Command Room.

"Commander, the invader’s target has been confird, it’s Cui Han from the sixth group," Tang Yi, who had been turning his head to Tang Qing who was watching a movie, said. He couldn’t possibly have been staring at the interrogation for so long.

Tang Qing raised his head.

The next mont.

The projection screen displayed detailed information about Cui Han.

Cui Han.

Male, twenty-four years old, unmarried.

Graduating from the tallurgy Departnt of Hei Province Institute of Technology, he joined the research institute after graduation a year ago and worked in the general science departnt on the first floor. The rest were so of Cui Han’s records from childhood to adulthood, his parents, relatives, and other family information, which were very detailed.

Tang Qing didn’t imdiately send the ssage, he needed to co up with an explanation. Of course, he really didn’t need to explain, but if he didn’t, it wouldn’t be fun if people started gossiping.

"Tang Yi, simplify the expression data of Cui Han as much as possible before sending it over." Tang Qing thought for a bit before speaking. If everything was sent over, there were probably going to be 300,000 words, and it’s not just the word count that’s an issue, it’s the need not to completely reveal our full strength.

Seeing Cui Han’s information, Tang Qing felt heartbroken.

A bright future university student had thus embarked on the path of cri. At this ti, a university student was still very valuable. Although Cui Han’s motives were not known yet, one can predict that his future days would definitely be ones he regretfully longed for.

"Yes." Tang Yi responded.

Imdiately.

Tang Yi issued an order for a fighter to start contacting Beijing.

Beijing.

In an office.

Ye Kun, along with a bunch of leaders, stared eagerly at the rudintary ’dialogue box’, waiting for a response from the Command Room. Everyone’s faces were stern and nobody spoke, the office was as quiet as a tomb.

"Ding Dong..."

A unique notification sound rang out.

Eyeballs fixed on the sight of a file nad ’Target’ being sent over.

"Quick, open it and take a look." Ye Kun exclaid aloud.

Instantly.

An office worker opened the WORD-format file.

The first thing they were presented with was a photograph.

Upon seeing this photo, everyone had a sensation of sweat breaking out on their foreheads.

Seen in the photo was a line of ten people, one of them had a red circle drawn around their head, an arrow pointing to their head. Attached above was a caption that read --- ’This is the culprit’.

Everyone had a feeling of déjà vu like they’d been spoiled about a detective novel.

"Quick, look at what it says below." Ye Kun hurriedly instructed, looking at the progress bar, there was still a long list to go.

Soon.

After reading the contents.

Everyone’s mouths gaped open, feeling as though their worldviews were forcibly being put back in place.

This was an analysis of all the various micro-expressions Cui Han exhibited while he was speaking. The analysis that seed rough in the eyes of the Command Room, appeared to them to be incredibly professional. By the end of the content, they had the impression that this guy was indeed the hacker.

After swallowing his saliva, Ye Kun asked the director of the office next to him: "Director, do we arrest him?"

The Office Director thought for a mont before saying solemnly, "The analysis is very detailed, but let’s send it to the interrogation experts. If they find the reports to be accurate, arrest him for questioning imdiately."

"Yes."

Imdiately.

The report was sent to the experts who were on standby.

Without saying.

The experts, who were already accustod to such a style, initially thought it was fine. Upon further inspection and analysis, they felt even more certain. Micro-expression analysis was nothing new among countries, it was just that it was extrely difficult to implent.

Not only would one need specialized psychological knowledge but also abundant experience, and natural talent and creativity as well, to reach such ability.

Unfortunately, the number of people in Huaxia who possessed such ability did not exceed the number of fingers on both hands. Even then, they could only be effective when the target was confird; if it’s like finding a needle in a haystack, even they had to admit defeat.

Therefore, after replicate reporting upwards and giving out orders downwards, the command was to apprehend.

The Research Institute.

Kang Nan and the group leader waited anxiously.

"Beep Beep Beep..."

The special ringtone on the group leader’s waist rang out, he quickly moved aside to answer the call.

"Yes, yes, I understand, okay." The group leader responded repeatedly.

The call ended.

With a poker face and without hesitation, the group leader motioned, and a few group mbers quickly walked over.

"Group Leader, what’s up? Do we have new leads?" A team mber curiously asked. They didn’t believe that sothing would co out of the incident earlier, so the only possibility was new leads.

"We’re making an arrest. They say they’ve found the target in Beijing." The group leader spoke after a brief pause.

He felt as though his IQ had been run over by a steamroller multiple tis, it hurt and he thought he needed to ask about it when they got back, otherwise, he felt like his values couldn’t hold up.

A team mber asked in a surprised whisper, "What? Found him? With just those few questions? How could they tell?"

"I don’t know, they didn’t say up there, we’ll ask when we get back. Our main task now is to apprehend. The target is Cui Han from the sixth group. Be careful, we don’t want him to get desperate and threaten the hostages. Here’s my plan..." The group leader whispered his plan.

The team mbers nodded.

The team leader walked over to Kang Nan and said, "Director Kang, have them line up. I have an announcent to make."

"Alright," Kang Nan agreed.

Standing in front of the crowd, Kang Nan loudly announced, "Everyone listen up, line up. The team leader has sothing to say."

