Wu Daming was the most enthusiastic. He brought an apple, tied it with a red string, and suspended it in the air. Then he challenged the bride and groom to eat the apple without using their hands.
Mo Qishen glanced at the apple in Wu Daming’s hand and raised his eyebrows slightly. Was eating an apple supposed to be difficult?
Did these people underestimate him?
Wu Daming stood on a stool and hung the apple near the couple. “Sixth Brother, Sixth Sister-in-law, no hands allowed, okay? 3, 2, 1! Start now!”
Just as Ni Yang and Mo Qishen lowered their heads to take a bite, Wu Daming mischievously yanked the apple upward.

The two tasted each other’s lips.

Ni Yang looked at Mo Qishen, her eyes full of surprise.
Mo Qishen remained posed, using his steel watch-clad hand to firmly cradle the back of Ni Yang’s head, deepening the kiss.
The applause, camera clicks, and ecstatic cheers immediately filled the air…
Shangguan Xu quickly extended a hand to cover Adelle’s eyes.
Adelle was beside herself with curiosity. “What happened? What’s going on?”
A slight blush crept onto Shangguan Xu’s ears. “Not suitable for kids.”
“What do you mean, not suitable for kids? I’m nineteen! I’m an adult now!” Adelle pushed Shangguan Xu’s hand away, only to be met with the scene before her.
“Whoa!”
Adelle’s jaw dropped into an “O” shape. Then, she quietly pulled Shangguan Xu’s hand back to cover her eyes, muttering awkwardly, “Okay, yeah, this is kind of inappropriate.”
After the wedding chaos, everyone dragged Mo Qishen downstairs for a round of poker, doing their best to ensure he didn’t get any alone time with Ni Yang.
The festivities carried on late into the night before the crowd finally dispersed.
Shangguan Dehui carried Little Ni Yun into the car.
At that moment, Little Ni Yun suddenly woke up, asking, “Daddy, are we going home?”
Shangguan Dehui nodded.
Little Ni Yun glanced around at the people in the car, rubbed her eyes, and said, “Daddy, wait a minute!”
“What’s wrong?” Shangguan Dehui turned his head to look at her.
Little Ni Yun continued, “Grandfather, Grandmother, Grandma, Mommy, Big Brother, Third Sister, and my older niece are all here, but my sister isn’t! Daddy, you forgot my sister!”
“Daddy, go upstairs and bring Sister back! Good children can’t sleep away from home!”
Upon hearing this, Shangguan Dehui and Ni Cuihua both got teary-eyed.
Old Madam Zheng cradled Little Ni Yun in her arms. “Yunyun, your sister is married now. This is her home now. She won’t be ing back with us.”
“Why? Why isn’t Sister ing home with us? That’s not fair! I want Sister! I want to go home with Sister! Sister!”
Little Ni Yun burst into tears by the end.
Old Madam Zheng held Little Ni Yun tightly. “Dehui, start the car. I’ll hold her.”
“Okay,” Shangguan Dehui nodded.
“I don’t want Grandma! I want Sister! I want Sister to go home with me!”
Old Master Zheng tried to fort her. “Yunyun, be good. How about Sister es back to visit you tomorrow?”
“No! I want Sister to go home with me right now!”
Little Ni Yun cried so hard that eventually she grew exhausted and fell asleep, sobbing.

As Mo Qishen opened the door, Ni Yang had just finished her shower and stepped out of the bathroom.
She wore a red nightgown, loosely fastened at the waist with a ribbon. Her delicate waist seemed to fit in the palm of his hand. The fabric gaps revealed skin so fair it was almost translucent.
Her hair was damp, and water droplets from the ends rolled down her collarbone, disappearing into her neckline.
She was breathtaking.
Mo Qishen walked over and took the towel from her hands. “Let me dry your hair for you.”
Ni Yang said, “It’s fine. There’s a hairdryer over there; it’ll be quicker.”
Mo Qishen sat down on the bed, holding the towel in his right hand while pulling Ni Yang’s wrist with his left. With a tug, he pulled her onto his lap, his grip tight on her waist.
“Let me do it.” His voice was deep, so deep it caused an inexplicable flutter of anxiety.
Before she realized it, Ni Yang felt the ribbon around her waist being gently untied.
Ni Yang gasped softly.

The next morning, when Ni Yang woke up, she felt as though her entire body had been crushed under heavy weights. Her limbs were weak, and she was exhausted all over.
“You’re awake.”
As she turned her head, her eyes met a pair of dark, intense ones.
Mo Qishen lay on his side on the bed, his right hand propping up his head, staring at Ni Yang.
Ni Yang froze for a moment. Just as she was about to wonder aloud why he was there, it hit her—she had bee his lawful wife yesterday.
