Cleaning definitely needs to be done, but not right now.
Jiang Ran shook her head, "Mom got caught in the rain and needs to take a shower first."
"Then hurry up and take a shower, mom!"
Hearing Pei Jing urging her to shower, Jiang Ran felt like teasing him a little, "Weren’t you waiting for mom to co back so you could talk to her? Let mom talk to you for a bit and then go shower!"
Upon hearing this, Pei Jing shook his little head like a rattle drum, "No, no, I can keep waiting. I’ll talk to mom after she’s done showering."
When he said this, Pei Jing looked incredibly serious.
Seeing Pei Jing like this, Jiang Ran didn’t tease him any longer, nodded, and stood up, "Alright, I’ll go shower. You wait for here for a bit."
There’s only one bathroom in the house, so we have to take turns showering.
Jiang Ran stood up and looked at Pei Huai, but before she could speak, Pei Huai quickly said, "You go first, I’ll play with him."
Hearing this, Jiang Ran didn’t say anything, nodded, and walked toward the bathroom.
Pei Jing’s gaze continued to follow Jiang Ran, watching her enter the room, then seeing her co out of the room with so items and head to the bathroom.
It wasn’t until the bathroom door closed that Pei Jing reluctantly withdrew his gaze.
Turning his head, Pei Jing then saw Pei Huai standing beside him.
"Dad, why did you and mom co back so late?"
Even though they walked into the yard together, Pei Huai felt that perhaps Pei Jing truly only noticed him just now.
Having experienced this nurous tis, he had grown accustod to it.
Pei Huai pulled up a small stool for himself and sat down next to Pei Jing.
"I took your mom out to eat sothing delicious, so we ca back late."
After saying that, Pei Huai looked at Pei Jing, curious to see what his reaction would be.
After staring at Pei Jing for a while, he saw Pei Jing widen his eyes, "Sothing delicious? What did you eat? Does mom like it? Was it tasty?"
Pei Huai was silent for a mont and then asked, "Why don’t you ask why we didn’t take you?"
Normally, in such a situation, shouldn’t Pei Jing ask why they didn’t take him along?
But this little guy asked several questions, none of which were the ones he expected.
Pei Jing blinked his bright black eyes, "As long as mom ate, that’s good!"
When Pei Jing couldn’t eat his fill, he would save his peanuts for Jiang Ran.
Now that he could eat enough, he certainly wouldn’t compete with Jiang Ran for food.
Of course, Pei Huai wouldn’t know this at all.

To avoid making Pei Jing wait too long, Jiang Ran was quick with her shower.
In about half an hour, she was dressed and ca out.
Pei Jing, resting his chin on his hand, was talking with Pei Huai, but as soon as Jiang Ran opened the bathroom door, he imdiately knew and shouted "mom" in a crisp and loud voice.
Pei Huai, "..."
Pei Huai stood up, "I’ll go shower."
He felt he shouldn’t stay here but should go into the bathroom instead.
Pei Jing seed not to hear Pei Huai’s words at all, still fixated on Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran ca over, patted Pei Jing’s little head, and said to Pei Huai, "You go ahead and shower."
Just about to leave the scene dejectedly, Pei Huai’s expression instantly brightened when he heard this, "Alright."
Jiang Ran’s hair wasn’t completely dry yet, and she continued drying it with a towel after sitting down.
Seeing this, Pei Jing stood up and leaned over, "Mom, can I help you dry it too?"
Jiang Ran, "Sure! Let’s dry it together!"
