Next, the two of them didn’t speak anymore and quietly finished their breakfast.

After the al, Jiang Ran didn’t let Pei Huai wash the dishes. She very firmly took the bowls and chopsticks to the kitchen herself.

Pei Huai had already cooked, so making Pei Huai wash the dishes wouldn’t be very fair.

He cooks, she washes dishes—it’s more balanced that way.

Pei Huai probably thought the sa, so he didn’t argue much.

After Jiang Ran finished washing the dishes, both of them tidied up a bit and then headed out together.

They still needed to check on the small eatery.

This ti, without a hangover, Jiang Ran woke up at half-past six. After breakfast and washing dishes, it was only a bit past seven.

At this ti, it was school ti.

As soon as they left the small courtyard, they saw students hurriedly heading to school with their backpacks.

As they walked out of the alley and onto the main road, there were even more students.

Watching these students with backpacks and red scarves, Jiang Ran felt a lot of emotions.

Reflecting as they walked, they soon arrived at the small eatery.

Before even entering, they saw many people inside having breakfast.

So were students, and others were office workers.

No matter their gender, these people shared a common trait: they were young.

Usually, older people prefer to eat buns and porridge, or tofu pudding with deep-fried dough sticks or other things like that.

If they didn’t make breakfast at ho, they’d co out to eat sothing like this.

Watching from outside for a while, Jiang Ran then went inside.

Upon entering, she imdiately saw Chen Bing sitting in their usual spot.

The reason it’s called the usual spot is that ever since the small eatery was renovated, the three of them liked sitting in that corner.

Sitting there for so long, it just seed to have beco their usual spot.

Chen Bing was having breakfast, and when he saw Jiang Ran and Pei Huai, he waved at them, "Co, co, have you guys eaten?"

"We’ve eaten," Jiang Ran replied.

Chen Bing looked at Jiang Ran with regret, "You’ve eaten? That’s such a pity. I think the breakfast we sell is particularly delicious. In the future, if you don’t want to cook, just co over to eat. Spending money on breakfast anywhere, why not contribute to the store instead?"

Hearing Chen Bing’s words, Jiang Ran gave him a thumbs up.

As expected of Chen Bing, to have such thoughts, such awareness!

However, Jiang Ran still preferred to have hot breakfast.

The people eating in the shop now ca either because it was convenient or purely out of curiosity.

But no matter why they were there, Jiang Ran didn’t mind.

What she cared about most was that business was getting better as a result.

Jiang Ran contentedly watched for a bit, then grabbed so paper and a pen, wrote a recruiting notice, and posted it on the previously prepared sign, placing it at the entrance.

The business was so good that there was always a flow of people passing by the door. The recruiting notice wouldn’t be up long before soone would apply.

Though Jiang Ran knew soone would apply soon, she didn’t expect it to be so quick.

She had just placed the sign and hadn’t even turned to go back inside when soone called out to her.

"Hello, are you hiring here?"

The voice sounded familiar, but so early in the morning, Jiang Ran couldn’t recall where she’d heard it before.

When she turned her head and saw who was speaking, Jiang Ran laughed.

The world truly is small.

The person in front of her was no stranger—Xu Ruyun.

Xu Ruyun was equally surprised when she saw Jiang Ran, "Why is it you?"
