"Otherwise, what? You want to hit you again?" Jiang Xue stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Cheng Li. If she weren’t worried about the children at ho going hungry, she really wouldn’t mind giving Cheng Li another beating.
"You dare!" Cheng Li shouted, the pain radiating through her body fueled her growing hatred. Originally planning for her and her mother to give Jiang Xue a good beating, she didn’t expect the tables to turn and get beaten instead. What awful luck.
The more Cheng Li thought about it, the more unwilling she felt, so she turned to Mrs. Cheng and said, "Mom, go get the village chief, tell him Jiang Xue hit us."
"Alright, alright, I’m going right now!" Mrs. Cheng said, imdiately turning around to find the village chief.
Jiang Xue sneered at them and said, "Alright then, I also want to have a word with the village chief about how you have been bullying ."
"Jiang Xue, you’re talking nonsense! It’s obvious you hit us, and now you’re falsely accusing us of bullying you. Do you think the village chief is stupid?"
"Whether the village chief is stupid or not, I don’t know. I only know that I’m just one person, while you are two. Who do you think will believe I hit you?"
"You?" Cheng Li was furious, glaring at Jiang Xue. She knew Jiang Xue was right. Not to ntion their reputation in the village, simply by numbers alone, they were two while Jiang Xue was one, no one would believe Jiang Xue hit them.
Moreover, this was their ho. In everyone’s mind, how could Jiang Xue have stord in on her own?
Jiang Xue, watching Cheng Li seething with anger, gave a faint smile and walked towards the courtyard gate. Mrs. Cheng watched and asked Cheng Li, "Daughter, aren’t you going to get the village chief?"
"How to get him?" Cheng Li glared at Mrs. Cheng in annoyance and said, "It’s all your fault for being useless, otherwise how could Jiang Xue have bullied ?"
As Cheng Li uttered these words, Mrs. Cheng couldn’t help but feel guilty. She also felt useless, her reputation as fierce was for nothing if she couldn’t even handle Jiang Xue. Not only that, they both ended up getting beaten.
Why? She was never one to suffer losses in the village, so how could she repeatedly be bullied by a little girl?
No way, she had to get her dignity back. With this thought, Mrs. Cheng glanced at Jiang Xue, who was almost at the courtyard gate, with a look of malice on her face.
Suddenly, she lunged toward Jiang Xue, extending her hands to push Jiang Xue’s back.
Jiang Xue was just walking, completely unaware of Mrs. Cheng’s malicious intent. Luckily, her little fox advisor. Just as Mrs. Cheng harbored ill intentions against her, Little Fox suddenly warned, "Jiang Xue, be careful, that old woman is going to ambush you."

Her head throbbed with pain, and Mrs. Cheng was so furious she could have spit blood. She touched the big bump on her head, turned around, and looked at Jiang Xue, who was standing there smiling at her, seething with anger, she raised her hand to point at her, too angry to speak.
"Auntie, does it hurt?" Jiang Xue asked with a smile, which made Mrs. Cheng even angrier, almost wishing to tear Jiang Xue apart.
