After staying in the mountains for several days, there wasn’t even ti to change clothes, and they started to sll. Fortunately, it’s winter, so the sll isn’t that bad; otherwise, it would have been really embarrassing.
The couple took a shower and changed into fresh clothes. When they ca out, Mrs. Jiang had already cooked the noodles. Seeing them co out, she said, "Eat it while it’s hot; it won’t taste good in a bit."
"Mom, thank you for your hard work!" Mu Qiancheng thanked Mrs. Jiang and then went with Jiang Xue to eat the noodles. Little Reunion watched, and clamored to eat, too.
So, Jiang Xue had to go to the kitchen to fetch a small bowl, then served him so, letting him sit in the high chair to eat.
There was only a little bit, and since it cooled down quickly, Little Reunion could eat it very soon. Perhaps it was because he’d been eating bamboo marrow for the past few days, but Little Reunion ate quite happily.
Having just a bit wasn’t enough, and he started calling out again. Jiang Xue was a bit surprised when she saw this, then gave him so more.
In total, it was about half a small bowl, and Little Reunion finished it all. Mrs. Jiang watched, feeling happy, and said, "Grandson, you like noodles; Grandma will cook them for you every day from now on."
Little Reunion nodded with a smile, feeling that drinking milk every day was rather boring. Occasionally having so rice cereal, porridge, or noodles was quite nice.
Seeing that Little Reunion was full, Mrs. Jiang picked him up and took him to the sofa to play. While he was playing, Father Jiang ca over.
Seeing Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng still eating noodles, he couldn’t help but ask, "Why are you eating so late?"
"Got delayed on the road," Jiang Xue explained quickly, then hurriedly finished her noodles. After finishing, Jiang Xue wanted to wash the dishes, but Mu Qiancheng smiled and said, "Let do it!"
He then took the bowl from Jiang Xue’s hand and went to the kitchen to wash it. Jiang Xue watched, laughed, and then walked towards Little Reunion.
At this mont, the voice of the Little Fox sounded in her head: "Woman, did you forget sothing?"
"No, I didn’t!" Jiang Xue shook her head. What could she have forgotten? Now that Mu Qiancheng was back, what was there to forget?
Upon hearing Jiang Xue’s answer, the Little Fox was so angry it almost coughed up blood. But thinking of its rumbling stomach, it held back the urge to scold her, and said to Jiang Xue, "Woman, you’re full, but we, both of us, are still hungry."
Only then did Jiang Xue realize what she’d forgotten. No wonder, when she went to pick up Little Reunion earlier, that Big Tiger roared at her; it was hungry and wanted sothing to eat.
Thinking of this, Jiang Xue felt a bit embarrassed and then said to the Little Fox, "Sorry, I really forgot."
"Hmph, Young Master is hungry," the Little Fox imdiately put on a proud air upon hearing Jiang Xue’s apology.
"Got it, I’ll go in and make you so grilled at in a bit." Jiang Xue laughed, then looked at Mu Qiancheng and said to him, "I’m going back to the room to rest for a bit."
Mu Qiancheng didn’t think much of it and nodded, saying, "Go ahead, I’m here."
Jiang Xue laughed and went into the room. Mu Qiancheng stayed outside, playing with Little Reunion and chatting with Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang.
The Big Tiger saw Jiang Xue co in and looked at her with a mournful expression, which made Jiang Xue feel a bit awkward. Then she said to the Little Fox, "Little Fox, ask the Big Tiger if it wants to go back to the mountains. If it does, I’ll drive it back tomorrow."
"Okay, I’ll ask it after we eat," the Little Fox agreed with a smile. However, based on its observations, it figured that the Big Tiger probably didn’t want to go back.
