Early the next morning, Old Sir Jiang and Old Madam Jiang, accompanied by attendants, headed to Cheng Family Village.

After waiting for a full hour, the sound of a car finally ca from the village road. The village chief imdiately ran out from the village committee office and waited at the entrance.
Accompanying Old Sir Jiang and Old Madam Jiang were so officials from the town. They got out of the car first and respectfully helped to open the car door for Old Sir Jiang.
Seeing that even town officials were so respectful to Old Sir Jiang, the village chief naturally beca even more respectful. He invited the group to the village for tea, only to learn that the person Old Sir Jiang was looking for was Cheng Li’s mother.

It was still early, Mrs. Cheng had just finished dinner and was preparing to go work in the fields.
Ever since the villagers learned that Cheng Li was imprisoned, her life beca harder and even the village chief, who always protected them, ignored her. Let alone others.

Just as she was about to go work in the fields, Mrs. Cheng heard a knock on the door and paused, taking a while before slowly going to open the courtyard gate.
When she opened the gate and saw the village chief standing outside, she was stunned and asked, "Village chief, why are you here?"
"Mrs. Xiao Li, this is Old Jiang, he’s here to see you." The village chief pointed to Old Jiang beside him, then pushed the gate open further and walked inside.
