Song Yanling’s face had lost all color now. If her direct supervisor found out about this, she would just get a scolding, but this ti she had directly spoken to the leader, and she definitely would face trouble once she returned.
"Vice Mayor Li, saying this puts in harm’s way."

"Evidence? Does Wei Kaiyun count?"
This ti, Song Yanling remained silent. Her heart was filled with disgust for Wei Kaiyun now; this shaless man had tarnished her reputation outside. What would she do in the future?
Song Yanling stood before Li Yunqiao’s desk, head lowered.

She hurriedly left the compound and went to the post office to call the leader.

Song Yanling was now in shock. How could everything abandon her in such a short ti?
The other side directly hung up the phone.
Song Yanling stared at the receiver blankly, and it was the operator who took it from her.
She paid and then walked out of the post office in a daze.

His actions were very gentle. Jiang Xinyu felt sympathetic seeing him like this; they had been through so much together, she trusted Wei Kaiyun. The words earlier were to reinforce her thoughts and also to show her bottom line.
Seeing him so upset, she softened.
Wei Kaiyun received a warm response from his wife, setting aside all his worries.
The next day, the couple’s relationship was even better. They felt more solid with each other deep down.
Today both husband and wife participated in fieldwork, Li Yungui ca too; they still needed to plant soybeans today. Tomorrow they could use the tractor; then it would be all about planting corn.
The field was filled with elders, parents, and half-grown children; even so, no one was slacking off.
This had already beco the village ethos of Li Family Village. No one would sneak around during work.
In the afternoon, Wei Kaiyun let Jiushang try driving the tractor, but it still wouldn’t work; the soil was too sticky and large clumps ca out, which would be a problem once dry.
Even if they were anxious, tomorrow wasn’t possible.
"Then let’s plant more soybeans."
"Village Chief Li, my friend brought so soybeans from ho; co with and see if they can be used as seeds."
Li Yungui nodded imdiately upon hearing Jiang Xinyu’s words; the soybeans being planted now were provided by Jiang Xinyu.
The two went ho; Jiang Xinyu went to the storeroom, grabbing a handful of yellow soybeans.
"Village Chief Li, do these look suitable?"
"Absolutely, these seeds are fantastic, big and round.
Teacher Jiang, how much of these seeds do we have?"
"Around fifty or sixty pounds, we’ll move them all over."
"No need to move them, the road is too muddy, I’ll just carry them."
The two returned to the field. Rural people are like this, they love good crop seeds, so everyone was happy upon seeing these soybeans. Work efficiency increased and the won planting seeds did so even faster.
