At 2:30 PM, the ultimate showdown started.
In a floor-length bright red gown, Lin ng announced slightly excitedly: "Distinguished leaders, teachers, and students, the most thrilling mont has arrived. Who will be the crowd-anticipated champion? Let’s wait and see.
The focus of this debate is whether college students’ relationships can be advocated so long as they do not affect their studies or must be curbed. Now, let’s welco the two teams up for this showdown.
First up is the affirmative team from B University, whose stance is that college relationships can be advocated as long as they do not affect studies.
Their debaters are: First debater Li Yuming, a sophomore in B University’s Law Departnt; second debater Wu Yingzi, a junior in the Chinese Departnt; third debater Miao Linqi, a senior in the Chinese Departnt; and fourth debater Yu Aiping, a junior in the English Departnt.
Now entering the stage is the GF University’s affirmative team, whose stance is that college relationships must be curbed even if they do not affect studies.
Their debaters are: First debater Yu Na, a sophomore in GF University’s Computer Science Departnt; second debater Zhan Hao, a sophomore in the sa departnt; third debater Luo Ye, also a sophomore in Computer Science; and fourth debater Lu Lu, freshman in the Battle Command Departnt."
After both teams took the stage, the program continued as before, with verbal sparring leading into free debate ti. There wasn’t much issue among debaters, but after the debate ended, bickering started among the judges, specifically between Zhou Aibang and Yi Yuqing.
Both were stubborn, standing their ground on scoring.
The other five professors tried to diate on the side, but couldn’t persuade either party.
Lin ng cheerfully raised the microphone: "It seems that my two fellow professionals are still feeling the debate vibes and want to carry on."
"Haha..." The crowd below laughed.
Seeing the teasing didn’t deter them, Lin ng suggested, "Mr. Zhou and Miss Yi, since you two can’t agree, why not bring the focal point of your dispute out for everyone to evaluate together?"
"Alright!" Yi Yuqing raised her scorecard: "Our argunt is centered around the third debater from GF University, Luo Ye. As far as I know, yesterday, Mr. Zhou privately t with Miss Luo Ye, which I find exceedingly unprofessional.
As a judge in this competition, eting privately with participants before it concludes impinges upon fairness and impartiality.
Therefore, I gave Luo Ye a personal score of 80, which I believe is entirely fair. Moreover, it falls under my scoring freedom, yet Mr. Zhou, after seeing my score, insisted forcefully that I change it to a higher one.
This was absolutely unreasonable, and I strongly suspect Mr. Zhou might have struck so deal with participant Luo Ye!"
"That’s slander!" Zhou Aibang also lifted his scorecard, "I believe everyone must have witnessed Luo Ye’s performance.
The debate topic is unknown to the judges before the match begins; hence, my eting with her signifies nothing.
Moreover, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell everyone that my production team has chosen Luo Ye. We hope she can co-host with .
Worried that ti would run short for negotiation later, I decided to et Luo Ye yesterday. However, the result of our eting was not as we had originally expected.
Luo Ye firmly rejected my proposal, as she views that, as a military academy student, her duty is to steadfastly pursue becoming a soldier, and the spotlight shouldn’t belong to her.
