Although she was the one who took the initiative to find Gao Yang, she still needed to maintain her composure when necessary.
"Lu Ling, why are you here?" Gao Yang asked as he walked up to Lu Ling, "Did you specifically co to find for sothing?"

"Sorry, I got held up by sothing." Gao Yang looked at Lu Ling’s aggrieved expression and imdiately felt guilty.
He realized he shouldn’t have stood Lu Ling up. If there was sothing, he should have explained it to her clearly instead of hiding in his dormitory alone.

Gao Yang snapped back to reality and then caught up with Lu Ling. The two of them headed to their eting spot in the grove. Once they reached the grove, before they could sit down, Gao Yang eagerly pulled Lu Ling into his arms and attempted to kiss her.
However, Lu Ling stretched out a hand, blocking his next move.
"Ling’er?" Gao Yang looked at Lu Ling in confusion. It wasn’t their first ti; he didn’t understand why she wasn’t letting him kiss her.
"Gao Yang, it’s not safe here. Soone might show up any mont. Let’s sit down and talk," Lu Ling sensed Gao Yang’s displeasure and explained.
Although this was a grove and not many people usually ca, there was no guarantee that soone wouldn’t show up. If the two of them were seen kissing here, it wouldn’t be good for either her or Gao Yang.
Moreover, she was only using Gao Yang and wasn’t genuinely planning to marry him. So, certain things couldn’t be done according to Gao Yang’s wishes.
Hearing Lu Ling’s words, Gao Yang didn’t insist any further and instead held her as they sat on a chair nearby.
After sitting down, Lu Ling chatted with Gao Yang for a bit and then got to the point, asking how the plan against Jiang Xue was going.
"Ling’er, I’ve already had soone investigate Jiang Xue, don’t worry. I promised you I wouldn’t go back on my word."

She was afraid that investigating Jiang Xue would implicate herself.

Just monts ago, while feeling guilty about Jiang Xue, Gao Yang made a decision that regardless of Jiang Xue’s identity or whether there’s soone backing her, he would fulfill his promise to Lu Ling.
Now, if the current person won’t do, he’ll find soone else. No matter what, he must help Lu Ling vent her anger. Otherwise, what kind of boyfriend would he be?
As for his parents, as long as he’s careful, it shouldn’t implicate them.
