"Yes, they’ve called. It should be here soon."
Jiang Xue listened to their discussions as she squeezed to the innermost part. Sure enough, she saw an elderly man lying on the ground, looking pained.
Looking at the elderly man, Jiang Xue hesitated. She wasn’t sure if she should help. If she did, she feared she might not be confident enough. But if she didn’t, she felt uneasy.
After hesitating for a mont, Jiang Xue walked forward. Whether she could help or not, she had to give it a try.
As she got closer, Jiang Xue’s expression changed. The elderly man’s face seed familiar, as if she had seen him sowhere before.
However, she couldn’t imdiately recall where, and Jiang Xue didn’t dwell on it. Instead, she quickly stepped forward and reached out to feel the man’s pulse.
She had only recently learned pulse-taking, so she wasn’t very confident. She secretly used Spiritual Power to examine his body. Upon examination, she found an issue.
If not treated imdiately, the elderly man would be in life-threatening danger. With that in mind, Jiang Xue made a quick decision to treat the man.
Unexpectedly, soone stood up at that mont, kindly advising Jiang Xue, saying, "Girl, are you planning to help this man?"
Without waiting for Jiang Xue’s reply, the person continued, "This man looks seriously ill. What if sothing happens, and his family blas you?"
Jiang Xue glanced up at the person advising her and said, "Thank you for your kindness. But if this man isn’t helped, he might lose his life. So, regardless of the outco, I have to try."
With that, Jiang Xue ignored the person and focused on treating the man. There were too many people around, so she couldn’t use Spiritual Power. Fortunately, she had just learned acupuncture. She had brought her needles when she got off the bus, just in case.
Now, they were proving useful. Jiang Xue quickly took out her needle kit, removed the silver needles, and started inserting them into the elderly man’s body.
The man had already passed out and was unconscious, so Jiang Xue targeted so rather dangerous points with the needles.
People nearby were startled to see Jiang Xue inserting needles and imdiately tried to stop her, saying, "Girl, don’t! You’re putting needles in dangerous spots. If you aren’t careful, it could be fatal."
"Girl, do you really know what you’re doing? If not, step aside; the ambulance will be here soon."
Ignoring the outside voices, Jiang Xue focused on inserting the needles, checking the man’s condition occasionally.
One needle, two needles, three needles—Jiang Xue inserted five needles in total, each at a crucial point. Those who initially advised her lost patience and stood aside to watch the show.

Fortunately, effort doesn’t betray those who put their heart into it. After a while, the man finally regained consciousness. He opened his eyes, imdiately seeing Jiang Xue, and asked, "Girl, where am I?"
"Sir, you’re on the main road. You fell ill. I just helped you. Do you feel any better?" Jiang Xue smiled and answered his question, all the while removing the silver needles she had inserted.
Hearing Jiang Xue’s words, the old man recalled how he was walking and suddenly fainted, then rembered nothing.
Unexpectedly, he had fallen ill and been saved by the young girl in front of him.
