"Haha, Chairman Lu, thank you. I just returned from studying, can’t really say ’triumphantly’.

"Director Jiang, you’re back. This party branch secretary position should be yours."

"Chairman Lu, I’m listening to the arrangents from above."

After registering, Jiang Xinyu was surrounded by the older sisters, everyone talking at once asking about her recent years.

"Director Jiang, you seem well taken care of over there; you’ve beco so much prettier."

"Really? I look in the mirror every day and didn’t notice I beca prettier," Jiang Xinyu said happily.

When won gather, there’s no end to the conversation.

Jiang Xinyu stayed another fifteen minutes before having to leave, as it was work hours and staying too long wouldn’t be good, so she smiled and excused herself.

"Sister ng, Director Jiang is twenty-one, right? Wonder if she has a partner?"

"Let’s ask around at lunch? I have a nephew working in the coal mine, around the sa age," Sister A said with a smile.

"Oh, co on, Director Jiang will surely rise high in the future, don’t introduce her to ordinary workers," Sister B imdiately retorted.

"Exactly, soone like Director Jiang needs a special kind of partner."

Everyone chattered around about Jiang Xinyu, though in their hearts they were wondering if any family mber could possibly marry such a capable woman.

Lu Changchun smiled on the side; he could sense Qian Jun’s fondness towards Jiang Xinyu. Though a bit older, he was the factory director managing so many people.

His family also had suitable young n, but he didn’t consider setting them up with Director Jiang.

Even if Mr. Qian wasn’t suitable, Jiang Xinyu wouldn’t just choose anyone casually.

Everyone at work knew Director Jiang had returned.

Jiang Xinyu was a notable figure at the textile factory, young, with a high starting point and courage, having done great things for the factory, and she also got into university by herself.

Kong ngjie froze upon hearing Jiang Xinyu was back. Over the years, she’d beco much calr, and her jealousy towards Jiang Xinyu had faded a lot. Although she still envied her, she didn’t feel as unbalanced as before.

"Mr. Kong, you and Director Jiang are from the sa village, right?"

Kong ngjie suddenly moved; her ti at the factory wasn’t going well, and her issues were being brought back up.

Perhaps Jiang Xinyu’s return could improve her current difficult situation.

"Yes, we are from the sa village."

Those who cared about her knew their relationship wasn’t good. However, they all sowhat restrained themselves.

Jiang Xinyu returned to the office around ten, sat down, and had a cup of water; she was feeling really thirsty.

"Director Jiang doesn’t co to see , so I had to co myself."

"Vice Factory Director Yao, I just didn’t have ti, please sit down."

"Haha, just kidding."

"Haha, I know. Vice Factory Director Yao, how have you been these years? Is your wife here?"

Yao Shimin shook his head, "No, she didn’t want to co."

Jiang Xinyu just smiled, unable to respond to that, so she swiftly changed the subject.

"I brought you a gift, one you’ll definitely like."

"What?"

"I’ll bring it to you tomorrow. It’s enalware, you’ll love it when you see it."

"A gift, that’s great. Director Jiang, I’ve applied to transfer back to my hotown."

Is it for the family? Indeed. Being apart like this is problematic for couples.

"Vice Factory Director Yao, you’re a technical talent; they must not want to let you leave here, right?"

"Exactly, I’ve submitted an application half a year ago, but there’s no news."

"Can’t your wife co here? Life here is pretty good too."

"Actually, it’s sowhat better than back ho. But she’s unwilling, and bringing it up just causes argunts. It’s impractical to keep going like this. We’ve been married almost three years and still have no children, that’s tough.

Well, what’s the use of telling you all this? I’m relieved to see you’re doing well."

Jiang Xinyu saw Yao Shimin off, and then the two heads responsible for logistics and the security departnt ca over. For the past four years, they’ve been under Qian Jun’s managent. They just had a eting and were inford that Director Jiang had returned and that they’ll revert to reporting to Jiang Xinyu, so they ca to report.

"No rush; do things by the old rules. I’ll go to the county this afternoon, and you can report your work during tomorrow’s eting."

The two nodded and left. They had to prepare today.

Running around all morning, she’s a bit unused to it. Being lazy before, and now suddenly like this, feels a bit tiring.

She stared at the phone, finally picked up the handset, and dialed Wei Kaiyun.

Wei Kaiyun hadn’t left the office all morning, waiting for his wife’s call. He knew she’d be busy on her first day of work, so he didn’t dare disturb her.

The phone on the desk rang, and he quickly picked it up.

"Hello, Wei Kaiyun."

"It’s ."

"How are you? Able to adjust?"

He understood her well, "Alright, not much happening this morning. How about you?"

"Sa as usual, how are the kids?"

"They’re good. Master Shang is back, so with him there, I’m reassured."

"Yes, take good care of yourself."

"Got it, you too. This afternoon I’m going to the county to see County Magistrate Tao."

"Yes, it’s alright. Tao Juncheng is an upright person, no need to worry."

"Understood. I should hang up now," Jiang Xinyu said, without waiting for his response, she put the phone down. Hearing his voice, she missed him even more and wondered when their family could live together.

Wei Kaiyun held the buzzing phone for a mont before putting it down.

All he could think about was his wife, missing her terribly.

He wondered how she would handle the gossip.

There’s too many idle people in the world who don’t consider how their words might harm others.

Wei Kaiyun beca more restless, and at this mont Lu Weiqi ca in with so docunts.

"Secretary Lu, do you have cigarettes?"

"Director Wei, I don’t smoke, but I can buy a pack for you."

Wei Kaiyun shook his head frustratedly, "No need, I’ve quit smoking."

Lu Weiqi thought: You’ve quit smoking, but still ask? You must be thinking about Director Jiang and the two kids again.

"What’s up?"

"The National Day arrangents, the union sent over the worker welfare schedules."

Wei Kaiyun looked over it; the welfare applied for this ti was quite high.

"Afternoon eting, all directors and above will co to discuss this matter."

"Yes, I’ll arrange it.

Also, four dormitory buildings can be delivered by National Day. How should we arrange them this ti?"

"We’ll discuss it at the afternoon eting." The model worker welfare housing was distributed during Labor Day. This ti, let’s hear everyone’s opinions.

"Understood. Additionally, the Managent Bureau sent a letter requesting our textile factory to donate to the school."
