Jiang Xue was scared, her little heart trembling, not knowing what to do for a mont. Running was definitely not an option, because she was sure she couldn’t outrun a tiger. But if she stayed here and the tiger suddenly went wild and ate her, what would she do?
Jiang Xue thought about going into her space, but the thought of retreating into it at the first sign of trouble would an she would never truly beco strong. Unless her life was in danger, she shouldn’t avoid it.
With this thought, Jiang Xue slowly cald down and ended up in a staring contest with the tiger. This tiger was originally sleeping in the cave but was surprised by an uninvited guest.
The tiger initially thought the intruder ca to kill it, but after waiting for a while, it didn’t sense any malice from her. Instead, she was staring blankly at the cave entrance.
The tiger knew it was raining outside, but didn’t see anything interesting about the rain out there. However, judging by Jiang Xue’s expression, it seed like she had accidentally stumbled in for shelter from the rain.
With this in mind, the tiger decided to give Jiang Xue a scare so she wouldn’t overlook its presence. This prompted the scene where Jiang Xue turned her head.
In the contest of big eyes versus little eyes, Jiang Xue wondered if it was her imagination, but she thought she saw a teasing look in the tiger’s eyes.
No way, has this tiger beco a spirit? How could it show such expressions in its eyes? She must have been mistaken.
Right, that must be it. The lighting in this cave was dim, increasing the chances that she was wrong. This thought reassured Jiang Xue, and she resud her staring with the tiger, ready to react. If the tiger attacked, she’d be prepared to counter or evade.
To her surprise, the tiger showed no signs of wanting to attack her.
Finally, Jiang Xue couldn’t hold back and spoke up, "Brother Tiger, what do you an by this?"
The tiger narrowed its eyes slightly at Jiang Xue’s words and stared at her. It wanted to see what Jiang Xue intended; if she had any designs on it, then it wouldn’t hold back and would eat her right away. This was its territory, and if this human intruded here, being eaten was just her fate.
"Brother Tiger, can we make a deal?" Jiang Xue continued when the tiger didn’t respond, "I have no intention of hurting you. I just accidentally stumbled into your cave because of the rain, and I disturbed your rest. That was my fault; I’ll leave now, okay?"
Although it was still raining outside, Jiang Xue felt that staying in this cave was too dangerous and it was better to leave quickly.
But if she left just like that, she worried the tiger might ambush her, so she said those words hoping that the tiger really had beco a spirit and could understand her words.
After speaking, Jiang Xue waited a bit, seeing no reaction from the tiger, so she tried moving towards the exit. She dared not turn her back to the tiger, so she could only back away toward the cave entrance.
Seeing Jiang Xue’s movent, the previously unresponsive tiger suddenly roared, startling Jiang Xue, making her sit down on the ground.
As Jiang Xue sat on the ground, her heart leapt with fear, afraid the tiger would co to eat her at any mont. But even as she got back up, the tiger made no move. Jiang Xue couldn’t help but sigh in relief and said to the tiger, "Brother Tiger, is it fun to scare like that?"
"Good thing I’ve got a strong heart, or you’d have scared to death." Jiang Xue patted her chest, then said, "Brother Tiger, I’m leaving now, please don’t scare again."
After saying this, Jiang Xue continued backing towards the cave entrance. However, just then, the tiger roared again.
Even though Jiang Xue was prepared, she still couldn’t help but feel her legs go weak.
