Not long after, there was a knock on the door. Jiang Xue thought it was her parents-in-law getting up. To her surprise, it was Mu Qiancheng, and he was carrying breakfast.
Seeing Mu Qiancheng, Jiang Xue smiled and asked, "Why are you here so early?"
"I ran over here," Mu Qiancheng replied with a smile, then brought the breakfast inside. He wouldn’t tell Jiang Xue that as soon as he got back yesterday, he asked his superior for two days off, saying his parents were visiting and he needed to show them around.
The superior imdiately agreed, so he ca over early today.
"You!" Jiang Xue didn’t know what to say when she heard Mu Qiancheng ran over.
After entering the room, Mu Qiancheng placed the food on the table and asked Jiang Xue, "Are Mom and Dad up yet?"
"Not yet."
Hearing this, Mu Qiancheng didn’t say much and turned to check on his son. After more than a month away, the little one had grown a lot and looked much better than before.
Moreover, he could smile now. Last night, he didn’t have a chance to play with him. Today he wouldn’t miss it, otherwise, he’d be out again soon and have no ti.

The child seed to understand Mu Qiancheng’s words and grinned at him.
"Xue’er, look, even our son thinks I’m right. See how happily he’s smiling!"
"Alright, you two just keep praising each other. I’ll go check if Mom and Dad are up." Encountering such a narcissistic father and son duo made Jiang Xue feel flushed, so she decided to step outside for so fresh air.
She left the room and knocked on the next room’s door.
Upon hearing the knock, Bai Yuhua opened the door. Seeing Jiang Xue, she smiled and said, "Xue’er, why are you up so early? I was just telling your dad to let you sleep a bit more."
"Mom, Qiancheng is here. If you and Dad are ready, co to my room for breakfast."
"Alright, we’ll be right over." Bai Yuhua was overjoyed to hear her son had co. They had actually been up for a while but stayed in their room fearing they’d disturb Jiang Xue’s rest.
"Okay, I’ll go back and wait for you." Jiang Xue said and returned to her room. As soon as she entered, she saw Mu Qiancheng and their son playing happily, one grinning and the other being lifted high up.
Seeing this, Jiang Xue felt a bit worried and said, "Qiancheng, be careful. The child is still young, and his bones are soft. Be careful not to hurt him."
"I know, I’ll be careful."
Just as Jiang Xue finished speaking, Mu Siwu and Bai Yuhua entered. Seeing their son lifting the little grandson so high, they were startled and said, "Chengcheng, what are you doing? Put him down quickly."
Seeing his mother’s worried look, Mu Qiancheng put Little Reunion down and said, "Mom, don’t worry, nothing will happen."
