"It’s Little Ping’an."

Geng Dasheng proudly looked at everyone’s astonished faces and said, "My grandma told that it happened on a weekend when many people were picking up their kids from daycare. Ping’an was playing in the dirt not far from the daycare gate.

So rude woman asked him if he had visited Mrs. Lin, and seeing that he ignored her, she kept asking if he knew Mrs. Lin was his grandma’s mother and that she poisoned his grandma. After several tis, the child got angry.

Our Ping’an was amazing back then; he grabbed the woman’s legs and pulled, imdiately knocking her down, twisted her arms, sat on her, and started stuffing mud into her mouth. While doing so, he shouted, ’She’s not my grandma’s real mom, she’s not my grandma’s real mom.’

There were so soldiers at the gate picking up their kids, and they said Ping’an moved very quickly, definitely looked trained. Several people had to step in to pull him away.

He was so angry then, shouting not to be underestimated because he was small. If she couldn’t keep her mouth clean, he’d wash it for her. He ignored her, yet she kept asking.

Everyone helped scold that rude woman, saying she was immoral, heartless, and deserved it, getting what she deserved from a four or five-year-old kid.

Ping’an cried aggrievedly, saying he slept with his grandma and grandpa and secretly heard his grandpa tell his grandma not to be sad; since they’re not blood-related, they can’t be treated as such. The poisoning was a way to repay the upbringing kindness."

Zhang Guoqing massaged his temples in frustration.

Geng Dasheng thought he was worried about the kid and patted him, "Relax, it’s okay. Uncle Zhou rushed over when he heard the news, Ping’an imdiately wiped his tears and smiled at Uncle Zhou charmingly.

I heard Uncle Zhou punished him by making him do horse stances. The next day he was happily jumping off to school. But since then, no matter how they coaxed him, he wouldn’t talk about it.

He wasn’t hurt that day, many praised his cleverness, asking how he knew to twist arms. He said when a hen flaps its wings, it wants to twist; sa with pigeons."

Yi Jiefang burst into laughter and patted Zhang Guoqing’s back, "As expected of your son. In a few years, I can take him hunting."

Zhang Guoqing was speechless as he looked at him.

"Alright, after the eting tonight, head back ho, I’ll cover for you, okay? The kid is still young, talk to him slowly, don’t scold him. This is just the child showing so spunk, don’t squash it."

Spunk? What spunk.

Could he not know about his own son? The little guy must have acted secretly. No wonder even the father-in-law didn’t tell him about it; he probably found it troubleso too.

Why do you ask if he knew Ping’an acted on his own?

With his father-in-law’s thods, even if he wanted Ping’an to act, he wouldn’t let him take down an adult. No matter how strong, a four or five-year-old Little Douding is still at a disadvantage.

This little drama king, where did he learn all these routines from? Wife, if you don’t co back soon, your son is going to take off to the skies!

After the eting, Zhang Guoqing didn’t have ti for the dorm, he dashed out, jumped on his bicycle, pedaling rapidly on the open dirt road, calculating the ti in hopes of catching his son before bedti.

If you asked Zhang Guoqing what he gained most in Beijing these years, he’d say he could walk from ho to school with his eyes closed, weaving through alleways and shortcuts.

Once in the city, more streetlights appeared before him, the lights between the alley windows and many people cooling off on the streets, starkly different from the suburban silence.

The elders at the mouth of the alley played chess and chatted, aunties sat on small stools chatting, while so kids played and darted around.

Zhang Guoqing didn’t stop to appreciate the night view of Beijing and the leisurely life at the alley entrance. With man and bike as one, his increasing speed brought him closer to ho.

Arriving at the Big Courtyard, he specially checked the ti, contentedly patting the bike seat. This old companion followed him from the Northeast to Beijing without disappointing him in performance.

"You’re rushing back from school again?"

Zhang Guoqing pulled out his ID and smiled, "Couldn’t sleep, just working out."

In this sumr, it seed everyone in the city was cooling off outside, wandering outside the houses. From the gate entrance, he encountered waves, almost delaying seeing his child.

Ping’an had just finished washing and was about to go to bed when he heard Zhang Guoqing’s voice, excitedly running toward it, only to be caught in a pair of hands before stepping out of the living room.

The small face bead with a joyful smile, little hands touching Zhang Guoqing’s forehead, "Whoa, you’re all sweaty, I’ll accompany dad to bathe."

Zhang Guoqing chuckled fondly at his son—how adorable.

"Alright. First, greet grandpa and them."

Zhou Xiaozheng exited the room, seeing the father-son duo, "No need to greet, go wash up fast. No more walking at night, it’s too dark, and if sothing happens, no village ahead, no shop behind, what would you do? Wash up, have so night snacks, rest early. Tonight, Ping’an sleeps with you, have a good talk with him."

Zhang Guoqing smiled and nodded.

After bathing, it was already Ping’an’s usual sleep ti.

Zhang Guoqing, disregarding any night snacks, had Aunt Chen place them in his study, carried his son back to the bedroom, and seeing his son’s eyes shining with delight, could not bring himself to scold.

He softened his tone, "Last ti dad was too careless to not notice our Ping’an being bullied. Do you rember which family’s woman it was?"

"Dad, I was wrong."

Zhang Guoqing held him in his arms, patting him, "Dad doesn’t think you were wrong. If soone bullies you, fighting back is right. No one will dare to chatter nonsensically in front of you again."

Ping’an’s eyes brightened, "Really?"

Zhang Guoqing smiled and nodded, "Now that the right is said. Now, dad will talk to you about the wrong. Are you sleepy now? Or shall we find a ti to talk?"

"Not sleepy, I miss dad."

Zhang Guoqing’s heart ached at this, "When dad’s on vacation, I’ll spend good ti with you."

Seeing his child’s smiling face, Zhang Guoqing suddenly didn’t want to explore right or wrong. What is right? What is wrong? Who can say clearly. This matter was handled perfectly by the child, no need to get to the bottom of it.

Ping’an nestled in his lap, blinking, softly said, "I know where I was wrong. Grandpa said it’s okay if I correct it, and next ti I want to do sothing, I should inform him first, let him perfect it. Once he thinks it’s ready, I can do whatever I want."

"Why did you think of acting on your own? Aren’t you worried about ruining grandpa’s plan? Or what if you ss up?"

Ping’an rubbed his fingers together, lowering his head, "That day I asked grandpa, why not let people know grandma is not Lin Family’s child? Grandpa said he would find a good mont in the next few days to announce it.

I imdiately knew I could tell others. Dad, you don’t know they show up at our door every day. I hate seeing them."

Zhang Guoqing chuckled heartily, kissing him several tis, "Dad hates them too. This ti you did amazingly. In the future, if you want to do sothing, better tell us first. Rember the wound on dad’s neck last ti? When your mom saw soone hurting dad, she picked up a chair to hit back, even kicked them several tis.

Think about it, if you got hurt, what would your mom do? She would cry and fight them for your sake. So son, for your mom, you must avoid danger in what you do.

You were not even one-year-old then, your mom pierced her finger with a needle to show you that it hurts, when blood flowed, dad felt heartache, but your mom said unless blood flowed, you wouldn’t rember."

Ping’an tightly hugged his dad’s neck, "Dad, I rember. I haven’t forgotten. I’ll be good in the future and not make mom angry."

Zhang Guoqing solemnly replied, "Good!"
