Luo Ye rolled her eyes at her: "Did you see it wrong? I’ve always been like this."
"Really?" Zhu Hongyu rubbed her eyes in doubt, "Did I really see it wrong? I’m only in my twenties, I’m not at the age where my eyesight fails yet, right?"
"That means you didn’t pay enough attention to me before."
"Impossible..." Zhu Hongyu frowned, "I’ve been paying attention to you ever since we met, how can you say I didn’t pay enough attention? Luo Ye, swear that you’re not hiding anything."
"Oh, I’ve realized, no matter what kind of personality a woman has, she’ll be super concerned about face. I’m telling you seriously, I absolutely have no secrets!"
"Alright, I believe you." Zhu Hongyu yawned, "Talking is tiring too, I want to take a nap."
Luo Ye nodded: "Mm, keep your skin nice and healthy, so someone might just fall for you."
"What nonsense are you talking about!" Zhu Hongyu gave her a slap, "I’ve already told you, I don’t like him anymore!"
"Alright, alright, you don’t like him yet you made the first stop at his unit, how should I interpret this?!" Luo Ye sighed deeply, "Coach Yue, there will be a day you’ll regret this!"
"I’m ignoring you, I’m going to sleep." Zhu Hongyu leaned back and closed her eyes as she spoke.
...
With a neatly pressed uniform on, a buzz cut, dark plexion, his features aren’t exactly handsome, but there’s a fort to his appearance. As Luo Ye and Zhu Hongyu got off the plane, they were greeted by this man who bore a resemblance of three or four parts to Yue Santie, Xue Fengqi.
"Xiao Yu, is this the Luo Ye who’s going to be your partner?"
"Old Xue, your first question is that? Could it be love at first sight with our Major Luo? Let me tell you, she’s already taken. Don’t get any ideas!"
"You!" Xue Fengqi pointed at her helplessly, "I’ve realized, you can’t feel fortable unless you’re poking fun at me. Major Luo, don’t listen to her nonsense. Ever since childhood, she’s always been this unruly girl in front of me."
"Ha ha..., mander Xue, hello." Luo Ye greeted with a smile.
Xue Fengqi laughed heartily: "No need to be so formal, just call me Old Xue. I heard you’re already a major at just twenty years old, pared to you, I really should strangle myself."
"Well..., I won’t say much then. Saying modest words would seem fake, admitting it would seem arrogant, so, I’ll just keep quiet."
Xue Fengqi gave a thumbs up: "Old Zhu, I finally understand why you insisted on having her as your assistant, her personality is the perfect match for you!"
"He’s just a coarse man, don’t pay attention to him!" Zhu Hongyu glared at Xue Fengqi, "I’ve told you so many times, don’t call me Old Zhu, if you keep calling me that, I’ll break up with you."
"Little Zhu?"
"Scram!"
Xue Fengqi touched his head with a look of sudden realization: "Got it, got it, women fear getting old, so, you want me to call you piglet!"
Zhu Hongyu lifted her leg and kicked over: "Go die!"
Dodging in a flash, Xue Fengqi shook his head helplessly: "No wonder you’ve never had a boyfriend, with your personality, who dares to want you?"
Seeing Zhu Hongyu’s face change a bit, Luo Ye quickly changed the subject: "Brother Xue, the bus is about to leave, shall we?"
Xue Fengqi slapped his forehead with a jolt, pointing to the green jeep a few meters away: "That’s our car, look at me, losing my posure at the sight of a piglet."
"Dead Oinker!" Zhu Hongyu gave him a hard push, "If you boast any more, I’ll spill your embarrassing childhood stories!"
Xue Fengqi quickly begged for mercy: "Alright, alright, I’ll shut up."
After getting in the car, Zhu Hongyu looked at Luo Ye: "Do you know why he’s called Oinker?"
Xue Fengqi’s face turned bright red with anxiety: "Hong Yu, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!"
"Too late..." Zhu Hongyu drawled as she gave him a sideways glance, continuing to ask Luo Ye, "Use your imagination, take a guess?"
Luo Ye held back a laugh: "I can sort of guess, but I’m not sure if I’m right."
"Say it out loud."
"No need, no need." Xue Fengqi waved his hands repeatedly, "Hong Yu, I promise, I’ll never tease you again."
"Tease?" Zhu Hongyu asked in return.
"Yeah, I won’t call you by your nickname anymore, nor laugh at you for being a tomboy..."
With a face full of anger, Zhu Hongyu cut him off: "He’s called Oinker because he wet the bed until he was six, his quilts always had a yellow ring after a yellow ring sunning outside."
Pretending to be nonchalant, Luo Ye stared out the window, as if mesmerized by the scenery, in reality, laughing internally until she almost burst, these two are indeed a pair of quarrelsome yet loving panions.
Zhu Hongyu has feelings for Xue Fengqi, that’s for sure, and Xue Fengqi absolutely isn’t as uninterested in Zhu Hongyu as she claims.
