Li Yunqiao had thought about this issue. Lu Fengzhen is still young, and he was already forty-five. If there were to be a child, it should be born. Although he already had four children, none were born to Lu Fengzhen.

Even if he had confidence in his children, and in the future, they wouldn’t ignore Lu Fengzhen, but if she wanted her own child, he agreed.

"Mom, if there’s a child, of course, I’ll keep it. I can still afford to raise them."

Aunt Wang was really relieved now. "Yunqiao, I’m not trying to stir up trouble, but I just feel that a child of one’s own is always closer."

"Mom, I understand what you an. It’s just that I’m not young anymore, and I don’t know if I can still have children. If it turns out we can, we’ll definitely raise them."

"Okay, although as the woman’s family, I know you haven’t made any promises, yet you want my daughter, but the fact that you could co over today to propose is enough. But if you do not treat Fengzhen well, I absolutely won’t agree to it. Our family is big, and we’re not afraid of how capable you might be. Those with shoes are afraid of the shoeless, Yunqiao, don’t you agree?"

"Mom, don’t worry, nothing like that will happen. Even if, co what may, the children don’t treat Fengzhen well, then there’s still , right?

Besides, I have absolute confidence in the children I’ve raised. After I got divorced, they even told , hoping I would find soone again, but I just didn’t have the heart for it."

"Yunqiao, mom wants to ask you sothing. If you feel comfortable, tell . If not, that’s okay."

"Hehe, mom, you want to ask why I got divorced, right?"

"Yes."

"There’s nothing I can’t say about it. Actually, we didn’t have feelings from the start in our marriage. The rest, I can’t say, and that’s why my child, Hong Lin, is even younger than my second brother’s children.

Ever since we got married, all her salary and checks went to her family. After all these years, I accepted it, but her family had designs on my daughter; they even wanted to involve themselves in my son’s job. That’s sothing I couldn’t tolerate. In the end, we got divorced, and she’s been remarried for a while now."

Aunt Wang nodded. "Yunqiao, don’t overthink it. I’m asking because I’m worried there might be entanglents after your divorce, and then Fengzhen would be too pitiful."

"Mom, rest assured, nothing like that will happen."

Aunt Wang asked, and Li Yunqiao answered. The two chatted happily.

Lu Fengzhen ca out of the house and heard the voices of her sisters-in-law in the kitchen. She walked over there because she didn’t want to be alone now or return to that ho.

"Fengzhen, why have you co over? Co inside, warm yourself up," Eldest Sister-in-law Wang spoke.

"Yes, we don’t need you here," the second sister-in-law said.

"Fengzhen, how co you’re back? And the person who ca, is that Vice Mayor Li?" the third sister-in-law asked.

"He ca to propose."

"Propose?" The five sisters-in-law exclaid in unison.

"Yes, we registered for a marriage certificate on Monday, and he’s here to propose today."

"Fengzhen, how is he?"

"He’s okay." She didn’t really know if he was good or not. For now, she was just being led by the nose, listening to whatever he said.

She had thought about not marrying, but that way, she would be at a huge disadvantage. Marrying was marrying; Li Yunqiao was pretty good too.

"Fengzhen, will you be living in the city in the future?" the fourth sister-in-law asked enviously.

"Yes."

"Fengzhen, are their children easy to get along with?" Eldest Sister-in-law was worried and asked.

Lu Fengzhen thought about the three children of Li Yungui’s family and the young couple. They seed easy to get along with, but this sort of thing was uncertain, especially since there hadn’t been much interaction yet.

"When I saw them, as kids, they lived in Village Chief Li’s house in Li Family Village. They seed well-behaved then. The young couple is okay too, easy to get along with.

But I just don’t know what it’ll be like when I marry their dad and beco their stepmother?"

The sisters-in-law stopped talking. Who could say?

Eldest Sister-in-law Wang thought that since they had talked for so long, it must be settled. This was to entertain the new son-in-law, hurriedly asking Old Five’s wife to check if there was tofu at Third Aunt’s house, while she herself headed to the storeroom to find a preserved piece of at to stew with noodles, which should make a good dish, right?

"Old Fourth’s wife, go find your husband and the others, ask them to co back quickly."

The kind of errand that Old Fourth’s wife loved to do the most.

With that said, she agreed and ran out. Lu Fengzhen took off her coat and sat down to feed the fire.

"Fengzhen, if you’re wronged, just co back and say so."

"I know, Second Sister-in-law." The feeling inside was moving; ho was the best.

"Fengzhen, if you don’t want to go back to that ho, go out for a walk, there’s no need for you here."

"Okay, I’m going back to pack up my clothes and take everything with this ti."

Putting on a headscarf and leaving ho, she thought it best to go to Little Ju’s house and tell her. As for her in-laws, let her big brother go over and give them the key. After that, there should be nothing more to do with them.

"Fengzhen, why are you back?"

"Brought the man back to propose."

"What?" Little Ju exclaid in surprise.

"Li Yunqiao ca to propose. We’re getting married on Monday."

"What happened? Did sothing happen?"

Lu Fengzhen didn’t ntion that she was already Li Yunqiao’s partner, fearing it might affect him.

"He said he wanted to marry , and I thought he was pretty good, so I decided to be together."

"But isn’t he a bit older?"

"He’s okay."

"Fengzhen, now that you’re married, you must try to have a child soon. A child of one’s own is best."

This was also sothing Lu Fengzhen was embarrassed about. If she really could give birth, the child would be younger than her nephew, making her feel awkward every ti she thought about it. But she was too shy to say that out loud.

"Little Ju, I have to leave tomorrow. I’m going back to pack my things and return the house to them."

"Fengzhen, listen to , let your big brother handle the house return. It’s better to avoid trouble."

"Okay, I know, I’m leaving, I’ll co back and visit when I have ti."

Refusing Little Ju’s offer to see her off, she went ho alone.

Standing in the yard, she glanced around at the place she had lived in for ten years, feeling a faint reluctance. After this, it had nothing to do with her anymore.

She heard noises outside; it turned out Third Brother, Fourth Brother, and Fifth Brother had arrived.

"You’re just in ti, pack up everything I added and take it back ho."

"Fengzhen, are you sure? He’s about Brother’s age." Brother Wang asked sullenly.

"Don’t worry, I’ve made up my mind. Co on, let’s get packing; this iron pot can stay, but take everything else, including the furniture, back ho."

Third Brother Wang’s mind worked the fastest. "Pack everything up, and we can move it at night. Once you’ve left, we won’t fear any trouble from their family."

"Okay, I’ll give you the key later, and you can return it to their family."
