Qian Cheng was stunned, standing there with a blank mind.
Xue’er was bowing her head, feeding the baby, completely unaware that Qian Cheng had returned. She was observing, seeing if the baby could latch properly.
It wasn’t until a strong gaze fell upon her that she realized sothing and lifted her head, eting Qian Cheng’s fervent eyes.
Xue’er was completely shocked, staring blankly at Qian Cheng, forgetting to pull down her clothes.
It wasn’t until the baby accidentally bit her that she snapped out of it, blushing instantly. She quickly pulled her clothes down, feeling awkward and at a loss.
However, the baby, having lost its food source, began to cry again.
Seeing the baby cry, Xue’er couldn’t care less about the embarrassnt and began to soothe it. At this mont, Qian Cheng also snapped out of his daze, took a deep breath, and walked toward Xue’er.
Qian Cheng reached the bedside, seeing that Xue’er couldn’t calm the baby, he said, "Xue’er, let soothe him."
Xue’er glanced at Qian Cheng and handed the baby to him.
Qian Cheng held the baby and gently began to soothe him. Xue’er watched in a daze, absolutely captivated by Qian Cheng.
At this mont, Qian Cheng’s face was full of tenderness, softly humming an unknown tune, gently patting the baby’s swaddling clothes, his eyes filled with doting affection.
It was the first ti for Xue’er to see this side of Qian Cheng, as if he was enveloped in a halo, making it impossible for her to look away.
At this mont, she suddenly envied the baby. To receive such a gaze from Qian Cheng, to be treated so gently by him.
Not long after, the baby was cald down, not only did he stop crying, but he also closed his eyes and fell asleep. When Bai Yuhua ca in after washing the dishes, she saw Qian Cheng preparing to put the baby to bed.
"Is the baby asleep?" Bai Yuhua asked softly, glancing at the little one.
"Yeah!" Qian Cheng nodded, then turned to Bai Yuhua and said, "Mom, you go ahead and do your things. Xue’er and I are here with the baby."
"Alright, I’ll go then. If there’s anything, just call ." Bai Yuhua was still a bit worried about these two new parents, advised them, and then went out.
With the baby asleep and Bai Yuhua out of the room, only Xue’er and Qian Cheng were left. Thinking of the previous scene, Xue’er’s face couldn’t help but turn red again.
They were a married couple and had been intimate, but just the thought of Qian Cheng having seen her body made her face feel like it was burning, both red and hot.
"Xue’er, what’s wrong? Are you okay?" Qian Cheng looked at Xue’er’s suddenly flushed face and couldn’t help but worry.
"I’m fine!" Xue’er shook her head, she was fine.
"Your face is so red, how can you say you’re fine? Do you have a fever?" Qian Cheng clearly didn’t believe her, reached out to touch Xue’er’s forehead, feeling it was warm, and grew more concerned.
"I’m really fine, I’ll be okay in a bit!" Xue’er tilted her head away to dodge Qian Cheng’s hand, then lay down on the bed and said, "I’m a bit tired, I’ll sleep for a while first."
After saying that, Xue’er pulled up the quilt, covering herself completely.
Qian Cheng watched, stunned for a long mont, then slightly curled his lips and said, "So she was shy!"
