Jiang Xinyu decided never to discuss their daughter with Wei Kaiyun again. She turned and walked away, realizing their thoughts were out of sync, and nothing could be done.
"Wife, wife, I’m serious, we need to raise our daughter to be a lady."
Jiang Xinyu ignored him and let him go on with his nonsense.
The three of them returned ho soaked in sweat, and the little one pointed at his bath basin for Wei Kaiyun to see.
"Got it, got it, it’ll be ready soon."
Jiang Xinyu went to the bathroom herself, just rinsed off, and ca out wearing a loose dress she made.
"Wife, you can’t wear that in front of others, it really won’t do."
"What’s wrong with it? Isn’t it nice?" The dress reached her calves and was very loose.
"Your arms are exposed. We can save it for wearing at ho!"
Jiang Xinyu rolled her eyes, thinking he was being overly sensitive.
Wei Kaiyun realized Jiang Xinyu was not taking this matter seriously, and he was a little anxious. He started nagging following her.
Jiang Xinyu was really annoyed, "Get out, and co back in two minutes."
"What’s wrong?"
"I said get out." Jiang Xinyu gave him a look.
"Okay, okay."
He went out to see his son, who was playing happily with Bai Hongying watching over, which put him at ease.
When he lifted the door curtain and ca in, he couldn’t believe his eyes and spun around twice on the spot, "No, this won’t do." Finally, he saw the dress on the bed, grabbed it imdiately, and tried to put it over Jiang Xinyu’s head.
"Are you crazy? It’s such a hot day, and you want to wear two layers?"
"But can you even call that clothes?"
"Why not? This is how you stay comfortable in the sumr."
"Uncomfortable, uncomfortable," he said, putting down the dress he had picked up earlier, and lifting the one Jiang Xinyu was currently wearing, which was barely reaching her upper thighs, on top of a sports bra-like vest.
"What are you doing?"
"Change it, you can’t wear that. After you give birth to the second baby, you can dress like that for at night."
"Wife, we don’t lack fabric at ho, you don’t need to be frugal when making clothes next ti." While talking, Wei Kaiyun had already taken off that dress.
"Go away, I’m hot, and I’m not going out, I just want to wear this."
By now, Wei Kaiyun no longer cared about fighting with his wife; she would always turn off the lights, and this was the first ti he had seen this directly.
"Wife, I’m uncomfortable."
"Get out, look at my belly."
Wei Kaiyun left the room reluctantly, feeling quite aggrieved.
He hadn’t even reached the courtyard when he suddenly rembered he hadn’t made his wife change back; he turned and went back into the room.
He saw his wife lying on the bed wearing the big dress, finally satisfied, he went out to look at their son again.
Jiang Xinyu watched Wei Kaiyun leave and finally heaved a sigh of relief, really not wanting to argue with him anymore.
In the evening, it was much cooler, it rained all night, and finally Wei Kaiyun could hug his wife and son on either side, today neither of them disliked him.
The next day was still overcast, but Shi Jing didn’t care about that; he wanted to go out and play every day, but he couldn’t go this ti, so of course, he was upset.
Jiang Xinyu ignored both father and son, grabbing any mont to read, knowing she still had to stay here for more than a month.
"Wife, I’m taking our son out for a walk."
"Mm." Hurry up and leave, they were seriously disturbing her reading ti.
Let him indulge the child, eventually, he’ll have to deal with it.
Wei Kaiyun held his chubby son in one arm and an umbrella in the other. The father and son really left ho.
Jiang Xinyu pouted, she used to worry Wei Kaiyun would be too harsh on Shi Jing, but he turned out to be a real nurturing father, leaving her to play the role of the strict mother.
When they returned it was two hours later, Wei Kaiyun’s back was soaked, but the child wasn’t wet at all.
"Nurturing father, any thoughts?"
Wei Kaiyun just smiled beside her. At noon the little one had his egg custard again, savoring it sweetly.
The three of them took a nap on the bed in the afternoon. "Once we get back, let’s send them both to kindergarten."
"I’ll find soone; you’re working too hard. This ti you should transfer over, let’s all live together as a family of four."
"Wouldn’t that be improper? After all, I’m getting a salary for studying here, it doesn’t feel right to leave right after graduating."
"Then I’ll arrange to transfer your status to the provincial level, how about that?"
"Let’s discuss it later, I don’t feel comfortable with it."
"Wife, why are you reluctant to co over?" Wei Kaiyun asked seriously.
"I just don’t like unfamiliar places, I consider it my ho there, and don’t feel that way about other places."
"Wife, after so ti, it’ll feel better; you won’t keep us separated for long, will you?"
"Alright, how about you transfer back?"
Wei Kaiyun thought about it, "I’ll check when I get back, if it’s possible, then okay."
"Thank you for accommodating ." Jiang Xinyu felt touched that Wei Kaiyun was willing to make such sacrifices for her, considering the difference in status between the directors of the two factories.
"If it’s too difficult, I’ll transfer over."
"Alright, let’s talk about it when I get back."
In the afternoon, Wei Kaiyun took their son out again to play, giving Jiang Xinyu so quiet ti to read.
The rain lasted three days, and Jiang Xinyu was really feeling uncomfortable with the muggy atmosphere, always feeling sticky.
On the fourth day around noon, the weather cleared up, but Jiang Xinyu still didn’t go out; she hated stepping in mud.
The father and son were a constant pair going out to play, but she had no idea where they went.
"Wife, you have quite a few letters."
"Did you go to the school?"
"No, I ran into the gatekeeper on the way, he recognized and told you had letters. I went to pick them up."
Jiang Xinyu received the letters, saw one from Song Qingqing, one from She Xiaoyun, and two others she didn’t recognize the handwriting of.
Jiang Xinyu opened She Xiaoyun’s letter first, which was mostly greetings and ntioned that Lv Beiguang had gotten married, to his sister-in-law.
They finally ended up together. Who knows what Lv Beiguang was thinking about, wasting so many years only to end up the sa.
Song Qingqing’s letter was more explosive. Rumors had spread throughout the factory that Kong ngjie’s child was Zhao Zhongshuo’s.
That was truly unimaginable. Could Huang Hongwei accept that?
But how did such a thing get out? Wasn’t the child only two months old?
Sotis, gossip can be really harmful. Maybe the child just doesn’t look like Huang Hongwei, leading people to start baseless rumors.
Rumors can be deadly, and if sothing really happened, who would take responsibility?
Wei Kaiyun watched his wife shake her head holding the letters, "What’s wrong?"
