"How, how could this happen?" Luo Lan was shocked, looking at Jiang Xue with a pale face.

It was the first ti she heard that getting married too early was also illegal.

But when Luo Feng heard what Jiang Xue said, his eyes flickered, and he said, "Miss Jiang, coming from the outside, you really see things differently. We’ve lived here our whole lives and never heard of such things."

"Village Chief Luo, to be honest, please don’t get angry. Although your village looks like a paradise, as far as I can see, there are still many drawbacks."

"What do you an?" Luo Feng’s face turned sour. He always took pride in the village’s isolation. Because of this, the people in the village were relatively simple, without so many ssy affairs.

"Village Chief Luo, although I haven’t been here long, I’ve noticed there are very few children in your village. Why is that?" Jiang Xue didn’t pay attention to Luo Feng’s expression, speaking in a composed manner.

She had once read in a book that a long ti ago, there was a place with a few big families. Those families were initially very prosperous, but because they never married outsiders, eventually fewer and fewer children were born, and even if children were born, they were defective and unhealthy.

Of course, occasionally there would be a genius, but geniuses were the minority, while fools were plenty.

Today, as she walked into Taoyuan Village, she noticed there was no vitality, nor did she hear the laughter of children, so she guessed that there might be very few children in this village. Coupled with the fact that they were still wearing clothes from ancient tis, she quickly thought of the story she had once read.

This Taoyuan Village was isolated from the world, unable to marry outsiders, so over ti it was just like what was written in that book, with no children being born.

Luo Feng’s face looked grim, staring at Jiang Xue, wanting to say sothing but unable to utter a single word. What Jiang Xue ntioned was his heartache.

For over ten years, since his daughter Luo Lan was born, there were hardly any children born. Even when children were born, they were incomplete.

Seeing those children, while it pained him, he had no choice but to abandon them, burying them in the back mountain. Now, the back mountain had the bodies of over a dozen children buried there.

Jiang Xue kept observing Luo Feng’s expression, knowing she was right. So, she looked up at him and said seriously, "Village Chief Luo, do you want to change the current situation?"

"What did you say?" Luo Feng was lost in his thoughts and didn’t understand for a mont. It was Luo Lan, beside him, who asked Jiang Xue, "Do you have a way?"

She was a doctor who had followed her father in dicine for over a decade, and she knew about the matters happening in the village. She had always wanted to change the situation and had made efforts, like giving pregnant won dications to protect the fetus.

But it was to no avail; the children born were still incomplete.

Jiang Xue turned to look at Luo Lan, with a smile on her face, and asked, "Do you want to change it?"

"Of course!" Luo Lan replied without thinking. After speaking, she realized what she had said, regretting it and saying, "I don’t know what you are talking about."

"Miss Luo, you and I both know, don’t we?" Jiang Xue said lightly. Luo Lan was indeed a smart person, just not very cute.

"You?" Luo Lan was a bit angry, glaring at Jiang Xue. She was also a bit annoyed internally, that Jiang Xue had discovered the village’s secret.

It was her carelessness to bla, and the other was too cunning.
