The eight-treasure porridge needs to be cooked in a large pot; the flavor only cos out well when it’s cooked in a big pot.
To buy such a pot for cooking porridge, Jiang Ran had to put in so effort.
Because the pot was too big for them to bring back themselves, soone would deliver it later.
Jiang Ran bought two of those pots, one for making porridge and the other for stewing soup.
Just these two big pots cost them several tens of yuan.
Fortunately, the money for the ingredients ca from their pre-set aside funds; otherwise, they would have to pool money together again.
After buying these things, their available funds were almost depleted.
Whether they could hope to recoup their costs depended on tomorrow.
To be fully prepared, they naturally couldn’t go ho early.
But Pei Jing, after all, was a child and had to attend kindergarten the next day, so he couldn’t stay up late with them. Jiang Ran let Pei Baoshan and Wang Cuilan take him ho first.

The dough for the buns had to be prepared in advance too. Besides the dough for the buns, Jiang Ran also prepared dough for frying dough sticks and sugar cakes.
By the ti they finished all this, it was already ten o’clock at night.
For convenience, Jiang Ran had specifically bought a wall clock, which she hung on the wall opposite the kitchen, so she could see the ti whenever she looked up.
Looking at the ti on the wall clock, Jiang Ran didn’t really feel like going ho.
Going ho would take them at least an hour, which ant they wouldn’t reach ho until after eleven.
They’d have to get up at four in the morning to rush back, leaving them only five hours of sleep at most.
