“It seems that way.” Zhao Shen continued to nod.
Old Mrs. Shangguan continued, “Lin Fang is a very calculating person, she acts one way from the front, and another from the back. When it es to guile, Furong can’t outplay her. I’ve already warned Furong, and you should also be wary of Lin Fang.”
Shangguan Furong is the type of person that wears her flaws on her face, she speaks her mind, if she had a bit of cunning in her, she wouldn’t just up and leave without even saying hello.
Whilst Lin Fang is rotten to the core, the type of person who acts like a human in front of others and a devil behind their back.
These two people simply aren’t on the same level, Shangguan Furong isn’t a match for Lin Fang.
Zhao Shen understood the implication behind Old Mrs. Shangguan’s words, “Alright mom, don’t worry, I’ll be mindful.”

Mr. Abner looked at Mo Qishen, “Yangyang is my mother’s goddaughter, so wouldn’t that make us somewhat like brothers?”
Mo Qishen gave a slight nod, “It is my honor.”
Mr. Abner said, “Being able to call myself brother to Mr. Mo is my honor.”
Though others were unaware of Mo Qishen’s status, Mr. Abner certainly was.
Three years ago, he had seen Mo Qishen once at a large gathering in F Country.
He was surrounded by a crowd, like the moon surrounded by the stars, full of glamour!
Simultaneously, he was also the only Chinese person there.

Watching the car driving away, Ni Yang tugged on Mo Qishen’s sleeve, “Brother Mo, did you and Mr. Abner know each other ahead of time?”

Mo Qishen lowered his gaze and stole a quick kiss on her cheek, as light as a dragonfly skimming the water.
Ni Yang glared at him, “We’re in public, mind your image, careful people see.”
Though Beijing wasn’t as conservative in 1984, public displays of affection were still a rarity…

All these events were noticed by Shangguan Xu from the second floor.
