At just six o’clock, Jiang Ran asked Xia Qiufang to pack her things.
"I’ve already cut out quite a few dresses. Take them ho tonight and sew as many as you can. If you can’t finish, don’t stay up late; you can bring them back tomorrow and work on them here. With the three of them watching the front, you won’t need to co to the front tomorrow and can focus on sewing clothes."
Xia Qiufang didn’t refuse Jiang Ran’s words and agreed quickly.
Just as Xia Qiufang finished packing, Wang Cuilan rode her tricycle and brought Pei Jing over.
While Wang Cuilan was still parking, Pei Jing was already toddling inside.
"Mom!"
Hearing Pei Jing’s tender call, Jiang Ran smiled, "Little Jing, you’re here!"
Jiang Ran spoke as she squatted down. When Pei Jing ran up, she directly picked him up.
Even though Pei Jing was just over three years old, since Pei Huai and Jiang Ran were both tall, he inherited their genes and was naturally tall, too.
Compared to other kids in his class, Pei Jing was the tallest.
Growing taller naturally ans being heavier.
If not for Jiang Ran’s strength, she wouldn’t have been able to easily pick Pei Jing up.
Pei Jing wrapped his arms around Jiang Ran’s neck and gave her a loud kiss on the cheek.
Wang Cuilan walked in right at that mont, bursting into laughter at the sight.
"It’s a good thing there’s a fan in here. Otherwise, in this heat, you’d be sweating holding him!"
Pei Jing heard Wang Cuilan’s words but just smiled without saying anything.
Wang Cuilan had co to give Xia Qiufang a ride back ho.
Xia Qiufang wasn’t earning money yet, so she naturally couldn’t buy a bicycle first.
Fortunately, Wang Cuilan ca to town every day and could give her a ride.
Xia Qiufang wanted to return ho early— the sooner she returned and finished eating, the sooner she could start sewing.
Even though Jiang Ran had said not to force herself if she couldn’t finish, Xia Qiufang still wanted to try hard.
If she could finish everything, that would be the best.
This ant Xia Qiufang wanted to leave early, but Pei Jing didn’t.
Kids are always attached to their moms; the original owner hadn’t been good to Pei Jing before, but now that Jiang Ran was good to him, Pei Jing naturally wanted to cling to her.
Seeing Pei Jing’s reluctance and his unwillingness to leave, Wang Cuilan hesitated.
No one understood how busy Jiang Ran was better than Wang Cuilan.
If they left Pei Jing behind, who would look after him?
Just pondering this, she heard Pei Huai’s voice from behind, "Let Little Jing stay. I’ll watch him."
Wang Cuilan turned to Pei Huai, frowning slightly, "You haven’t taken care of Little Jing before. Are you sure you can do it?"
"I can!"
Pei Huai answered straightforwardly, but Wang Cuilan wasn’t convinced.
Before Wang Cuilan could say anything else, Pei Jing spoke up, "Papa can!"
Hearing Pei Jing’s words, what else could Wang Cuilan say?
"Alright. Since you both say so, I won’t say anything more. Qiu Fang, let’s go ho."
Xia Qiufang didn’t think there was any issue leaving Pei Jing there. His parents were both there, so there was nothing to worry about.
Moreover, Pei Jing was so well-behaved and lovely that there was no concern needed.
Wang Cuilan took Xia Qiufang away, and as the tricycle drove off, Jiang Ran finally carried Pei Jing into the shop.
Patting Pei Jing’s head, Jiang Ran gently asked, "Little Jing, have you had dinner?"
"Not yet."
Pei Jing usually went back to have dinner with Wang Cuilan.
Since he hadn’t gone back yet, he naturally hadn’t eaten.
