Now reading: Chapter 70: Wooden Boards from Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom, a Romance novel by Yu Renmei.

"Five sets."

"Two days will be enough," Wang Tianfang readily agreed.

Pei Baoshan patted Wang Tianfang on the shoulder, "I knew it."

Wang Tianfang wasn’t working alone; he had three sons, all of whom had learned woodworking from him since childhood and were now quite capable on their own.

The four of them working together could finish these five sets of tables and chairs in less than two days.

But to be safe, Wang Tianfang said it would take two days.

After finishing the discussion about the tables and chairs, Jiang Ran brought up the wooden boards she wanted.

They were actually larger plaques on which Jiang Ran planned to do so crafts or paintings to hang in the shop as decorations.

These plaques didn’t have any specific requirents in terms of size or thickness.

Hearing Jiang Ran’s loose requirents, Wang Tianfang wasted no ti and directly led Jiang Ran to his workshop.

"You’re in luck. I happen to have so boards here. Take a look and see if they work for you. If they do, just take them!"

Jiang Ran looked in the direction Wang Tianfang pointed and indeed saw so boards piled up there.

They varied in thickness and size.

So were rectangular, so square, and others had irregular shapes.

Jiang Ran tried to pick so larger ones, and after selecting a dozen, she stopped. "This many will be enough, thank you, Uncle."

The mont Jiang Ran called him "Uncle," Wang Tianfang’s expression changed noticeably.

The two families weren’t far apart, so Wang Tianfang knew that Jiang Ran had changed, especially since he had heard enough stories about her in the past two months.

But those were just hearsays.

Hearing Jiang Ran call him "Uncle" firsthand was shocking.

Not just shocking, it was also a bit heartwarming.

If Jiang Ran could call him "Uncle," she presumably treated his sister well at ho too.

This thought made Wang Tianfang even happier.

Unlike other families with many siblings, the Wang Family had only Wang Cuilan and Wang Tianfang as brother and sister.

Their parents had been gone for many years, but the siblings always maintained a good relationship.

Because the two families lived close, they frequently visited each other, knowing each other’s matters easily.

Wang Tianfang knew about Jiang Ran’s past actions and had often been upset about them.

But there’s nothing to be done about it. Jiang Ran was, after all, the Pei Family’s daughter-in-law. Was it possible for him, as the uncle, to go over and reprimand her?

Even if he dares, who knows who’d end up reprimanding whom by the end of it!

But now, things were different. Jiang Ran had changed, and he needn’t worry about his sister anymore.

After discussing everything, Jiang Ran left the Wang Family with the selected boards, accompanied by Pei Baoshan.

On their way back, they walked in silence again.

However, this ti Jiang Ran wasn’t bothered by it. She was entirely focused on figuring out what to do with the boards.

While wrapped in her thoughts, her feet kept moving, and before she knew it, she was already ho.

It was already late, so Jiang Ran didn’t continue with any other tasks and went to bed early after freshening up.

The next day, when heading to the county, Jiang Ran took a few boards with her.

After the morning rush, Jiang Ran went to check the shop’s condition.

The white paint on the walls had dried, and the whole shop was painted white, making it look much brighter.

Jiang Ran carefully inspected and found no black spots on the walls, so she didn’t repaint them.

Having checked the walls, Jiang Ran headed to the departnt store.

When she ca out of the departnt store, she had more brushes and paints in her hands.
