At the bedroom door, Lin Liyin looked incredulously at her niece, stark naked, grabbing her husband’s shorts. She hadn’t lost her senses to the point where she couldn’t see her husband resisting with all his might.
How could the little girl she raised herself beco so repulsive?
With a loud bang, Lin Liyin opened the door, and Li Jianjun took advantage of Lin Xuelin being stunned to grab his pants and quickly run towards his wife.
Outside the door, with lingering fear, Li Jianjun shouted angrily at his wife, "Look what you’ve done! Is this even human? I told you not to agree to her coming over, but you insisted. I almost died at her hands!"
Lin Liyin looked at her husband in such a state and suddenly felt like laughing. She realized she was still lucky; at least her husband was a good man. She couldn’t imagine what she would do if her lover hadn’t rejected advances.
She silently went into the bedroom, took a clean set of clothes from the wardrobe, and looked at Lin Xuelin, saying, "From now on, we have nothing to do with each other. Get out!"
She finished speaking, turned around, and walked toward the door.
"Fine, we won’t have anything to do with each other. But your husband has done everything, you need to help transfer back. Otherwise, I’ll report him for harassnt."
Lin Liyin looked at her husband, who was flushed with anger, waved her hand at him, turned back to Lin Xuelin, and said, "Go ahead and report if you dare, you won’t unsettle . I know my own husband. Are you leaving on your own, or shall I call your parents over?"
Lin Xuelin saw her leaving and squatted, crying and shouting, "Why do you all get to live well, and I have to live worse than pigs and dogs? Why do you all have good n protecting you, and I have to rely on myself? Why? Why?"
Lin Liyin paused her steps, closed the door without looking back, handed clothes and pants to Li Jianjun, and silently shed tears while looking up at the sky in the yard.
Li Jianjun took the clothes to the washroom and rinsed them several tis with cold water before changing into them. After thinking for a mont, he kicked the shorts he changed out of into the toilet.
Sitting on a stool, he lit a cigarette. Thinking about the incident made him nervous and disgusted. He always disliked this girl, only thinking her thods were a bit harsh and her mannerisms overly sensitive. Never did he think she would pull such a stunt. It seems the transformation in the Northwest was utterly unsuccessful.
He silently sympathized with his brother-in-law. Having a daughter like this was like hitting bad luck for eight lifetis. With such depraved character, there’s more trouble to co.
After finishing a cigarette, Li Jianjun tidied his uniform, put on his hat, went out to the yard, and sighed at his silently weeping wife, Lin Liyin.
"I still need to explain to you. Nothing happened between her and , don’t listen to her nonsense. Just look at her, I wouldn’t even take a liking to that. Once she leaves, clean everything that needs cleaning, it’s disgusting. I have to stay at my unit for a while, I really don’t dare stay at ho; if anything happens, have soone get ."
He finished, seeing no response from her. Li Jianjun didn’t bother explaining further, even saying it once more felt like insulting himself. He quickly sped up his pace and left.
Lin Liyin watched him leave, wiped her tears, returned to the small room, packed Lin Xuelin’s belongings into a suitcase, and took it to the living room.
Lin Xuelin cried for a while, realizing she couldn’t stay here, but where would she go next? Thinking of this, she bit her arm hard, vowing that those who wronged her would not et a good end.
She picked up clothes from the ground and put them on. When she turned around, her face full of hatred instantly turned to sorrow. She rushed a few steps to Lin Liyin and knelt in front of her with a thud.
"Auntie, I was just possessed for a mont, please forgive . If even you don’t care about , then there’s really no one to love . Initially, I was just ssing around."
Lin Liyin shook her head in disappointnt, "Don’t say anymore. I can differentiate between ssing around and seriousness. Did you consider who he was when you were playing? That’s your uncle, your cousin’s father, your elder. Xiao Lin, when a person loses sha, what’s the difference from being an animal? You should leave."
Lin Xuelin lowered her head, biting her lip, wishing she could tear the person in front of her apart. Since you are heartless, don’t bla for being ungrateful. Knowing that I have nowhere to go, you still want to leave.
So be it, let’s all suffer together.
Thinking of this, Lin Xuelin raised her head with tears rolling down, "Auntie, I know I did sothing shaless, and I will leave. But Auntie, you’ve watched grow up, what kind of person am I? If he hadn’t given any hints, how would I dare? I’m just desperate to return to the city."
Lin Liyin maintained a stern face, closing her eyes. She didn’t want to listen to the flawed lies.
"Auntie, I’m leaving, but you have to watch over Uncle. He’s not as good as he claims. I initially struggled, but I’m weak and just wanted to return to the city. Afterward, when I asked him to help transfer back quickly, he reneged, causing to chase after him and not let him leave.
But who expected he would turn around and say he almost died at my hands. n are all bastards, they deny everything once their pants are on. Auntie, I’m sorry, I’m leaving now."
Listening to her indistinct words, Lin Liyin opened her eyes and looked at her, suppressed her doubts, and said coldly, "Stop stalling; you can leave now."
"Why don’t you believe ? People believe my lies, but no one believes the truth. Everything happened in that room, and all evidence exists. Why am I the sinner while he can walk away easily?"
With that, Lin Xuelin wiped her tears, stood up, her legs giving way as she fell to the ground, then struggled to get up, dragging her suitcase and slowly moving towards the door.
At the living room door, she turned around, bowed to her aunt, "Auntie, thank you for taking care of all these years. I won’t contact you voluntarily in the future. You must live well."
Hearing the door close behind her, Lin Liyin went out to look around, made sure she had left, and quickly turned back to her bedroom. She told herself she should trust her husband, but couldn’t help feeling doubting, going back and forth to check inside and outside.
Poor Li Jianjun, innocently wearing a hat. Luckily he didn’t know, otherwise, he might have vomited blood. Considering himself an upright person, loyal and faithful, he was now seeking comfort from a friend, not knowing that girl would leave a thorn in his wife’s heart before leaving.
Lin Liyin searched thoroughly and still found nothing unusual.
After cleaning the bedroom, she grew angrier the more she thought. Not to ntion Li Jianjun was so disgusted he dared not stay at ho, even she herself didn’t want to stay in this bedroom.
Just thinking of it made her feel nauseous. The situation was so suffocating it made her want to kill, yet it was hard to tell others, even her closest elder brother. If she hadn’t witnessed the scene herself, she surely would be accused with no way to prove her innocence, no matter how she tried to wash it away.
Thinking of her mother-in-law and the unresolved matter with Zhou Xiaocun, she felt it was just the ti to tell her mother what sort of offspring she raised.
