She didn’t even know what she felt inside when she heard those words.

"Are you saying you were just on the phone with Mason Bennett?" she asked.

Oddly, Elliot found himself panicking at her extrely calm tone.

Even if Bella were angrily questioning, it would be better than this calmness with no emotional fluctuations.

"I, I..." Elliot swallowed nervously, stuttering for a long ti without saying anything.
