Jiang Xue ignored him, picked up her book, and started reading. As for Lan Chen beside her, she treated him like he was invisible.
Mu Qiancheng had told her to stay away from Lan Chen, and she naturally wouldn’t disobey. Besides, she didn’t like Lan Chen anyway. Even though he had a handso face, he was like a butterfly, exuding a seductive aura everywhere.
Moreover, she never had a good impression of such n. She preferred n like Mu Qiancheng, who saw other won as invisible except for the woman he liked.
But n like Lan Chen were different; they were vain and wished all won would revolve around them.
Lan Chen looked at Jiang Xue ignoring him and felt a bit hurt. With a face full of grievance, he asked her, "Junior, what’s wrong? Why are you ignoring ? Did I offend you?"
Jiang Xue still didn’t speak. She decided not to respond to anything Lan Chen said. However, there was soone nearby she found quite annoying. So, she looked around and noticed an empty table next to her.
So, she picked up her books and moved to the table beside her, not giving Lan Chen even a glance.
Lan Chen initially thought Jiang Xue was flirting by pretending to avoid him. Now seeing her actually move to another table to read, he realized he was wrong. Jiang Xue truly didn’t want to pay attention to him.
Thinking of himself as the campus heartthrob, being slighted by a woman made Lan Chen’s expression a bit unpleasant. However, this only made him more interested in Jiang Xue. He secretly vowed to pursue Jiang Xue and then harshly break her heart.
Why should she embarrass him? Although there weren’t many people in the library, there were still witnesses to him being ignored by Jiang Xue when he initiated a conversation.
He had lost face and definitely needed to regain it. So, Jiang Xue, just you wait. I don’t believe I can’t win you over.
With this thought, Lan Chen didn’t go to Jiang Xue’s table again but opened his book and began to read. He remained until the library was about to close before leaving.
Looking up, he realized Jiang Xue had left at so point.
Jiang Xue carried her backpack and left the campus. Mu Qiancheng had sothing to do today and couldn’t pick her up, so she planned to take the bus ho by herself.
At the sa ti, Luo Weiwei also left the campus, intending to find Wang Biao. She had spent money, but there hadn’t been any results, which naturally made her unwilling to give up.
So, she wanted to find Wang Biao and ask him how he could have handled things so poorly.
Wang Biao’s place wasn’t far from the school, just two alleys away. Luo Weiwei quickly found him, and because Wang Biao was in pain down there, he hadn’t gone out.
Seeing Luo Weiwei arrive, he was filled with resentnt.
"Wang Biao, what’s wrong with you? Why didn’t you help teach Jiang Xue a lesson?" Luo Weiwei imdiately questioned him upon seeing Wang Biao.
Wang Biao already hated Luo Weiwei, resenting her for rendering him incapable of being a man for a month. Seeing her questioning him as soon as she arrived only made him angrier. He stepped forward without a word and slapped her, saying, "You shaless woman, how dare you ask? Because of you, I not only lost face but can’t even be a man."
Luo Weiwei was stunned by the slap, staring blankly at Wang Biao. Only then did she notice his grim expression and the marks of being beaten on his face.
She couldn’t help but speculate in her heart, thinking: Could this have been Jiang Xue’s doing?
