Mrs. Jiang and the others hadn’t eaten yet and had been waiting for Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng. Seeing them return, she instructed Niu to heat the dishes.
After dinner, Jiang Xue played with her son for a while, then went to the study to do her coursework. Although university assignnts aren’t many, each requires a lot of research.
Luckily, the study had plenty of books, and with a computer there, researching beca much easier.
Close to midnight, Jiang Xue finally finished her coursework and shut down the computer. anwhile, Mu Qiancheng hadn’t gone to bed, reading in the room while waiting for Jiang Xue.
After waiting until midnight, Mu Qiancheng was just about to urge his wife to rest when he saw Jiang Xue coming over.
"Finished?" Mu Qiancheng stood up to greet his wife. Seeing her exhausted face, he felt sorry and said, "Don’t stay up so late in the future. If you can’t finish it right away, you can always do it another day."
"It’s fine, staying up occasionally is okay. It’s not every day." Jiang Xue waved her hand, thinking she should have finished it in the spiritual space. With so much spiritual energy there, she wouldn’t feel as tired and worn out after a few hours.
Hearing these words, Mu Qiancheng felt even more sorry. He stepped forward to take his wife in his arms, letting her lean against him, and asked, "Do you want to rest a bit before bathing, or take a bath now?"
"I’ll bathe now, and then go to sleep. I’m skipping washing my hair today as I’m too tired; I’ll wash it in the morning." Jiang Xue said exhaustedly.
"Alright, I’ll run the bath for you; you can find your clothes." Mu Qiancheng said as he released his wife and went to the bathroom to run the water.
By the ti Jiang Xue had her clothes ready, Mu Qiancheng had run the bath and was testing the water temperature. Feeling it a bit cold, he adjusted it before telling Jiang Xue, "It’s ready!"
Jiang Xue nodded, then placed her clothes aside and said to Mu Qiancheng, "Okay, can you leave now?"
Unexpectedly, Mu Qiancheng didn’t move, standing there watching Jiang Xue and asking, "Xue’er, you’re very tired tonight, why don’t I help you bathe?"
As soon as he said this, Jiang Xue blushed instantly, shaking her head, "No, no, you go out, I can bathe myself."
"Are you sure you don’t need help?" Mu Qiancheng persisted.
"No need, you should go now!" Jiang Xue said while pushing Mu Qiancheng out. Jokingly, if Mu Qiancheng stayed, she wouldn’t just bathe but would be taken advantage of.
Seeing Jiang Xue’s refusal, Mu Qiancheng didn’t insist and obediently left. Shortly, Jiang Xue finished bathing and ca out in her pajamas.
Since she didn’t wash her hair, there was no need to wait for it to dry, so she directly slipped into the bed. Mu Qiancheng had ward the bed early on, making it really cozy and comfortable as she got in.
In bed under the covers, Jiang Xue felt extrely comfortable and couldn’t help but close her eyes. Mu Qiancheng had intended to chat with his wife, even connect emotionally with so activities.
Unexpectedly, when he turned, he found his wife asleep already. He was a bit speechless, looking at his sleeping wife, then glanced at his own "little Mu Qiancheng" before sighing and closing his eyes.
After a good night’s sleep, Jiang Xue woke up the next day. To her surprise, Mu Qiancheng hadn’t gotten up either, lying on his side and watching her.
"What’s wrong?" Jiang Xue looked at him puzzled, not understanding why he hadn’t gotten up and was watching her like that.
