Cheng Li’s face was contorted with rage as she reached under the pillow and took out a letter. Holding the letter in her hand, her expression beca complicated.
This was a letter sent from the military, addressed to Jiang Xue. Upon seeing the na Jiang Xue, Cheng Li’s face turned sour again.
She had already opened this letter as soon as she got it back. She could recite its contents backward, yet she still read it over and over.

"I never received the letter. When did this happen?" Jiang Xue looked at Cheng Ying, her face sowhat grim. The letter Mu Qiancheng sent her was taken by Cheng Li, and she almost wronged him.
Cheng Ying thought for a mont and said, "More than half a month ago."
"I understand. So, Sister Ying, what brings you here today?"
