Chen Qian grinned innocently and explained, "Director Lu, didn’t you tell to find an expert to protect us for this trip to Fengn Village? My Brother Ye is the expert — and a very powerful one!"
"An expert?"
Director Lu chuckled sheepishly when he heard her explanation.
It was initially no more than a passing remark.
Fengn Village was indeed remote and posed so risks coming here.
Still, Director Lu had already arranged professional security personnel responsible for protecting everyone at the station, so there was no need for any additional help, let alone "experts."

Watching a burly man with black gloves step out of the vehicle, Director Lu imdiately hastened forward with exaggerated steps to greet him warmly.

Director Lu frowned but understood Heishou was intentionally hiking the rates.
The real threat here wasn’t the supposed ghosts but the people.
If they didn’t comply, their group might not even make it out of Fengn Village, let alone finish filming the docuntary!
Given the lucrative sponsorship backing this project, twenty thousand was exorbitant but still manageable. Director Lu steeled his nerves to agree.
Before he could speak, however, Chen Qian muttered, "Why pay him so much? With Brother Ye here, we don’t need them!"

Originally prepared to concede to Heishou, Director Lu froze upon hearing Chen Qian’s remark, a chill running down his spine.
Who was Heishou?
