Jiang Guangrong smiled and said, "Hey, what are you doing? How can you start with Director Zhao? Don’t get worked up, Director Zhao. Your son is asleep! Your son is my nephew. How could I possibly hurt my own nephew, right?"

Tian Jue kicked Zhao Zhong’s pistol off the floor, then backed up a few steps without saying a word. Zhao Zhong knew Tian Jue was very good at fighting, especially with her. He just stared coldly at Jiang Guangrong and sneered, "Mr. Jiang, you really know how to climb up a relationship. I’m not related to you. How could my son be your nephew?"

Jiang Guangrong’s smile deepened. His right-hand fingers tapped lightly on the armrest of the wheelchair. "We’ve been through life and death together as brothers, haven’t we?"

On that point Zhao Zhong let the argunt with Jiang Guangrong drop. Zhao Zhong knew if he kept talking about this with him, they still wouldn’t be done by tomorrow. He said coolly, "So what are you doing here, Mr. Jiang? Here to show off how fierce your people fight? Or are you planning to join in with us?"

Jiang Guangrong gestured toward the room he’d just co out of. "Director Zhao, could you go in so we can talk in detail?"

Zhao Zhong hesitated for a mont. He knew there had to be sothing big going on in Jiang Guangrong’s house this ti.

Jiang Guangrong stared blankly at Zhao Zhong. "What, you think just because I’m a Public Security chief I’m going to kill you?"

"Hmph! Don’t think that title is of any use to !" Zhao Zhong snorted coldly, lifted his chin, and walked into the room.

Jiang Guangrong nodded at Zhang Xianhai. Zhang Xianhai pushed Jiang Guangrong into the room, then pulled the door shut behind him and left.

Zhao Zhong sat down on a chair, crossed one leg over the other, and looked at Jiang Guangrong. "My ti is very precious. If you’ve got sothing to say, say it."

Jiang Guangrong sighed, lifted his head toward the ceiling, and said dully, "Director Zhao, you should know what kind of person I am, right?"

Zhao Zhong nodded and muttered to himself, "You took a bullet to the head and you lived. Ten days later you could roll out of the hospital in a wheelchair. You’re damn lucky. An ordinary person takes one bullet like that and they’re done. You hung on like a dead line that never got disconnected."

Jiang Guangrong chuckled. "Director Zhao’s life really deserves admiration. Selfless, not greedy, not dirty. He’s a good Great Officer!"

"Is that so?"

Jiang Guangrong sighed, his right hand clutching the armrest in a death grip. He ground his teeth and said, "Director Zhao, you don’t know why I had to kill Zuo Qingyun and his son."

Zhao Zhong’s right hand started to shake violently. He covered his face with both hands and buried his head between his knees. A few minutes later, Zhao Zhong raised his head. His expression was full of grief. "You’re stronger than . That’s sothing I can never compare to. Even if I know who killed her, there’s nothing I can do. This is a rule-of-law society that values evidence. As a Detective of the people, I should be the one upholding the law, not like you, who can just use your own hands to kill your enemy. If I could choose, I’d choose to die together with my enemy too. But I don’t have that option. I’m the chief of the Yanghe Public Security Branch Bureau. I have to lead by example. Besides, if I die together with my enemy, my son becos an orphan!"

Jiang Guangrong looked at Zhao Zhong with sympathy and sighed. "So you’re just going to let the person who killed your wife walk free?"

"What can I do? Do I have a choice? Even if I know the killer wasn’t those two, that those two were just accomplices, what can I do? Do I have a choice?" Zhao Zhong was extrely agitated. "I admit I’m not as good as you. You can take revenge for the one you love, but I truly have no way, no choice—really no choice..."

Jiang Guangrong laughed. "What if I could take revenge for you?"

Zhao Zhong stared coldly at Jiang Guangrong. "If I were going to do sothing against my professional ethics, I’d have killed the real murderer myself already!"

"No, no, no!" Jiang Guangrong shook his head. "Director Zhao, you’ve got wrong. I’m saying you and I have the sa enemy. As long as you help within a reasonable scope, I don’t need much from you. I just need to nab so of Blood Moon’s main Lords at the right ti!"

Zhao Zhong looked at Jiang Guangrong with suspicion. "It’s not just Blood Moon. There are plenty of people from your Xingwu Sect I want to arrest. But, Mr. Jiang, you should know—if I decide to, a lot of people beco untouchable."