The perplexed crowd lined up again. Cui Han was unnoticeable amongst them. However, he wasn’t aware of any difference and felt quite relieved. After all, with the questions asked just now, it would be a miracle if they could pinpoint him.

Soon, everyone was lined up.

Or more accurately, they ford a semi-circle, as a straight line wasn’t possible.

The team leader stepped forward and coughed twice without particularly looking at Cui Han.

Cui Han, with his back to the building, beca uneasy. But he trusted that no flaws could have been exposed during the earlier questioning.

Moreover, he had no accomplices to rat him out.

"Well, this round of questioning is over," the team leader started, coughing twice in disappointnt. "I’m deeply saddened by the occurrence of such an incident and highly appreciate your contributions to the country. However, so malefactors always try to ruin the hard-won peace. I’m infuriated. Does the country owe them anything?"

Writing from the leader echoed with anger in the end, he was in charge of this sort of cases and had seen many similar ones. So individuals sold out the country’s heavily funded research findings for petty cash.

The reasons given were often diverse and perplexing, as if they were the victims.

But regardless of the reasons, it’s all sophistry, and it’s a betrayal.

Despite not all being researchers, the crowd profoundly despised such an act. Everyone was burning with righteous indignation.

Giving a sweeping look across the crowd, the team leader noted that Cui Han seed slightly off, as his eyes didn’t show any anger, but indifference. And his facial expression of grinding his teeth in anger seed a bit forced.

At that mont, the team leader was starting to believe his superiors.

He continued, "Alright, I won’t say much. I hope everyone will monitor each other in the future. Don’t be tempted by petty benefits and tread on the path of cri. Otherwise, the law won’t spare you. And now, I announce..."

Just as the word ’announce’ was spoken,

The two mbers behind him made their moves. In two steps, one per person, they grabbed Cui Han’s arms and pinned him to the ground. At that mont, Cui Han had thought he was safe and his face showed excitent and a sense of relief.

But then, he felt his arms being grabbed by others.

One thought popped into his mind.

"It’s over."

"... The operation is over," The team leader announced. To the stunned crowd, he gestured, "Don’t panic, everyone disperse. This man here is our pri suspect."

Upon hearing this,

The crowd swiftly retreated, looking at Cui Han, who laid on the ground with a deathly pale face. But Cui Han still loudly protested, "What are you doing? You’ve got the wrong guy. I didn’t do it."

"We’ll see about that," The team leader confidently said, looking at the terror on Cui Han’s face. If it weren’t Cui Han, there was no need to be afraid. After all, they carried out their work based on evidence.

"Take him away."

Once the team leader finished, Cui Han was hauled into the building by the two mbers.

The team leader walked over to a stunned Kang Nan and said, "Director Kang, give no more than another half an hour. I need to check if Cui Han has any accomplices. If not, we will lift the blockade."

"Alright, I understand," Kang Nan hurriedly nodded. He imdiately dispersed the crowd and told them to go back to their respective stations and wait.

Inside the conference room,

Cui Han was tied to a chair, surrounded by nearly a dozen pairs of eyes staring at him intently. He began to sweat profusely from his forehead.

"Cui Han, any last words?" the team leader asked coldly.

"I... you guys must have got the wrong person," Cui Han replied in a fluster.

"Do you think we’d arbitrarily catch you out of all these people? As though we were playing a ga of chance? Better confess honestly. Were you bought off by foreign forces? What did they promise you to make you steal this information?" The team leader interrogated sternly.

"I..."

Cui Han wasn’t a trained spy but an ordinary person. He didn’t have experience with on-the-spot stress and was instantly lost for words.

The team leader was slightly elated at his response.

It seed there was no escape; it must be Cui Han.

"Still refusing to confess? We already have quite a bit of evidence. Be it Director Kang’s office, you should be clear of that. Don’t bla for not giving you a chance to atone for your guilt," the team leader bellowed.

"I... I’ll talk," Cui Han was instantly subdued by the threats. As it seed that the others had completely confird his guilt, they wouldn’t have singled him out so publicly for arrest.

The team leader nudged one of the clueless team mbers, gesturing for him to snap out of it and start recording.

"Speak," the team leader ordered coldly.

"I confess. It’s like this... Last month, on the 16th, I went to a party organized by a friend. During the party, I t soone..." Cui Han started spilling the beans, telling the complete truth.

The story was cliché.

Those people really couldn’t co up with anything clever.

Other than money, there was lust, and then there was coercion. Cui Han fell for all three. High-spirited and full of youth, he was duped in a scam without gaining any benefits. In the end, he was promised a sum of 100,000 yuan and agreed to steal information from the research institute.

Originally, he intended to copy everything but guilt got the better of him, feeling like he had let down the researchers who had dedicated their lives to the work. So, he only copied part of it. Eventually, he returned the sa way he took, undetected by anyone.

He thought that his plan was flawless and that he would successfully evade capture.

But things sohow went south unexpectedly.

Having gathered the full confession,

The team leader was ecstatic. They also found the disc containing the stolen information among Cui Han’s personal belongings, providing concrete evidence for conviction. The case was ready to be closed. However, a sense of gloom hung over the overly excited team leader.

How did those experts manage to single out Cui Han from such a large crowd?
