Jiang Xinyu furrowed her brow, pondering these few incoherent words, but her heart felt much more at ease. As long as one is alive, that’s enough.

Since she received good news early in the morning, Jiang Xinyu was in a good mood today.

After breakfast, she took a few loaves of bread and went to the Managent Bureau.

When Zhu Peishan saw Jiang Xinyu had co again, he felt quite uneasy.

This girl is truly wonderful. She is very grateful and even though she has no abilities, she can set everything aside to co here. This is an attitude that speaks volus.

From this, one can see her character. Soone like this is definitely worth getting to know.

Jiang Xinyu placed the cloth bag on the table. "Director Zhu, this is the bread I made that I learned in Russia. Please try it."

"Xinyu, aren’t you planning to visit the children? Hurry and leave; you should not get involved in Wei Kaiyun’s matters."

Jiang Xinyu shook her head. "Director Zhu, how could I do that? Without Director Wei, I am nothing. Though I have no connections or abilities, I have decided to wait here. Who knows, maybe there will be a place where I am needed."

"Why are you so stubborn? These things are no good for you."

Jiang Xinyu smiled, "What’s so bad about it? I am currently unemployed." aning, what do I have to be afraid of?

Zhu Peishan shook his head. "Since you are so persistent, then just wait here. So things are beyond our control."

Jiang Xinyu nodded. "Understood, I’ll just wait here."

After leaving the Managent Bureau, she went straight ho, mainly having no particular thoughts. She could only wait, but was afraid that she might lose control of her emotions. She could go crazy at ho if she needed to.

After Jiang Xinyu left, Zhu Peishan wanted to work, planning to move the cloth bag aside when a rich, sweet aroma wafted over.

He took out a paper package, opened it, and saw that it looked pretty good. Taking a bite, his mouth was filled with sweetness.

Ah! Zhu Peishan sighed. At this point, he’s like a clay Bodhisattva crossing the river, unable to protect himself. He really doesn’t have the ability.

He suddenly thought, if sothing happened to him, would anyone go to such lengths for him? The answer was, apart from his family, there would be no one else.

Two more days passed this way, and now Wei Kaiyun no longer even had the strength to speak.

"Since he’s in this state, let’s send him away. He won’t be able to speak anymore."

"Boss, send him to the Northeast. The conditions there are laid out. It all depends on his luck."

"Alright, make the arrangents."

"Boss, let’s take him to the hospital for an IV first. Once he reaches the Northeast, it won’t be our concern anymore."

"Go ahead. I’m confident in your handling."

Over here, Wei Kaiyun was taken to the hospital, where the doctor saw him already unconscious from fever and shook his head while setting up the IV.

Today, Jiang Xinyu felt her eyelids twitching non-stop. She was anxious to the point she couldn’t sit still at ho and couldn’t calm down.

When she heard a knock on the door, it felt like a shock. She took a mont to compose herself before going to the door.

"Who is it?"

There was no response, but she saw a piece of paper in the door crack. She rushed over; this was now her only way to get news about Wei Kaiyun.

Seeing the note, she felt a darkness before her eyes. Imdiately, she went back into the house to put on her coat, grabbed her toiletries, and biked to the hospital.

Throughout the ride, she pedaled fiercely, eager to arrive imdiately.

Once at the hospital, she dashed straight for the ward.

But when she got there, she saw two people guarding the door, realizing this was a hurdle for her. She didn’t know how to get through.

She hesitated for a mont, then approached directly. "Hello, comrade, is Director Wei inside?"

"Who are you?"

"I used to work under Director Wei. I heard the news and ca to see him."

"Who inford you?"

"A stranger," Jiang Xinyu said, pulling out two banknotes from her pocket and handing them to the person who asked.

"Comrade, can I go in and see Director Wei? He’s my benefactor."

The two exchanged a glance. They knew everything but were just ordered to watch and not let Wei Kaiyun run away. There was no order against allowing visitors.

Seeing the money in their hands, they nodded. "You can go in, and you might even help take care of him."

They knew that the higher-ups had instructed not to let Wei Kaiyun die; having soone to look after him was the best. Most importantly, he would be sent away in a few days, so as long as he didn’t run, it was fine.

Jiang Xinyu nodded vigorously, thanked them profusely, and took out two loaves of bread from her bag to give to them.

"Comrades, I made these myself. Rest assured, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with them." After speaking, she unwrapped one and took a big bite.

Then she took another and handed it to the two, smiling and nodding as she went into the ward.

The scent of sweetness reached the two guards earlier, and they didn’t think much of it. After Jiang Xinyu entered, they unwrapped and ate as well, having been busy and hungry since early morning.

Jiang Xinyu entered and saw Wei Kaiyun on the bed. Tears imdiately fell; she rushed to the bedside, looking at the severely emaciated Wei Kaiyun, she reached out her trembling hand to touch his sunken face.

Now he had a fever, which was absolutely unacceptable. She quickly set down her bag, took out a basin, filled it with hot water, and applied a hot towel on his forehead.

She then hurried out, "Comrades, I need to ask the doctor about Director Wei’s condition."

The two n had lost their earlier fierce deanor and nodded in agreent.

Jiang Xinyu found the doctor and learned that Wei Kaiyun was severely dehydrated and they were giving him glucose. His leg was broken, and he had many wounds on his body.

"Doctor, can you help clean him up? I’m afraid of infection. Also, when can he be dicated?"

"The hospital’s penicillin has run out; it will take three days to restock."

Hearing this, Jiang Xinyu felt slightly relieved, knowing she had cephalosporin in her space. Since he can take it now, that’s good.

"Doctor, when will the fever dicine be administered?"

"Once he wakes up, give him so analgin."

"Doctor, what about the dication for his leg?"

"A splint has been applied. It will take ti to heal; once he wakes, provide more nutrition. Go back and clean him; it will help him recover faster."

Jiang Xinyu thanked the doctor and then went to the nurse to borrow a thermos and got so water before returning to the ward.

In a hurry, she poured a cup of water, added so salt and sugar to it.

Then she leaned on Wei Kaiyun’s side, whispering in his ear, "I’m here, I’m here. Wake up, wake up so you can take the dicine and recover quickly."

But the person on the bed had no reaction at all.

Feeling the water was not hot anymore, she took out a spoon to feed him.
