The waiter was about to persuade him again when Gao Yang’s phone rang once more. So, he reminded Gao Yang, "Sir, your phone is ringing. Do you want to take the call first? I’ll go get your wine, okay?"
"Get lost!" Gao Yang growled, then reached into his pocket, took out his phone, and saw that it was Lu Ling calling. Without thinking, he hung up directly.
On the other end of the line, Lu Ling looked at her phone, seeing it was hung up, her face darkened. How could Gao Yang not even pick up her call? Damn it, how could he do this?
Didn’t he love her? Didn’t he say he wanted to marry her? Why is it that after just hearing a recording, he’s ignoring her?
Indeed, all n are liars, liars.
The more Lu Ling thought about it, the angrier she beca. She threw her phone aside and collapsed onto the bed. After lying there for a while, she sat up again, picked up the phone, and dialed Gao Yang’s number once more.
This ti, the call connected, which improved her previously gloomy mood. She sweetly called out, "Yang, where are you?"
But instead, a stranger’s voice ca through her ear, saying, "Are you a friend of this gentleman? He’s drunk. Could you please co to Midnight Bar to pick him up?"
"Okay, I’ll head over right now. Thank you!" As soon as Lu Ling heard that Gao Yang was drunk, she was suddenly delighted. She felt that this was her chance, a chance to win back Gao Yang.
So, after hanging up the phone, Lu Ling left the hotel and headed to Midnight Bar. Once there, she indeed saw a drunk Gao Yang, eyes closed and leaning back in the chair, as if he were asleep.
Seeing this, Lu Ling felt even happier, and she stepped forward and gently called out, "Gao Yang, Gao Yang, wake up."
Seeing another person in front of Gao Yang, the waiter approached and asked, "Are you a friend of this gentleman?"
"I am, we talked on the phone earlier." Lu Ling nodded and then said to the waiter, "Could you help call a cab?"
"Okay, hold on a mont!" The waiter responded and then left to call a cab for Lu Ling. In a little while, he ca back to tell Lu Ling the car was ready and they could go.
Lu Ling thanked the waiter and then asked him to help get Gao Yang into the car. She then told the driver, "To Lijing Hotel."
"Alright!" The driver replied, then started the car toward Lijing Hotel. Lu Ling had already booked a room in the hotel. At the entrance, she helped Gao Yang get out of the car and walked into the hotel.
Gao Yang was drunk, but not to the point of being unconscious. He was a soldier and naturally quite vigilant. At the bar, when Lu Ling approached him, he was already awake but pretended to be asleep upon hearing Lu Ling’s voice. He wanted to see what Lu Ling was up to and where she would take him.
When he saw Lu Ling bring him to the hotel and into a room, his face grew sowhat dark.
He thought to himself, she truly is a manipulative woman, daring to bring him to a hotel like this. Has she done this many tis before? How many n has she brought to a hotel before him?
Thinking this, Gao Yang wanted very much to open his eyes and question Lu Ling, but his curiosity about what she would do next kept him with his eyes closed, continuing his pretend drunkenness.
However, Lu Ling didn’t do anything to Gao Yang right away. Instead, she went over to a chair to rest. She was a woman, and helping a drunken man walk was quite tiring.
Moreover, she needed to think more about what to do next.
