She didn’t have a library card, so she didn’t borrow any books from inside but went straight to the library’s reading room to study the self-study books she brought with her.
Upon entering the reading room, Jiang Xue found a spot relatively further inside, sat down, and started taking notes while reading.
Occasionally, she would lift her head to stretch her neck, arms, and such. When she lifted her head for the third ti, she imdiately noticed a gaze falling upon her.

The person was a boy, looking about eighteen or nineteen, quite sunny in appearance, with eyes bright as the moon.
When he smiled, he was also very good-looking, and he gave off a warm feeling. However, Jiang Xue didn’t recognize him, and it was likely their first eting.
Seeing that the boy had no ill intent, Jiang Xue returned his smile, and then lowered her head again to continue reading. Just as she was reading, a shadow suddenly appeared beside her.
When she looked up, it turned out to be the boy who had been staring at her.
"Is there anything you need?" Jiang Xue looked at the boy and asked with a smile. She couldn’t understand why this boy had approached her and what his purpose was.
"Sorry to disturb you." The boy looked at Jiang Xue with so apology, then said, "My na is Shangguan Wenbin, I’d like to be friends with you. I wonder if you’re willing?"
Jiang Xue was taken aback, looking at Shangguan Wenbin for quite a while without speaking.
"Don’t you want to?" Seeing Jiang Xue not responding, Shangguan Wenbin couldn’t help but beco anxious and then said, "Classmate, I an no harm, just that you give a sense of déjà vu. Moreover, the mont I saw you, I felt very close and wanted to befriend you."
Jiang Xue gave Shangguan Wenbin a deep look, and it was apparent that he really ant no harm. Because his eyes were extrely clear, without a hint of other intentions.
Therefore, he was not like other n who would hit on a girl just because she was pretty.
"Jiang Xue!" Jiang Xue quietly uttered her na.
"Hello!" Shangguan Wenbin smiled and then extended his hand toward Jiang Xue. Jiang Xue looked at him again and then said, "A handshake won’t be necessary."
Shangguan Wenbin seed a bit disappointed but quickly recovered, then lowered his head to glance at the books on Jiang Xue’s desk and asked, "Are you studying for a self-exam? Aren’t you a university student?"
Jiang Xue shook her head and continued to look at the books on the desk. Shangguan Wenbin, seeing that Jiang Xue wasn’t interested in engaging with him, didn’t leave but sat down beside her and began reading his own book.
He had laid out the book, but Shangguan Wenbin wasn’t really reading it. Because most of the ti, he was watching Jiang Xue.
He didn’t know why, but when he first laid eyes on Jiang Xue, he felt as if he had seen her sowhere before. Yet, he couldn’t quite recall where.
However, he was sure that he must have seen Jiang Xue before, or at least soone who looked like her. Especially Jiang Xue’s eyes, they felt particularly familiar, as if he had seen them a thousand tis.
Although Jiang Xue was reading, she was aware that Shangguan Wenbin beside her kept watching her. However, since he didn’t speak up, she didn’t feel like speaking up either.
So, the two of them continued like this, one reading, the other watching. Ti slowly passed by, and Jiang Xue glanced at the watch on her wrist; it was almost ti for Manager Yang to get off work, so she stood up to leave.