Pretending he hadn’t heard that, Jiang Guangrong went on, intent on grabbing people from the Xingwu Gang. He smiled and said, "But what if Blood Moon’s boss Li Zhi ends up dead? Li Zhi’s son Xiao Yu is just another idle second-generation hood. Once Li Zhi is dead, Blood Moon’s network of connections falls apart. Then Blood Moon won’t have any ability to resist, right? You take your revenge, I run my big business. We don’t get in each other’s way. We work together this ti, and after that we have nothing to do with each other. How about it?"

Zhao Zhong stared fixedly at Jiang Guangrong.

Jiang Guangrong laughed again. "Director Zhao, you’ve been single so long that seeing a handso guy moves you? Staring at like that, I’m going to get shy!"

Zhao Zhong snorted with disdain. "Handso? You’re not even one ten-thousandth as good-looking as that punk from your Xingwu Gang!"

"Huh?" Jiang Guangrong looked at Zhao Zhong in surprise. "Co on, Director Zhao, are you complinting our Xingwu Gang’s Zhao Junkai for being handso, or are you saying I’m ugly?"

"Isn’t it the sa thing?"

"Mr. Jiang, listen to ." Zhao Zhong suddenly straightened his face. "I can agree to your proposal. If Li Zhizhen dies in so ’accident’, then I can arrest all of Blood Moon’s high-levels in Yanghe, and I’ll make every effort to use my connections outside Yanghe City. But... our cooperation is only for this one operation. Most of the ti, we’re not partners. If you do anything illegal and I have evidence, I will still co for you. Even if arresting you ans I lose my chance at revenge for life, I’ll still take you down—whether before or after this."

"Here’s to a happy partnership." Jiang Guangrong smiled and extended his right hand to Zhao Zhong.

Zhao Zhong stood up and shoved his own hands deep into his coat pockets. His face was icy. "It’s getting late. See yourself out. I won’t be walking you."

Jiang Guangrong grinned and withdrew his right hand. Zhao Zhong opened the door and walked out of the room. Then he quickly stepped to the front door and pulled it open. He leaned his whole body against the wall. He didn’t say a word, but the aning of seeing them out was very clear.

Jiang Guangrong smiled and nodded at Zhang Xianhai. Zhang Xianhai ca over and pushed Jiang Guangrong out the door. Tian Jue followed right behind the wheelchair.

Once the three of them were out, Zhao Zhong slamd the door shut without any courtesy.

Jiang Guangrong didn’t care. He’d already achieved the purpose of this trip. When it ca to dealing with Blood Moon, he could focus his attention on Li Zhi.

Sunx Han had been waiting downstairs a long ti for the three of them. Once Jiang Guangrong got in the car, Sunx Han asked, "How’d it go?"

"It was a success. When we move against Xueyun, Zhao Zhonghui will be my final killing move."

Sunx Han was taken aback and sighed. "Director Zhao is a tragic hero too. He gave his whole life to the Investigation Bureau. Who knew he’d end up unable to touch the man who killed his wife..."

Jiang Guangrong sighed as well. "He can’t. He’s the Leader of the Yanghe Public Security Branch Bureau. Those people planned it too perfectly, didn’t leave a shred of evidence. Without evidence, the Director can only lead by example; he can’t ignore the law for his personal vendetta. Maybe it’s stupid, but it’s sothing that makes people both admire and resent him."

Sunx Han suddenly tilted his head and looked at Jiang Guangrong. "I still think being like Director Zhao is better. I couldn’t do what you did. I don’t want to take revenge for myself. Besides, Director Zhao still has a son. If he dies, his son becos an orphan!"

"Ha ha!" Jiang Guangrong laughed, not denying it.

"By the way, what about Zhao Junkai? It’s already been a week. Isn’t it about ti we told him about you?"

Jiang Guangrong thought for a mont, then nodded. "All right, it’s ti to tell him. It’s still early. We’ll swing by and see him on the way. Sister Jue, Zhao Junkai is definitely going to make it."

Tian Jue toyed with the gun in her hand and nodded. "Whether he has a gun or not, I can put him down. He’ll be safe. The mont I see anything off about him, I can subdue him in no ti."

"Perfect, then let’s go find Zhao Junkai."
