"It’s Jiang Xue, soone was looking for your dad, so I brought them over."
"Uncle Village Chief, co on in. My dad is eating right now." Jiang Xue stepped back to let the village chief enter first, while she walked towards the small car.
When she reached the car, the window rolled down, revealing a familiar face to Jiang Xue.
"Sister-in-law!" Liu Yongfa called out with a smile when he saw Jiang Xue, and then turned off the car and ca inside.
"Brother Liu, it’s you." Jiang Xue was surprised to see Liu Yongfa. She hadn’t expected the person sent by Mu Qiancheng to be Liu Yongfa.
"Sister-in-law, Qian Cheng had sothing to do, so he asked to take you and Uncle and Aunt to Xu City."
"Thank you so much." Jiang Xue smiled.
"It’s no trouble, I’m off today anyway." Liu Yongfa said as he followed Jiang Xue into the yard.
When they went inside, Father Jiang had finished eating and was talking to the village chief. When they saw Liu Yongfa, they stopped their conversation and greeted him.
"Uncle, are you ready? If you are, then we won’t delay, leaving early ans we can arrive early." Liu Yongfa said with a smile. It takes more than two hours to get to Xu City, and it was already almost eight o’clock.
By the ti they arrive, it’s about eleven o’clock. And the doctor’s off-duty ti is eleven-thirty, if they’re late, they might not even get a number.
"We’re ready, just waiting for your aunt to finish washing the dishes, and we can leave."
"Alright, I’ll help you load the things you need to take into the car first."
"Thank you."
"Uncle, it’s no trouble."
After Liu Yongfa spoke, he and Jiang Xue loaded the things they needed to take, including quilts and washbasins, into the car trunk.
Once they finished loading, Mrs. Jiang had also washed the dishes and tidied up the kitchen.
The village chief knew Father Jiang was going to Xu City for surgery, so he didn’t stay long and left after saying a few words. Once the village chief left, Jiang Xue helped Father Jiang into the car, and the family headed to Xu City.
The journey was fairly smooth, and they arrived at the hospital right at eleven o’clock. After getting out of the car, Jiang Xue went to register, while Liu Yongfa stayed with Father Jiang.
Jiang Xue registered for Professor Han, and it happened to be his last patient for the morning. Jiang Xue had already discussed Father Jiang’s situation with Professor Han last ti, but he still asked about Father Jiang’s condition again.
After asking, Professor Han gave Father Jiang an order for tests in the afternoon and arranged a ward for him.
Jiang Xue took the order to handle the admission procedures and then took Father Jiang to the ward to settle in. After seeing Father Jiang settled, Liu Yongfa brought their belongings over as well.
When they finished everything, it was already twelve-thirty. Jiang Xue wanted to invite everyone for lunch, but Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang insisted on not going. Father Jiang was also a bit tired, so he wanted to rest for a while.
So, he said to Jiang Xue, "Xue’er, you and Xiao Liu go eat. Bring sothing back for and your mom after you finish, we won’t go."
Seeing her father indeed looked tired, Jiang Xue didn’t say much and directly went to eat with Liu Yongfa.
Fortunately, there were many restaurants next to the hospital. They found one with a decent environnt and went in.
The two of them didn’t eat much; Jiang Xue ordered three dishes, a soup, and two servings of rice. After they finished eating, Jiang Xue asked the owner to pack two dishes, two servings of rice, and two portions of soup before heading back to the ward.
After dropping Jiang Xue off at the ward, Liu Yongfa left. Jiang Xue didn’t mind, thinking he was going ho, so she thanked him again.
