Mindan introduced his basic situation. Only then did Flying Fish and the others find out that he was a Burse, a high-ranking agent. But no matter how high-ranking, here, everyone was like a lamb, unable to show the slightest bit of arrogance.

"Why aren’t there many guards keeping an eye on us? Just one at the entrance. They aren’t worried we might start a fight?" Nut murmured.

Wu Mindan laughed, "Just one of them can defeat all of us. Moreover, this is a special prison, it doesn’t incarcerate violent criminals. We’re not violent criminals and naturally don’t like to fight. Most people here are Burse spies, and so are associated with Ling. There’s no tradition of fighting.

Have you noticed the books in each room? Many people who couldn’t read before have now learned quite a bit. I also feel very happy to have books to read every day. Especially those beautiful poems, over and over."

As he said this, there was a look of contentnt on Wu Mindan’s face. Being an agent really wasn’t fun.

Mole and the others quickly got it.

This was called psychological assimilation.

Looking at this odd prison, the assassins felt the future wouldn’t be too bad.

And thus, the strange day began.
