Fortunately, both of their families live nearby, so even though it was completely dark outside when they exited the private kitchen,
because of the short distance and because they were all family, with quite a few people, there was no worry about any unexpected situations occurring.
After saying goodbye at the door, they headed ho in their respective directions.
Pei Jing rarely stayed up this late and was already so sleepy that he couldn’t keep his eyes open.
And since it was dark and the road was hard to see, and he was too sleepy to keep his eyes open, Jiang Ran, of course, wouldn’t let him walk on his own. She carried him in her arms all the way ho.
When they got back, Pei Jing didn’t wake up even during his bath, clearly exhausted.

That’s a good thing too.
Children are in their growing phase; only with proper rest and nutrition can they grow better.
Jiang Ran also doesn’t have the habit of staying up late. Since there’s not much entertainnt at night, going to bed early and waking up early keeps the body and mind healthy. It also gives more ti for other things during the day.
So, Jiang Ran quickly washed up, and since she didn’t wash her hair, she could lie down and sleep imdiately after coming back.
She slept well, without any dreams, waking up directly the next morning.
With her biological clock already set, she didn’t even need an alarm; once it was ti, she opened her eyes naturally.
After Jiang Ran woke up and got dressed, Pei Jing also woke up.
When Pei Jing woke up, he didn’t fuss but rubbed his eyes and sat up on his own.
Looking around and spotting Jiang Ran standing by the table, he called out "Mama" in a soft, slightly hoarse voice from just waking up.
The sound was so soft and sweet, it would lt anyone’s heart.
Jiang Ran smiled at Pei Jing, walked to the bedside, and ruffled his little head, "You’re awake, let’s get you dressed."
Pei Jing shook his head, "I can dress myself. I don’t need Mom’s help."
The little four-year-old had already learned to dress and put on shoes by himself.
As long as he could do it himself, he wouldn’t ask Jiang Ran for help.
Jiang Ran didn’t feel like Pei Jing was being stubborn, nor did she feel disappointed or a lack of accomplishnt because Pei Jing didn’t need her help.
On the contrary, she felt very pleased that Pei Jing was already showing independence at such a young age.
After watching Pei Jing get fully dressed, Jiang Ran tidied up the bed, opened the door, and took Pei Jing out with her.
The mother and son washed up first, and by the ti they ca out, all the sleepiness had vanished from their faces.
It was just barely light outside by then, and the temperature was still quite cool.
Although the courtyard was bright, and the sun seed already risen, the gentle breeze rustled the flowers, plants, and trees, making a rustling sound.
This early sumr was the most delightful.
