The more they listened, the brighter their eyes beca. Neither of them had entered university through exams. They only had a junior high school education, so of course they were afraid of learning university-level knowledge.

But what Jiang Xinyu said was right. Now, their courses were not much related to foundational knowledge from before, so as long as they maintained a relaxed mindset, there should be no problem.

"Sisters, would you like to co to my place for dinner tonight? You can also stay at my house. I’ve already prepared several rooms."

"I won’t be going. I’m heading straight ho today," Zhang Baozhen said with a smile.

"I’ll stay at your place for a night while I wait for my husband. As for the grades, Xinyu, can you get them for ? I won’t be coming back."

"Sure, no problem, Sister Baozhen. I can get your grades too."

"That’s a good idea, saves another trip."

"Mm, leave your phone numbers. If there’s any important notification, I’ll call you."

On the afternoon of the 27th, after their exams, Jiang Xinyu and Zhang Qiuming went ho together.

Once ho, Bai Hongying quickly started a fire when she learned that Zhang Shuping would be staying. Although the winters here were quite cold, they were sowhat milder compared to the North.

In the evening, the three of them made dumplings with pork and cabbage. Zhang Shuping especially loved this kind of Northern food.

"Xinyu, your Shi Jing has beco even more beautiful."

Jiang Xinyu smiled and nodded, particularly because the child’s eyes were truly beautiful.

The child was already two months old. During the pregnancy, Jiang Xinyu ensured comprehensive nutritional supplents, so naturally, the child was healthier and stronger than others.

Lying in bed, unable to fall asleep, her mind was filled with thoughts of Wei Kaiyun, wondering how he might have changed.

Getting up in the middle of the night to feed the son, his appetite was growing bigger and bigger. She thought she’d need to eat more, otherwise in less than six months, he would eat more than she had.

Before lying down, she heard a knock on the door. The first thought in her mind was that Wei Kaiyun had arrived.

She quickly dressed and briskly walked to the yard, "Who is it?"

"It’s us."

Hearing Wei Kaiyun’s voice made Jiang Xinyu’s nose tingle with emotion.

She hurriedly ran over to open the gate. She vaguely saw two people outside.

At this ti, Zhang Shuping and Bai Hongying also ca out.

"Lizheng, is that you?"

"Xiao Ping, it’s ."

Wei Kaiyun stood there, dumbfounded, gazing at the girl in front of him, feeling as if his hands were trembling.

Both were invited inside.

Bai Hongying imdiately went to the kitchen to prepare a al. Just so reheating was needed since hearing soone was coming tomorrow had prompted Jiang Xinyu to have her cook more dinner the night before. Even if it wasn’t used, they could have it in the morning.

Sitting in the main room under the light, Wei Kaiyun gazed at her intently.

Zhang Shuping introduced Jiang Xinyu and her husband to Wei Kaiyun.

He was indeed an outstanding man, and the two looked perfectly matched standing together.

Suddenly, the child cried, and Jiang Xinyu rushed inside hurriedly.

Wei Kaiyun was bewildered, how could there be a baby crying? He had a guess in his heart but didn’t dare to believe it. He stared at Zhang Shuping, who just looked at him and smiled.

Excitedly, Wei Kaiyun stood up and, with unsteady steps, ran into the house.

The sight that greeted him as he entered, would beco a mory that flashed in front of him until the day he closed his eyes for good.

The girl’s slender back was slightly bent, and she was gently humming a tune.

Wei Kaiyun stood there in a daze. He felt as if he stood there for a long ti, but actually, it was less than a minute.

He took a step to the edge of the kang and in the next, he stepped directly onto it, carefully approaching his wife’s back until he finally saw the baby who was breastfeeding.

Tears began to flow down Wei Kaiyun’s face without warning.

What had this girl gone through for him?

Seeing the baby’s profile that looked exactly like his, Wei Kaiyun felt as if his heart would leap out.

His face pressed against his wife’s back, neither of them moved. When the baby finally finished feeding, Jiang Xinyu gently set him down.

She felt her back was wet. Her eyes were also red all along. Feeling wronged, grateful, she felt all sorts of emotions.

Wei Kaiyun hugged Jiang Xinyu tightly. "Wife, wife, wife."

Hearing Wei Kaiyun’s voice, Jiang Xinyu’s tears finally fell.

Wei Kaiyun’s face was buried in Jiang Xinyu’s neck, softly calling her.

At this mont, Bai Hongying called out from outside, saying that the al was ready.

"Let’s go eat, we’ll talk later."

Wei Kaiyun didn’t let go of Jiang Xinyu but picked her up and let her sit on his lap, tenderly kissing her forehead.

"Let’s go, eat and freshen up."

"Alright."

The two ca out, "Aunt Bai, please boil so more water. They both need to wash up."

The four sat at the table, two n eating while the two won watched them.

Wei Kaiyun kept watching Jiang Xinyu, swallowing hurriedly.

"Sis, let my brother-in-law bathe first. I have his change of clothes here, do you want to find them?"

"No need, I brought so."

Jiang Xinyu smiled and nodded, watching Zhang Shuping take Zhao Lizheng to the bathroom.

At this point, only the two of them were left in the main room. Wei Kaiyun put down his bowl and chopsticks.

"Wife."

"Hmm."

"Wife."

"Finished eating? Have more. You’re too thin, you’ve beco ugly."

"Wife."

Jiang Xinyu’s tears fell again. "Do you think our son is cute?"

Wei Kaiyun nodded vigorously, his eyes also reddening.

"Wife, you’ve suffered for ."

"Having him makes any hardship worth it."

In the bathroom, Zhang Shuping and Zhao Lizheng talked.

"Xiao Ping, in Wei Kaiyun’s file it says he’s unmarried."

"They already have a child, and their feelings are so deep, other things don’t matter."

"Yeah, we were able to co ahead of ti because I followed along with Wei Kaiyun."

"You wouldn’t know, just hearing Wei Kaiyun’s na made Jiang Xinyu cry in the post office."

"Still just a young girl, isn’t she?"

"Yes, she’s only nineteen this year."

"Wei Kaiyun is already thirty-one, the sa age as ."

"Alright, let’s not worry about this. Jiang Xinyu is definitely a girl worth helping."

"Wei Kaiyun’s character and conduct are without question."

"Lizheng, I checked. The train back ho is at five p.m. tomorrow afternoon. It’s perfect; you can have a good rest tomorrow."

Zhang Shuping ca out of the bathroom and helped Bai Hongying clean up the table.

Wei Kaiyun stood up and sincerely bowed to Zhang Shuping and Bai Hongying, "Thank you both for taking care of Xinyu and her child."

They both quickly avoided it, "No need to thank us. Xinyu and I are good friends."

"It’s my duty and work. I will definitely do my best."

"Still, thank you. We’ll need your help in the future." Wei Kaiyun said earnestly.

Both nodded; Jiang Xinyu was certainly soone worth treating sincerely.
