Great Grandpa was lying on a chair, cuddling with Hei and basking in the sun when he suddenly opened his eyes and picked up his cane to tap on the ground: "Nanny Lu, help to the front courtyard."
"Yes, Grandpa, I’ll help you there right away," Nanny Lu answered joyfully. Recently, Grandpa had caught a cold which lingered for nearly a month before he finally recovered.

In the front yard’s main hall, Old Master Ye was casually chatting with a bunch of younger generations when he saw Nanny Lu helping Grandpa in. He hurriedly went to welco them, and the other youngsters quickly stood up, respectfully greeting him.

Seeing the Ye family coming out to welco them from afar, Luo Ye hurried her pace to et them: "Great Grandpa, Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Su, Second Aunt, good..."

Grandma looked at Luo Ye with a chuckle: "Ye’er, I’ve never seen Grandpa this fond of soone in all the years I’ve been married into the Ye family."
Su Sha’s face darkened; ever since she married into the family, Grandpa was never quite satisfied with her, let alone after his mory had declined.
Si Yue asked with a smile: "Ye’er, your engagent is set for the ninth, why did you co today?"
"There’s a bit of work to do," Luo Ye smiled at her, "Does Second Aunt an to say I’m not welco here?"
Ye Qinglian frowned disapprovingly, "Luo Ye, how can you talk to my mom like that? Don’t think you can disrespect everyone just because Great Grandpa dotes on you."
Ever since Grandpa sat down in the hall, she hadn’t felt good; why should a stranger, not yet married into the family, receive Grandpa’s affection like this?
If things kept going this way, what status would their family have left in the Ye household once she married in? Mom was right, they needed to intimidate the other side from the start.
This young lady looked delicate and weak, but she was certainly not as easy to control as Su Sha. Therefore, showing assertiveness was a must!
