After terminating the contract, Tong Yan’s leg healed. At this ti, the roles in the play were finally decided. Tong Yan would play Jiang Caiju, Jiang Yu would play Li Chunjuan, and Jiang Shishi would play Wang Xiaocui. The three of them would play sisters in "Young and Wild".
Jiang Yu and Jiang Shishi were both new generation actors. Jiang Yu had delicate features and big, watery eyes that seed to speak. Jiang Shishi, though young, exuded a youthful and charming aura. Both had acted in several idol dramas before and had a certain fan base. Their agency wanted them to transition, which is why they took on this drama.
Tong Yan had never heard of them in her past life nor did she understand their personalities. Hopefully, they could get along, since they were to play sisters and it wouldn’t do to not get along.
When Yin Weiyi, that loafer, heard that she was going to film a drama, it ant she would be ho alone. She left with her bag, saying she was off to pursue a handso guy she had her eye on recently.
Tong Yan was left speechless. What happened to her supposed affection for her brother, those shy expressions? This fickle woman!
As filming approached, Tong Yan packed up her things and headed to the crew. The filming location for "Young and Wild" was at a film base in the outskirts of Y City. However, she was lucky to be traveling with Yang Wen.
Yang Wen was not silly in front of others, maintaining a cool deanor. But perhaps due to revealing his true nature earlier, he wasn’t like that in front of Tong Yan, often chatting with her.
They drove there together, though Tong Yan suggested flying, as it would take less than two hours. Yang Wen insisted on driving, claiming certain equipnt was too important and might be damaged on a flight. Later, after getting to know him, she learned he was actually afraid of flying...
After driving for three days, they finally arrived. Thankfully, they had a camper van, which had everything they needed, making the trip quite comfortable. A day later, the crew held a ceremony to start the filming. That was when Tong Yan t the other two leads, Jiang Yu and Jiang Shishi. Since they weren’t familiar with each other, they rely exchanged nods.
Two days later, filming officially began.
The drama is set during the warti. The first scene to be shot was of the three little girls at six years old, playing in the fields. This is the most crucial scene, as they are to speak of their promise. The little girls were played by child stars, who were very adorable. The scene was beautiful, with lush green fields and unidentified little yellow flowers along the dirt path.
Tong Yan, Jiang Yu, and Jiang Shishi watched from the side, occasionally morizing lines.
Since her rebirth, Tong Yan promised herself never to wrong herself again. She will eat whatever she wants and do whatever she desires.
So she brought a lot of snacks, like beef jerky and chocolate, and even brought her homade desserts!
She sat eating and morizing her lines. Jiang Yu glanced over several tis, unable to resist and finally ca over, shyly asking, "Sister Yanyan, those cookies look so delicious." Her eyes staring eagerly as if almost drooling while speaking.
Tong Yan smiled and generously passed her the cookies, "I made them myself, have a taste."
Jiang Yu happily took a bite, her eyes squinting with joy, "So good, you’re really talented."
It seed that Jiang Yu was easy to get along with. Looking at Jiang Shishi in the distance, she stood up to offer her so cookies, "Want to try so?"
Jiang Shishi declined, "Thank you, I’m on a diet."
Tong Yan didn’t mind and distributed the cookies to everyone present. Luckily she brought plenty. She personally gave several to Yang Wen, who praised her, eventually snatching all the remaining cookies.
Tong Yan was embarrassed...
Jiang Shishi saw this scene and softly snorted, whispering to her manager beside her, "I was wondering how soone like her could act, turns out she’s quite familiar with the director."
Her manager, Sister Chen, glanced at Tong Yan, "I heard she was selected by Director Yang." She evidently had genuine talent and skill.
